Google Earth Can Be Used Off-line? A Question

Recommended Posts

thanks for the link fars

I knew that this was possible but I didnt have the exact procedure to make the contents available offline.

We've got ADSL (not the fastest speed) and, depending on the area of the earthm some images take a while to load....plus it takes up a lot of resources. How long does it take to load all the images on dial-up?

it tkes nearly 3 minutes to get a really close view of any place

Yes Google Earth can be used off-line too. As you go through the pages during online, this pages are saved on your system and afterwards you can be able to see those places even you are off-line. Google Earth captures whole world and it has all places and all the cities in its directory and in a clear form. Its really helps those who want to know more about their or other cities. Also their is one more site for viewing the maps. This is the wikimapia. It also covers the many part but not more clear than the Google Earth.Google earth is a great product of Google for me.

Is there a place to download a large area all at once. If I could download the USA then take it to the school computer for our students then it would help so that you don't have to go look at every place while caching. Thanks

Yes it's quite possible to use Google Earth offlie .
Please follow the below link to get complete information regarding this.

Enjoy using Google Earth on Offline.

Cheers! :)

That link just leads to an error that the page does not exist, :P. And while you could probably view parts of Google Earth while offline, I doubt it'll be too much. There would be massive amounts of data that would need to be downloaded prior.
