Why Spam Is Spreading Through My Domain Email

I just checked whois of my domain , and it has been listed in BLACKLIST:... because they say that there has been sent the spam from my domain email etc.here is the detail.... whats going on ? why you let others doing spam ? to get money? THIS IS NOT FAIR. Im very disappointed.

Quite possibly you have a virus that is picking up your domain email address from your computer. It might be worth scanning for viruses. I doubt very much it would be something Xisto has done, you should be very sure of your facts before making such accusations.

I have mcafee internet security 2006, mcafee antivirus , antispam and firewall..my windows is updated always, my all softwares are real and they are upto date.i always keep on scanning my computer.there is nothing in my computer.and about being sure of my facts...this matter is only between me and Xisto..no 3rd person is involved..and i never ever send anything through my domain email..or did nothing with it.i rarely open the email..what else i should think ?? to be true, i had a free host before too and everyday i was getting so much spam in my mail box..even i never gave my email to anyone.what else i should think ?

you should be very sure of your facts before making such accusations.

i went to showcase topic..and tried to find the domains which were hosted on Xisto...i found some domains..

then i went to domain tools and you can check whois of all the above websites..all of them are blacklisted.
After that, domaintools.com that website offers free membership , if u register there then you can see all of 193 websites which are hosted on Xisto/Xisto - Web Hosting.and then i started to look by alphabetically..for instant..

what do you mean those sites are blacklisted? is it a good thing or a bad thing? because my site is Hogwartsmagic.net and im just curious as to if it is a good thing or a bad thing....

 

another possibility for getting all of these spam e-mails is beccause you have listed the e-mail address on some site, maybe if you have forums and in your profile as your e-mail you have "you@pakdir.com" a bot can pick that up and add you to a list of e-mails to send junk too....i know every day i get loads of it because i have my e-mail address listed on the forums of websites i go to to sek help, or get information etc...and so they pick it up from there...

 

that is probably the most possible thing there....also if you have your e-mail address listed on your site anywhere...

 

most of my spam is all "sex" related stuff.. and i didn't sign up for it

Yes as soon as I had put my email address on my website my spam increased by 20 a day. Its tricky because you need to have it there for customers and then the bots grab it. Set up a couple of email addresses. a Hotmail for random sign in that can get spammed to high heaven. And then private email that is never given away to the internet. You can also have your email address as a gif image on your website - that the bots cannnt see.leeleelee

OK, if it's not a virus then it's probably what others are saying here. A bot has picked up your email address from the internet somewhere. I have some concerns about the 'blacklist' itself, it may not be anything to worry about.Perhaps you can explain how this 'blacklist' works. My domain, (mudmall.com) is apparently also blacklisted. However, when I go to the "Blacklist Details" it shows a completely different domain as the culprit, (crystalsystemsanalysis.com). In fact, it shows exactly the same details as the link you have provided. Therefore, why does my domain, (and yours) show as blacklisted in domaintools.com? I'm confused. Perhaps there is something wrong with the blacklist? What exactly does it mean to be 'blacklisted' anyway? What effect does it have?

theres nothing to do with my email or with any one's email..and i havnt gave anywhere my email liek me@pakdir.com etc etc.. i have just written my domain name pakdir.com and i havnt enabled the option to catch all the emails with my domain.. anyway the ip address of the Xisto is in black list..black list domains are the domains which spread the spam on internet and there are diffrent organizations which provide the spam database...just give the ip of the server "64.69.46.210 "and you can see by yourself..

Well, all the stuff they discuss on the link to spamhaus.org looks like gibberish to me. I read through quite a few of their pages and still don't understand what most of them talk about using all that Computereze with three letter short-hands. First of all, I couldn't use the site to find out that Xisto.com is listed there.Second, I just sent some email from my site that was received quite fine, thank you very much. So if the trap's DNS is blocked, the Block isn't too effective, and I wish you would stop making these allegations wthout verification. What evidence can you provide that any mail has been blocked as spam? I'm sure that OpaQue would appreciate receiving the information so that they could lock-down the account providing the SPAM, allowing for the server to continue with its normal operations .

again..see my posts above..u can give ur server ip on any of the spam checking websites (domaintools,dnsstuff,spamhaus.org..u will find that.if u still think all of the websites r telling lies...ask them to give u proofs which will definately not convince u as well.

What evidence can you provide that any mail has been blocked as spam?
I'm sure that OpaQue would appreciate receiving the information so that they could lock-down the account providing the SPAM, allowing for the server to continue with its normal operations .

obviously, DOMAINTOOLS.com is returning FALSE POSITIVES with regards to their BLACKLIST. The SPAMHAUS project has got some cleaning up to do as well, since it is what is used by DOMAINTOOLS.com.

 

64.69.46.210, can be IP traced to gamma.xisto.com. SPAMHAUS's IP Address lookup brings it up as listed in their SBL (spam block list Ref#: SBL40666), BUT clicking that reference number brings up an altogether different IP (64.69.46.192/26) as listed on the Spamhaus Block List. do a quick search of 64.69.46.210 from that SBL page, and see what you find: NONE! so where does the problem lie? xisto? Xisto? or SpamHaus/DomainTools? the spam in question as reproduced on the spamhaus is CRYSTALSYSTEMSANALYSIS.COM and hosted with CALPOP.COM, which is not even remotely related to XISTO from what i know.

 

ITSSAMI, you are advised to THOROUGHLY STUDY first your claims before posting such in here, and JUMPING into conclusions. if anybody can dispute my findings above, please feel free to do so. i am open to the possibility of my being wrong.

 

and ITSSAMI, doing a WHOIS on your PAKDIR.COM shows you are hosted with BLUEHOST (ns1.bluehost.com, ns2.bluehost.com). and your domain's Blacklist Status is stated to be Clear. your other domain TALKBY shows it hosted on BLUEHOST as well, also with Blacklist Status as Clear.

 

are you STILL hosted with the xisto network? what other DOMAIN/S would that be? hoping to hear from you. You seem to have endless issues with XISTO, when the problem i can come up with is sitting between the chair and the computer on your end.

i have reading that and i usually dont start blamining without any reason..and i wont argue anymore.i really didnt mean what you guys are taking..im not fighting with Xisto thing.i was doing so much hard work to make my website and then i got to know that its blacklisted.i really disappointed me.and instead of explaining things here , you guys just started to take it on your ego.well...about my name servers are blue host..the answer is that when i saw my domain name as blacklisted i tried to contact you guys here but when this matter started..then i just bought the hosting package of bluehost..and as soon as i changed my ns..it cleared the status after 24 hours i think.so i think i will be no more using this hosting..but i will still say that you guys got me wrong.. as long as i was member here..( many months ) i didnt blamed anyone or i didnt use any bad language or any fighting or argue..i always respected the rules..and everything..i simply needed some explanations and all that started.

well, Xisto along with the XISTO network has got a reputation to protect. the simplest explanation we can give is that you didn't DIG enough information to back up your claim of your subject: "Why Spam Is Spreading Through My Domain Email". i didn't see pakdir.com even mentioned in the SBL referred to in the blacklist, did you? you just took it hook, line and sinker from domaintools/spamhaus, right? and what else are people doing here, if not trying to come up with all sorts of explanations in previous posts? ego is not the real issue here. facts (correct, and not contrived) should be.

 

well...about my name servers are blue host..the answer is that when i saw my domain name as blacklisted i tried to contact you guys here but when this matter started..then i just bought the hosting package of bluehost..and as soon as i changed my ns..it cleared the status after 24 hours i think.

No offence--but I think this situation was handled rather badly by everyone.You guys are overlooking what is probably the most obvious answer: itssami, did you have a contact form on your website? I'd be willing to bet the answer is yes. And that it is in hastily written php.If you leave any script that can access the mailserver without providing the nessacary safegaurds then you're just asking to be abused by spammers.If this happens it isn't Trap17s fault. I hope you enjoy your new host (I mean that sencerely), but if my guess was corrent you should really fix that problem--else you'll just get blacklisted again.
