Koel 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 The real question is, who is the moron programer who though it would be a good idea to put this in the game in the first place? At some point during the planning and writing of the hot coffe mini game, someone should have said "You know, I dont think this is such a hot idea." Why did it last untill it was finished before someones boss said "ARE YOU BRAINDEAD!?"

iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 4, 2005 I just found out something about GTA San Andreas. Rockstar, the developer of this game, encrypted a "sex minigame" in between the girlfriend sequence. But because they didn't want it anymore and it would take days to dissect the information from the disc, Rockstar just cut off access to it. The "sex minigame" is in EVERY San Andreas disc. IMO, they should have found better ways to hide their naughtiness. That's why the San Andreas rating went from Mature to Adults Only. You have to actually hack files to play the "sex minigame." If Rockstar or whoever was trying to claim hackers were the one that inputted the Hot Coffee mod into the PC game, what will their excuse be about the play station 2 version?? Hopefully nothing like, "Oh, someone got a hold of our producing building where the games are being made, and inputted the codings in there while we were too busy watching Pokemon. Seriously, they should've thought about this before trying to win against the Hot Coffee mod. I think this GTA deserves an Adult Only rating, and hopefully they learn in the future to wipe it out instead of just hiding it.
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2005 oh COME ON, the only way to access the content is by illegally modifying the content you purchased. While the AO rating is reasonable they do NOT deserve it. Hell, if the only way to see it is by DOWNLOADING A FILE AND RUNNING IT, that obviously means you want to see the content. Now, if you want to see illegal porn content in a game, you are just as apt to download a freakin actual porn movie, so I don't see why this is such a big deal. It's easier to get porn online then it is to download an install a mod so you can go into a game and see some retarded pixel boobies. Seriously people are so demented about sexuality nowadays its frightening. We should make everyone walk around naked for a few days and then maybe they'll realise that if kids see naked people they arn't going to die or something. It's a lot easier for a kid to type in "*BLEEP*" in yahoo's image search than it is for him to find the mod, install it, download it, and actually go in and play the game to that point. The whole thing is a mess. I'm moving on to Swat 4 or Battlefield 2 now anyways, so
Nemisis 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2005 I have heard that it was a lot bigger than Vice City, but I could be wrong. It looks bigger, IMO.GTA: SA....a very good game. Ranked one of the highest on gamespot.com, and for good reason. The way you can customize your character by being muscular and skinny, or big and fat....Just awesome. The GTA series is just amazing. One thing I hate about this game....the media/critics or whatever you want to call them. They are always bashing on this game, saying it is causing violence in children. I hate that! I have done a report on video game violence, in response to the GTA3, and I have found a bunch of BS complaints from stupid politictians. I am sorry, but I do not believe that this game causes little children to kill people...Stupid, IMO.

Herbert1405241469 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 On a similarly related note, I just saw an article posted on Actiontrip.com saying that they've been doing a long term study on the relations between real life violence and video games. They're quoting some other site, so I'll post the original site instead of Actiontrip's copy: Study: No link between games and violenceFor years, concerned parents and opportunist politicians have clung to the assumed truism that violent video games begat real-world violence. Never mind whether it was true or not, it always made for great sound bites and gave a crime-fearing public something to mutter under their breath about. But now word comes from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign professor Dmitri Williams that a long-term study he helmed has concluded that, in fact, there is no currently provable link between games and real-world violence.According to the study, which looked at players who devoted an average of 56 hours over a month to the online game "Asheron's Call 2," there was no statistical difference in behavior between those who had played the game and those who didn't."I'm not saying some games don't lead to aggression, but I am saying the data are not there yet," said Williams in a release. "Until we have more long-term studies, I don't think we should make strong predictions about long-term effects, especially given this finding."So, in effect, Williams is hedging his bet. Maybe there's a link, he's saying, but no one can prove it definitively. And that, my friends, in scientific terms, means that there's no link. See this space in five years for an update.Anyway, this is either good news or bad news, depending on who you are and what your place in the criminal justice system or politics is. Politicians will hate it, because they no longer can point to the link between games and violence--at least, not legitimately--while violent offenders will also hate it because they can't use games as their defense.Posted by Daniel Terdiman Source:http://news.a.com.com/
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Yea I no longer have a source, but I think someone checked out over 300 research studies about violent media (all, not just videogames) being the cause of violence in people, and about 30 that specified videogames, and apparently only a small percentage said there was even a possibly small correlation, and that was likely caused by the fact that violent people would be attracted to violent media. So while they try and try to find a way to prove the evils of "the videogames" I dont see them finding one worth any value of reputability any time soon. Â But I have come to an understanding that maybe it's alright to some degree, but I would not agree with ever game in the entire house being violent!
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2005 Please try to refrain from quoting me then "agreeing" with me only to explain how you agree with the opposing view to my own haha nah j/k. I might not have made it clear, but I dont agree with all of the "videogames make people bad" stuff. The point to my previous post was that out of hundreds of surveys only a few found ANY relation at all, and if you know anything about stistics there will always be anomalies so you can't take hundreds of test, find one that flows with your argument, and call it a proof. London, san fransisco? I don't think so ... I haven't come across anything of the sort. I've heard that they're gonna start a new GTA from the ground up ... GTA4.... which will be even more realisitc than San andreas which will tap into the complete power of the PS3. If that's so, I'm gonna buy a PS3 .
