iGuest 3 Report post Posted June 19, 2009 "How to Save a Life" by The Fray has got to be the most depressing song for me as my uncle died round about the time the song was released, so I stopped listening to it. The next time I listened to it in full was 6 months later during the summer holidays sitting at home all alone cause my friends had all left me even my "best friend", my brother hadn't spoken to me in 4 months, my dad became an alcoholic and I was constantly arguing with my my mum and sisters. Then when I heard it I just burst into to tears cause it just reflected my life and brought back memories.-reply by Bern

iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Not all depressing music is that whiny emo crap dude. For instance, you'll see that on my top five. 1. Nights in White Satin - The Moody Blues 2. Helplessly Hoping - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young 3. Hurt - Johnny Cash (I prefer his version over the original) 4. Blood of Eden - Peter Gabriel 5. If You Could Read My Mind - Gordon Lightfoot
iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 top five "depressing songs" and a messageDepressing Songs1. Gravity - sara barellies2. If it means a lot to you - a day to remember3. Remembering sunday - all time low4. Down - acoustica5. The kill - 30 seconds to marsI just want people to know--those that think people are whiners when they express their feelings--its people like you that make things worse. When someone says their life sucks, maybe it does and they need someone to talk to. You just need to understand--and maybe you do, but if you understood, then you wouldn't call it whining. When someone tries to tell someone, they are asking for help but you make them feel hopeless, worthless when you tell them you don't have time for their "whining." the next thing you know, they're gone...And to those that have issues--you are NOT alone please, share your feelings cuz I promise you that there is someone who wants to listen and help. Screw the *BLEEP*s that call you a whiner. They're just insensitive, selfish losers who don't understand. You ARE worth it--don't give up on account of one of them *BLEEP*s. You could even talk to me. I'll listen. I understand.-reply by Angela

iGuest 3 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 If you're going to even bother listening to something worthwhile, while also semi-sad and border line depressing...Well, the fray? coldplay? staind? THAT'S depressing to me. That right there is horrible music. I'm depressed just seeing the names, let alone hearing the music. Nevermind, it's not horrible music, it's music that inflicts pain to my ears; they bleed. You want sweet and sad melodies to tug at heartstrings? Elliott Smith's "Oh Well, Okay", "2:45 A.M.", "I Didn't Understand" Radiohead's "Motion Picture Soundtrack", "No Surprises", "A Reminder" Sufjan Steven's "Casimir Pulaski Day" Interpol's "The New" The Avett Brother's "Murdered In The City", "The Ballad Of Love And Hate" Seriously, learn.-reply by Callan

iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 My 'favorite' depressing songs 1. Snuff- Slipknot 2. Vermilion Pt. 2- Slipknot (NOT -VERMILION-) VERMILION PT. 2 Vermilion Pt.1 is not sad at all) 3. Hurt- Johnny Cash 4. Mad World- Gary Jules 5. Through Glass- Stone Sour 6. Darkness- Disturbed 7. Seize the Day- Avenged Sevenfold 8. Dead Memories- Slipknot 9. Bother- Stone Sour 10. Sunday Bloody Sunday- U2 I think everyone knows what kind of music I listen to based on the songs I listed. Most of the bands are heavier music. However, those bands (slipknot, A7X, and disturbed) have REALLY depressing or sad music. Listen to Snuff, and Vermilion Pt. 2 and Disturbed's Darkness. -reply by Jewphin
