i use win xp now.first time using it after some years using win98se, i feel there was a significant speed when browsing internet. and sure it has more powerful multi asking than before. but the bad thing is there are many "hole" that make inviting some internet virus in. im sure some people experienced 1 minute rebooting! without any interuptions possibility from user. fortunately there are some patch for sealing/masking the holes.i like win xp just for client but mostly like unix/linux for server..

in about one month ago when i suspended, then when i get a positive credit, its just counting in minutes.. the hosting was unsuspended and indicated by email confirmation.currently my hosting is suspended too, but i dunno why, cause i didnt get email and my credit is still positive.now, i just waiting for admin response, either from email and forums.

yes, my credit never went negative in at least 3 weeks ago.and also i never got email notification regarding Xisto hosting.is there any warning email if my postings were categorized spam or brake TOS or something like that?what should i do then?

Hi Admin,since yestd, my hosting always directed into suspended page of xisto.i checked email, there was no email from Xisto about notice of suspending host as usually when suspend occured.please help me!thx in adv..

i never use blog in my site. i surprised if span can attack a content of blog site.i thing before it just attack such email cause the know our email address on site using their crawler system. thats why i.e. google groups have a partial hidden mail on their system to avoid spam.talking aboud email, sometime my friend send email but go to bulk mail together with spam mail. a system categorize it as a spam. its very terrible. thats why i prefer and never use anti spam in my email system, then i delete it by myself mannually.

i prefer download tar.gz instead of .zip cause.. extracting the .zip file from cPanel will become 666 for files and 777 for folders/directories. it needs chmod 1 by 1. using .tar.gz file, there will become 644 for files and 755 for folders. i set cron jobs, to back up my email that hosted here periodically (daily).in some days it was runing well, but at some next periodic times it didnt work.ussually, i delete the job and make a new (the same) one.the result.. it runs only for some days, then not works again.is there a problem on Xisto?

u dont describe what error it is? 1st time u install phpBB was OK, right? so the next should be OK too, whitin the same way. if u dont mine, using fantastico is easier, mostly success, but u must spend more capacity for multi language support. it can be deleted then.

i guess there is an automatically script from fantastico ti instal phpnuke, then there is a prompt to install where ever we want. just put into root directory, it will install. and finish with confirmation.but the bad news is.. i never using phpnuke. so its just i guess

It preinstalled win-xp_pro. it seems run well until now.One of that PC, i used to intranet web-server using linux redhat 9.0 plus 10k.rpm scsi hdd. it was running well before until nov'04. the Power supply' fan was stuck. services under warranty was very long time, 3 month for fixed. actually replace by the new one. now using new power supply, just one day the same case occured. currently i use unbranded power supply while waitng for the next services.

btw, how to make domain using virtual host from linux that can be called from windows based?lets say, there is an intranet with linux as web server (and DNS server too) with some windows cients. then windows can browe web server using the name of virtual host at linux instead of its IP?i built that system but it cant "ping" using that name (virtual host). its only ping using IP.can u tell me how?
