I have DSL from ISPWest. The DSL is rated for 256k download and 256k upload. But I usualy only get about 100k. But at least it's better than dial up!

I'm on 512K Broadband with a maximum download speed of 3488 kbps and a maximum upload speed of 448 kbps. I may decide to upgrade to 1500 kbps as I have a great offer from my ISP. My contract will be ending soon and is up for renewal but I haven't decided whether to upgrade or not.

infamous was suprise you were able to get online with all that speed you have their. As for the speed of my connection its on par with the rest of this thread. For most providers all have the same connection speed for their coustmers. What slows most of us down is all the line noise. Line noise is well all of us online. At different times of the day we may run acrossed a area of the net where too many of us are trying to pass through and our connection slows to a crawl. Both up loads and downloads are affected by too many online at the same time.

It's pretty slow isn't it? I can't download any things from the internet that bigger than 40mb per day because it's slow and i have a datalimit from 1 gb. So i go to my friends and i download what i want there and i burn it in cd.

By the way, Nobody at adsl2+ at the moment? My provider (wanadoo) is going to switch to it very soon so I'll be enjoying 20mbit/1mbit for € 23/month. (Not that I actually will reach those speeds, , adsl 2 requires you to be very close to the phone central hub thingy, which I'm not really close to)

I tested and it said 2.8MBPS per second. I can make it much fastr but imj way too lazy. When I used to be very organize and strict on my comp I had 4.8MBPS. My comp is fast but im too lazy to clean up anymore lol.
