  5. well what do you really mean by "safer"? If you do a simple search you'll findout that there are many more exploits for phpbb than for IPB. my choice is from far IPB. It' better, faster, stronger than phpBB. But of course if you can't afford it phpBB is a good choice.

  12. debian linux is really l33t. i use it till death! but don't forget about freebsd's powah!
  13. suse 9.3 it's huge too it has 4.17GB (DVD ISO)
  14. debian for desktop because it's fast and has best package management tool (apt) and freebsd for servers becuase is no doubt the most secure.cheers!
  15. well i run debian on desktop and freebsd on servers. -_-i tested lots of distros (mandrake[now mandriva], slackware, redhat, fedora, suse, adamantix, xandros, knoppix, corel linux, gentus, gentoo, phat linux, kubuntu, ubuntu, mepis, openbsd, freebsd, netbsd, desktopbsd and more i think ) but debian seems to be really good value. slackware is also a good choice... i think.cheers!

  19. You can try using DC++ http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/. The only speed limitation you have it's your ISP's.
  20. KDE is really eyecandy. I love it.But talking about stability i would choose GNOME.
  21. I prefer using Debian GNU/Linux for desktop and FreeBSD for servers.Reason: BSD systems are much more secure and stable than linux.
