Photoshop Tutorial: Bloody Text

Bloody Text

1-Create a new white back ground color document ( my document size is 500*150)

2- type your text ( Font: Arial Black, Size: 50px, Color: black)

3-click Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, Radius: 5.0 pixels.

4- Click Filter > Stylize > Find Edges, and again (Ctrl+f)

5-Click Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation, mark Colorize, Hue: 360, Saturation:100 and Lightness:0.

6- Click Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 CW

7- Click Filter > Stylize > Wind , Method: Wind , Direction :From the right. and again (Ctrl+f).

8- Click Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 CCW.

Nice effect, is it original? It's actually a little hard to read... but still nice, nonetheless :lol:

Truthfully, I really don't like the finished outcome and I don't think it looks anything like blood. However, this part:

Ahh, brings back the student-newspaper days! I was the photo editor (among other things) so I got to do cool stuff like this. Although I never *did* think about "bloody text" - very cool.

Not too bad actually, but I would think it was more of an iced look than bloody, but it is not bad. I would think bloody would be 'liquidish' and really runny. But that is just an added opinion.It never hurts to keep trying things out, but I like the imaginative flair.

Not really a great "blood font" but I was goin for a "Saw" kinda look and it ended up being EXACTLY what I needed  :D

I really appreciate the tut for this.
