Windows Vista Tranformation Pack Make you computer look like Vista

Recommended Posts

It looks very nice... but, what about the system performace???It needs much memory? Because, maybe is seen very well, but it can that the system becomes slow, and for many the yield is much more important that the appearance. Single a commentary, that can help you at the time of installing aplicacioes in its PC. <_<

I advise you not to Install it if you plan on UnInstalling it. When trying to do this in an earlier version of the program, it *BLEEP*ed up my registry, command prompt, and my system shell. I ended up having to do a total reinstallation of windows XP to rid of it. :)

Just somethign that i recently noticed, when i installed the Tranformation pack, the process explorer.exe took a hell of a lot of ram. about 100mb at times. I'm not sure if it is caused by the transformatuon pack or not, but it went away when i changed back to the classic windows appereance.
Usually Themes and Appereance changes do slow down the perfomance but i never seen it to that extent. (This was on other computer, a crusty one)

I bought a proffesional looking WINDDOWS XP the other dday, and it turned out that it had a vista theme! It was beautiful, but then the OS was pirated so everything was a fake modification to the XP. The OS was slow. I had my PC checked by a programmer and he is thinking of sueing the store where I bought it from.

I'm guessing that this would slow down the computer? But it's a good find, now I don't need to buy Windows Vista..lol (although I would probably end up buying a new computer anyways...)

Any Windows Vista themes compatible with Widnows 98 SE or Windows 98? I want to install it on my older computer, just to be safe.I tried installing another version on the Windows 98 computer, it needed another program which depends on Windows XP. :)

Very interesting. Changing the theme. I have heard of a prank when you delete all icons on a desktop then add a picture to it with the icons on it :P It is funny because they think it is broken. They actually paid someone to take a look at it.(Please do not remove this sorry if off topic :) )

erm, I think for theme packs it doesnt make your computer crash... Only when you install the real Vista software then it'll happen... And I believe that only happen when your computer is not Vista Compatible... Make sure that you have enough RAM and your hardware are the minimum requirement of Vista... You can grab the Vista Upgrade Advisor from the Microsoft website where they'll tell you which hardware/software you're lack of...

Ok, some people here have probabely been trying to make their computer look like Windows Vista.

I have to, i found themes and so on but nothing i like they were all crusty, i searched and searched.

And found one, The Vista Transformation Pack 4.0 (They will probabely make new versions of it).

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

It contains everything

# Icons

# Themes

# Visual Themes

# Bootscreen

# Login Screen

# Sounds

# Transparency

# Start Menu Changes (WIth Vista Button inseat of start)

--Thats all i can think of but there probabely more.

Downside..I changes all you system files, so you get a lot of warning when you install it, the bootscreen is in 16 bit.

But it is Awsome..for instance have a look at my desktop, i took a screenshot of it:

Size: 14mb

Ohh and nearly forgot to mention, it changes the clock look to.

Plus you have 4 Visual Styles, one of them is dar, other changed the start menu, and the side menu you get when you go to My Computer, it goes to the top.

It is pretty cool, so far i have used it. The Tranparency gets anoyying at times, and you can control the opacity rate. So thats good.

Sister Software you can get:

# Sidebar

# Widgets Bar

If you know any other Software addon please post it.

And yes, it does come with an uninstallation program.

If Glass2K installs wit it Just disable it and there wil no longer be any transparency! I don't like it either, as it even shows thru when youe viewing videos.
