  1. Very good~ This is the first time I've seen that pixel stretch used effectively.
  2. Err... I guess it's pretty cool. I don't really see the point. ^_- However, I do congratulate you on working all those color effects out. I'm sure they'd be really cool if you incorporated them into some other graphic. :3
  3. Yes, yes. Most everyone has mentioned the major things. You need a little more contrast and more stuff. It's just too blank. ^_- Play around with differnet kinds of backgrounds and don't be afraid to make the pictures big - it doesn't matter if parts of it get cut off. It's better to make them bigger and more visible.
  4. Nice! The perspective is quite convincing. However, I would suggest reducing the opacity of the scanlines. They look a little loud. ^_-
  5. There's a button in the botton right corner of the post box (next to delete and +quote
  6. eww. I don't like myjanee. All her tuts look so cheesy and fake. Plus, I don't think she has a good grasp of everything photoshop can do. I mean, she doesn't even seem to know what a dropshadow is! Her instructions say to use the brush tool with black at a low opacity. XP But I do have to admit that that one corkboard tutorial is quite decent. It's very unique. For ps tuts, I would suggest good-tutorials.com and pixel2life. Good-tuts is organised and faster loading, so in general I like it better, But p2l has just as good tuts.
  7. I'm not seeing anything. Just "Garbesi". *shrug* If that's the way it's supposed to be, then I'd like to point out two things:- there's a horizonal scrollbar. (800x600)- the reflection/shadow thing is off. for example, the swoop of the r should go left. Besides that, it looks really cool. Could you maybe make the animation a little smoother?
  8. =_= waaait, I thought they already merged? Or did Adobe only announce that it was definitly going to buy macromedia?
  9. I like the first one. It looks very good and very believeable. The third one also looks pretty good, but the nose.... is just a little too smeary. It looks too flat near the top (of the nose) and too sharp near the bottom where you didn't smear any freckles out.
  10. It would be nice if you put picture up. I didn't try the tut myself because I don't want to spend time on something that might look cheesy. wykked, where did you get lost?
  11. Truthfully, I really don't like the finished outcome and I don't think it looks anything like blood. However, this part: looks cool. It's a cool effect.
  12. Very nice. It very easy to understand. However, if you don't mind, I'd like to suggest something on step five. It works pretty much the same way, but It give you a little more room for making changes. Use the lasso tool with a feather set at ...oh 15 or so and make the selecting roughly around the edges. The click "Add layer mask" It should be at the bottom of the layers floting thing. Right under the layer thumbnail. Here's a kinda vague example. I made this ages ago and it's kinda ugly, but you get the picture. From there, you can click on the thumbnail on the right. (the black and white one). Use the brush tool set at either black or white and mess around with it. redsox: There really isn't much to it. Just go to DeviantArt.com. Browse>Resources>PS brushes. There are a bunch of really good brushes. Once you have them saved and loaded, open up a big-ish canvas in PS and just start brushing. You kinda need an eye for it. Once you have some good brushes, you'll find it easier.
  13. There really isn't much of a story. "alis" is based off my name irl, plus I have a thing for Alice in Wonderland and Disney and all that jazz. (And musicals. XD) On some forums, my username is actually alis in wonderland. Plus, I just kinda like the sound and look of it. It's simple and pretty and not many people are called alis/alice. I don't think I've ever met another Alice on the internet or online. :3
  14. I'm going to start out with a sig I made in another tut. (link) 1. Make a new layer on top of your sig. 2. Use the rectangular marquee tool to select the whole sig. The whole thing 3. Hit D. Edit>stroke (not layer> layer style> stroke) 4. Use the magic wand to select everything except that black stroke you just made. (Just click anywhere in the middle) 5. Hit x and repeat 3. Color should be white. 6. Repeat 4 and 5 to make make another black stroke inside. Eww. Yucky. Blending Option> Overlay Woohoo~!! More examples:
