fermin25 3 Report post Posted July 17, 2010 The other day I was thinking about the money and all the work that a lot of people, including me of course, do to get the most amount they can. And the banks borrows money from another banks and the economy depends of the money and the country depends of economy, so everybody and everything depends on the money. I get entertained thinking in all that people who today will get rich and all that people who today will get poor, all that people who today dream with the personal superation. Everybody work for the money. The money is the owner of the world. The money motivate to all the people go to work everyday. So, the money owns to you and me.And thinking about these arguments I was. Until a spot in my head said me: "... why work to make money, when I would can to make literally the money, printing it..." and I got this idea. The central banks in all the countries print money, the federal reserve in the U.S. prints money, Why can?t I print money too? I have the knowledge about a man who was in my country printing false dollars and with a lot of precision that the only way to get discovered was that once in a casino in a Royal Caribbean?s boat he paid with a bill with the same number of series that another bill the cashier has. What is the probability of that? The police discovered like 200 thousand dollars in his home and a little machine to make dollars. The case was very popular and the U.S. asked for the extradition of this man and never know what happened with him. Maybe I would can be the latino Frank Abaganale.I am confused. There are people that got arrested at a business near me for using counterfeit $1 bills (yes, literally one dollar bills). It's depressing. If you make fake money you are bound to get caught at some time. With dollar bills there are special ways serial numbers are given and a lot of other things most people don't know about. Not to mention the "paper" isn't real paper; and it's laced with a special chemical for tracing purposes.

Everybody work for the money. The money is the owner of the world. The money motivate to all the people go to work everyday. So, the money owns to you and me.The thing about money is that it really doesn't have value. WE give it a value -- we make it worth something. WE own it. Without people MONEY is just a paper. And thinking about these arguments I was. Until a spot in my head said me: "... why work to make money, when I would can to make literally the money, printing it..." and I got this idea. The central banks in all the countries print money, the federal reserve in the U.S. prints money, Why can´t I print money too? So I am thinking about make a secret printing house and print money to get rich. I don´t know how can I to make false money but i can try, Rigth? Before -- I mean... a long time ago during the 1800's people used to print money all the time and get rich overnight. The only way to put them in jail was catching them while they were printing it or if they don't provide information on how they used to be poor 2 weeks ago and now they a mansion and thousands of dollars. In some interviews people said that 'it was fun' and that 'it was worth it' and 'its not like printing money nowadays'. In modern times, the bank and the police/FBI/IRS can track the money because the government has some kind of special area where there is more chemicals than others. They test that part and if it is found to be fake -- you are going to jail for a very long time. I have the knowledge about a man who was in my country printing false dollars and with a lot of precision that the only way to get discovered was that once in a casino in a Royal Caribbean´s boat he paid with a bill with the same number of series that another bill the cashier has. Maybe I would can be the latino Frank Abaganale.Everyone is going to get caught sometime or another. Even if you only use a bill once and then think you got away with it -- they will find you sooner or later. Printing money is popular in third-world and south americans countries -- they usually use it to 'pay' for drugs from a buyer, of course the buyer has now got a detection kit or something and they are gonna kill you with their UZIs. So this is my idea. Maybe is not intelligent to post it here but I want to know the opinion of Xisto´s members. Some recomendations? Would be good to take the risk and go to jail? I am thinking about it all day long so my head is burning. I am confused. So I wait some advises or recomendations. Bye.My advise is that you just forget about the whole thing. IF there WAS a way to get away with making fake money -- everybody would be doing it... heck I will print night and day YOU are going to get caught if you try something like that. AND if you are going print some... don't print it out from Google Images
rvalkass 5 Report post Posted July 17, 2010 And thinking about these arguments I was. Until a spot in my head said me: "... why work to make money, when I would can to make literally the money, printing it..." and I got this idea. The central banks in all the countries print money, the federal reserve in the U.S. prints money, Why can´t I print money too?Two reasons why you can't print money - it's illegal, and it devalues the original currency. The Royal Mint prints money in very strict quantities, and most of it is to replace old notes and coins that are worn out, rather than creating new money. If you print new money then you make all of the money in your country worth slightly less, so it would effectively be pointless if everyone started doing it. There are also practical issues as to printing money. The papers, dyes, printing processes, watermarks, counterfoils, etc are all produced with very specific processes, and you would raise suspicions in trying to replicate them.Maybe is not intelligent to post it here but I want to know the opinion of Xisto´s members. Some recomendations? Would be good to take the risk and go to jail? I am thinking about it all day long so my head is burning. It's not worth the risk. It's illegal and carries very heavy jail sentences in most countries. Remember that everyone is very used to the money in their own country, and they know exactly what it looks and feels like, even if they aren't consciously checking it. I'm not an expert, but I've been handed money in shops before and refused to accept it because it is fake. People know, so you would have great difficulty passing it off to people, and would get caught out incredibly easily.
DodgyPhil 1 Report post Posted July 17, 2010 Two reasons why you can't print money - it's illegal, and it devalues the original currency. If you print new money then you make all of the money in your country worth slightly less, so it would effectively be pointless if everyone started doing it. That's why a lot of African countries, and Germany in the 1920s had super inflation. The governments printed more money to try and combat economic problems and the depression, but ended up making money worthless. There's a famous picture of two German children playing in a fortress made out of 1000 mark notes. It's also why a loaf of bread in Zimbabwe costs, on average, $10,000,000. The Germans actually tried to create inflation in Britain in World War 2. If anyone's seen 'The Counterfeiters', they'll know the Germans forced former Jewish craftsmen and criminals to create fake British Pound Sterling notes so they could pump the British economy full of excess money and devalue the currency. Other than that Fermin, your plan sounds really great. Just make sure not to leave out: - Several of the watermarks - Any invisible bar-codes - Any strips of precious metal woven into your currency - The 100% unique code on the notes - The incredibly detailed artwork on the notes (it's more than just eye candy) - The colour shift ink - The appropriate texture (cashiers can feel if money isn't printed on the correct paper, and are legally obliged to call the police) - The high printing quality used by your government, digital printers are incapable of recreating the detail on legal tender. - Coloured fibre. US Dollars have red and blue fibres embedded in the paper. Also, make sure the notes weigh exactly the right amount. And remember, the more the bill is worth- the more effort the government will put into protecting its identity. Realistically, you could quite easily replicate a $1, a $100 bill would be nearly impossible. Have fun making a Million dollars one note at a time though- it'll be fun! (And you'll learn something, and isn't that the most important thing?)
fermin25 3 Report post Posted July 18, 2010 Well first of all I want to thank you to all of you for your replies with a lot of good information. Really, I only have this idea but I am not printing money rigth now. yeah it will be really fun to go shopping and buy a lot of things with fake money and full my house with very cool things that now I can?t buy. This idea has been in my head since two weeks ago and was reforzed by one movie that i seen last week about the Third Reich where they obligate to jew prisoners to make fake britain pounds and dollars but I didn?t know that the porpuse of this project in the world war 2 was to create inflation in England and United States. I thougth the purpose was to use the fake money to buy oil in the neutral nations like Switherland to expand the militar equipment and raise the nazi army. Well print money maybe it?s not recommended but in my country I think that there is not any special division to this type of crimes because here the dollars falsification is common and the steal of debit from bank account with some special credit cards is common, also. I don?t know how those guys can to make this great steals to the people who use the ATM?s and the machines where you pay with your credit card in the markets and all the stores. So I want to thank you for the recomendations and I won?t to make this project because I am really scared about go to jail and lose some years of my life living behind the bars here in my country. And all the pain that I will cause to my family leave me without choice. I have to work and open a company to get rich there isn?t another option.

But doesn't Honduras have the 'toughest police force on the planet' to clear away false money problems and drug wars? I think I saw that on TV... Well, I can't be sure. Anyways, Good Luck on your enterprise!
zanzibarjones 1 Report post Posted August 16, 2010 Quite frankly, you could print your 'own' currency and make it worth something. But doing so would be very hard to accomplish, but it is possible.Supply and demand. Look at the aspect of bartering, people are taking an item and putting a value on it. Based upon wants and needs, others value that item as well, but the difference is, they desire it where as you don't anymore. But you know it is worth something.Paper money is the same. We as people desire it, because we give it value, we know it is needed to get other items.I say you are in fact creating or printing money when you create a work of art that is then sold. I mean it is just canvas an paint, but you made it desirable, hence worth a value of trade, whether it's paper or gold, or another item of like value. In american, the paper money that is out in circulation is nowhere near the amount of gold we have stored/locked away. But the government keeps on printing it like theres a magical gold fairy whizzing around dropping more and more of it into our stock piles. The actual paper itself it truly worth more than what is printed on it. dab 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Haha, I was actually bored one day, and decided to make copies of some 100s my mum cashed out from the bank. Placed the bill in the scanner, and printed front/back. I accidently flipped the bill incorrectly so instead of saying 100, it said 001. Well, my friend saw it and, being an inspiring cop informed me of the laws of counterfeiting. I was like "I know, but isn't this cool?". Well turns out, that according to the US Law, any sort of bill attempting to imitate a USA Bill, is illegal, regardless of how poorly done. So my backwards 100$ bill would get me in the same amount of trouble as a perfectly copied, created and manufactured non-paper counterfeit bill.

I have to admit, I've tried copying bills for fun too, they never come out right though or look pretty damn bad. Here's something that you probably already know but I find it really interesting: https://www.engadget.com/2006/01/20/fun-with-photoshop-currency-detection/It's Adobe Photoshop's currency detection feature to prevent fraud And did you know?"In case you were interested, it's not only Photoshop that has currency detection systems built in (with undisclosed algorithms) but also many printers and scanners."This topic is really interesting, thanks OP. That's insane. I didn't know that. I didn't notice any issues with Photoshop on the 100 :/ Trippy. I wouldn't have thought something like that would be easily done, but doing a bit of reading, it seems to be quite simple for Photoshop.I suppose I know now, even more than before that counterfeiting money is serious! Strikee 1 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 Who wouldn't like to get rich that easily? As some of you said in this topic , think about Frank Abagnale .. he got so famous that even Leonardo Di Caprio Played his role in a movie! It's a way to risky business to get involved in and I don't think that a few years of happines could compete with a few years in a JAIL!. I have "friend" , or better say.. a person I know who got caught because of a mistake the police did. He bought a mobile phone from a person and that person gave him false Euros , of course without him knowing it. Everything was ok , no one knew anything until the cops showed up at his door , saying that he's arested beeing acused that he's apart of a money printing group. If you think about it this is the easiest and theoreticaly the fastest way to make money , but it's only a mather of time before you get caught!Maybe if you work a few years for the National Bank in your country and find out how REAL money get made MAYBE you could try to make them on your own and hopefully , doing such a good job that no one could realise it , at least until you leave the country ).Anyway , the smartest thing is to try and make money on other ways , more ..legal ways. rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 It is also classified as a federal crime to write on money unless you are an official bank or government employee with the rights to do so. This includes people who write messages on their bills and other things, like highlighting and coloring.
Harlot 2 Report post Posted September 24, 2010 It is not smart at all to make such a post on this forum, especially if you intend to go through with it. Even if you have no intends on carrying it out, you could one day be given fake money and then you could get caught trying to spend it. You post on this forum would be strong evidence for any jury. As for printing money, I have no objections personally, although its illegal. I wouldn't do it, but I don't think doing it is morally incorrect. You have a small elite group of individuals controlling the creation and distribution of money, and dictating the monetary system not only within the US, but also on the international level. I would advise you to do your research extensively, and perhaps it mat be easier to fake money in a third world countries such as Zimbabwe.
dab 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2010 I remember seeing on the news quite a while back, that some people were making fake $20 bills on 5$ bills. So it had all the right texture and what not, but it had the watermark (the one if you hold it up to the light) of a 5$ bill.. I think that's what it was. Maybe they made it on a $10 but the point is they used a real bill to make a higher bill. Wasn't half bad idea except they caught on to it. lol.
