if you look ugly enough there is no problem from normal guys to wanna have sex with you ;)*edit to remove undesriable abbreviation* what is wrong with sex ?! it's a need...that's all, like food...and because of the society sex became a "bad" thing...till some years ago it was just taboo, doh... and now after the communism disappeared (excluding china/cuba and some) an explosion of xxx movies appeared...doh I guess people will never fully understand it's purpose..

I dont think you can really generalise like that. Most guys are nice people, not sex obbsessed perverts (although, being a guy, my view couold be slightly bias)Although there will always be exeptions to the rule, the ones who think so much of their appearance that they think its normal, or right to do things like that.I have been using MSN and different IM programmes, for about 6 years, and this is the second time i have heard of this.Just block them, and forgt about it.I dont think it is fair to say that HALF of the male population is like that, infact, i dont think it is really fair to generalise like that atall, i think you are basing that on one event. Its like, trying a drink, and finding a fly in it, then saying you will never drink it again, because of that one time...

why are guys like that?

It's really not fair to say it like this. Like you and anyone else, no guy wants to be stereotyped. OF cause there are guys like that but there most guys that I know find the whole camsex, roleplaying and fantasizing thing quite disgusting. What is funny here is I used to think there are more girls that boys looking for online sex. I used to complain about the "See me naked..." links that one will get if they put their Skype in "Skype me mode" I hate them but I never hated girls for that. I still have decent online friends who will never talk about things I dont wanna hear about.
My advice to you is: Learn to say things in a way that does not offend a large group of innocent people. Your topics anme got my attention.

Well, as a male, I find this to be quite an interesting topic. Why are guys so inclined to this type of unnecessary sexual and perverted behavior?

I think that one of the major reasons for this is that, in short, we have been brainwashed. Look at the media, the music videos on MTV/Much Music/etc. they are full of sexual images, and the have created a world full of lustful animals. Not to mention the pornography industry, which undoubtedly has tempted 100% of males who know what a vagina is to spend countless hours in front of the computer/t.v./etc. watching the perverted images flash across the screen. The world around us has turned women into an object of pleasure, and this is utterly wrong, and a perversion of what God intended for us.

I dont think you can really generalise like that. Most guys are nice people, not sex obbsessed perverts

Unfortunately, this is a common misconception. As sad as it seems, every male, whether you can admit it or not, is like this. Of course, others have this problem to a more extreme degree (like what gisellebebegirl witnessed), and some have it to a much lesser extent. For a real life example, I'd like to use one of my friends, who shall be called 'Bob'. Every time Bob sees a women, he will usually decide to inform me of whether she is hot/sexy or not. Now to some of you, this may not seem like a problem. You may say something along the lines of, "That is only a compliment." However, when you look much deeper into this you can see that Bob only values women for how they look. Why is this so? The FIRST judgement he makes about a women he meets is on how she looks. So instead of treating her like a human, you begin to treat her like an object. It is like purchasing a vehicle solely on it's aesthetics.

Of course, due to the chemicals/hormones and generally how our brains our wired, we cannot help but feel inclined to think about sex. I myself have struggled with pornography, and other lustful desires. But, from my own experience, I believe that we are able to over come such desires, and reverse how we think. We are able (but we must be willing) to change how we view women. We can change this view from a disgusting one where women are treated as objects used for pleasure, to one where we consider them humans.

To sum up my opinion... I guess you could say the following. We are naturally inclined to be disgusting animals. This is not helped by the world in which we live, in fact, these animal desires are only enhanced by it. If us men are ever able to overcome this, we must realize how we are treating women is wrong, and we must change it.

People need to evolve or grow the heck up.Just reading the OP belittles what respect I have left for a lot of guys, and that's bad. What possible gratification would you have in doing what gisellebebegirl was describing, aside from maybe getting some kicks in knowing you grossed someone out? People are idiots.KansukeKojima might be right about guys - and this would be applicable to girls too - about humans being, well, human. It's the maturity that I encourage to have some self-control and not be a moron about something like this. I'm not sure how everyone else sees it, but I view sex as something that you share with someone you love and care for... so things like one-night stands and promiscuous activity may seem appealing at times but in the principle of things, I don't find the concept very attractive at all. The media does promote a lot of approach towards sex appeal and guys and girls gobble up this crap like a kid in a candy store, and it takes quite a bit to actually separate what you're being pushed towards with what you really want to be as a person. I always question why girls always complain about shallow guys and arsehole boyfriends and yada, yet they wear "skimpy" and "skanky" outfits... and you can't tell me that a miniskirt during the colder times of the year can be comfortable, or a low-cut tee is really there for cooling purposes. As far as receiving random invites, go to Options > Privacy and check the "Only people on my Allow List can see my status and send me messages" box. That's just a no-brainer right there if you want to keep this sort of thing from happening.

Thus the reason I can't find a girlfriend because its morons like that and the myspace pedophiles make it had for people to date because all they will be thinking about will that guy do me in a dark alley or something like that. Heck I would report the dudes email address to police to find his butt and throw him in jail for him exposing himself and what not. Guys are stupid and all they think about is sex and money and video games.

:)

The guy is obviously a total jerk!

But I wouldn't say all guys are like that. Some of the guys I know, are really nice guys and dont feed themselves on sex and sexual activities.

Now, people, just because the people you meet act the way they do doesn't mean everybody else does. Its just the same problem sensationalized and overly publicized that it becomes a very big unsolvable problem. If you think about it, not all guys are disgusting and perverted, and not all girls are leeches and gold diggers. Come on, if all guys and girls are like that, the world be even more chaotic than it already is. For gisellebebegirl, that guy is just perverted and you do not deserve that kind of treatment. How about you make it so that only your friends can chat with you? And the reason why you see those kind of things is maybe because you go to public chat rooms, right? When you go to all those kind of things, there are risks. Get yourself ready for things that might happen. I do not think that you wanted to be chastised and talked to in any kind of offensive manner, nor do you deserve to be. Saying all people are the same means even you and the people close to you are the same, right? Generalizing is the most common mistake people do after they get offended. Its okay if you got over it but just don't do it again and again..gisellebebegirl, I am truly sorry that you got offended. I do hope you get more decent and nice guys to help you out.

Well, Giselle, you are right, there are a lot of blokes on the internet who only seem to use the internet to get sexually aroused and who, whenever they chat to a girl/woman, always have to take sex as the topic, and ask people about their sex lives, or ask them if they are willing to get undressed in fornt of their webccam etc. However, women are not always the completely innocent party as you seem to claim here, on a number of occasions I have come across women who, even when you accept them on your Yahoo/MSN/AIM or whatever from a reputable source (maybe they were your friend on Tagged or something like that), as soon as you accept their invitation to be their chat buddy, try to lure you to a site where they claim they give strip shows for their friends. Some of them just won't take no for an answer and will keep harrassing you until you finally end up blocking or deleting them.No need to say, by the way, that the sites they want you to go and visit charge a fee for joining, and, God knows (no idea, because I simply ignore it all) they might even overcharge you, or do credit card phishing, or steal your card details, or good ness knows what else. So, I think there is no need at all to come here with remarks such as "why are guys like that?", as some women have the same tendencies, and apart from the sex aspect, want to attack you in your wallet too.

This appears to be a very old topic and it probably should not have been brought back to life, but I have to say that this is extremely interesting and I am moved to express my opinion on the issue. Lump all guys into one bunch is like lumping all human beings into one bunch. People have different characteristics, and different personalities. People have different likes, interest, mannerisms, values, morals, and etc. The same applies to males, and the same also applies to female. For example, I am a male and I think it is disgusting to randomly expose yourself on a website - or at all for that matter. Even if the person on the other end consents, you never know who is on the other end, it could be another man! However, the same goes for females. I have been on web chats that allow for video docking, and I have seen females randomly expose themselves. Although it was to my enjoyment, they don't know who is looking on the other end, and what the personality of those people are. In fact, I would say that females are more likely to expose themselves on video then males...in some cases it is their profession. I can't count the number of times that I have been browsing the net and a webcam (probably pre-recorded) of a naked woman popped up, trying to sell me time with her (online prostitution if you ask me).As for guys, yes, sex is a natural desire that most males - if not all - have. Nevertheless, that does not mean that such desires are not regulated by morals, values, and our knowledge of what is right, wrong, and our feelings and views of what is disgusting and a disgrace. You don't have a bunch of males going around trying to have sex with family members - for the most part - because the attraction doesn't exist (due to moral or w/e other factors regulate sexual behavior). The same goes for other sexual behavior, such as exposing yourself online, rape, or sleeping with someone too young for you. There attraction is not there for the typical, well to do and decent male. Yes, a guy wants to have sex with his girlfriend, so what? Its natural and normal. As long as he is not raping her or physically forcing her to do it, it is by consent and females have the ability to say no and go in another direction. There are some guys who are only in relationships for sex, which I think is wrong, but I would argue that such behavior is also natural, at least amongst young males who are not mature enough to understand the importance of dedication and commitment. Just as the young female does not have the maturity to know better than to engage in sexual activities until the relationship is stable and mature. As for the guy who exposed himself on your webcam, he should be thrown in jail for indecent exposure. He couldn't have know who was on the other end, it could have been a young girl or something. Although I don't believe in online dating, I think Saint Michael is right. I don't online date because I don't know what kind of sick women - or men posing as women - are online. Nevertheless, there have been people who have found love through online dating and online relationships, but it is not my cup of tea. I do think it would be easier to find a mate online because you find other people who are actively looking for a partner at the same time that you are, but as I stated, it is impossible to know if that is the actually person. There is always a possibility, even with a webcam, that its not the person thats on the video - or the person may be a psycho.

i have never used msn messenger, i just have used yahoo messenger for about 10 hours and i use gtalk and skype for communicating with my friends but anyway there is a topic about chat culture in this forum and i think the reason why some people are doing this is the lack of chatting culture. if you look to yahoo messenger rooms you can see these peoples in any room which is really annoying. i think if they have their own messenger and their own chat rooms they will not come to other messengers anymore which i think that msn messenger is going to be their messengers because i have heard such thing from many peoples so i suggest everyone to use skype for chat but if you want to find some friends, social networks such as tweeter and facebook are nice place and after finding some friend chat with them using skype.
