Phpbb Or Invision Power Board ?
machinamedia replied to lamode's topic in Websites and Web Designing
well what do you really mean by "safer"? If you do a simple search you'll findout that there are many more exploits for phpbb than for IPB. my choice is from far IPB. It' better, faster, stronger than phpBB. But of course if you can't afford it phpBB is a good choice. -

Windows Or Linux Which is better, Windows or Linux?
machinamedia replied to MarCrush's topic in Operating Systems
debian for desktop because it's fast and has best package management tool (apt) and freebsd for servers becuase is no doubt the most secure.cheers! -
well i run debian on desktop and freebsd on servers. -_-i tested lots of distros (mandrake[now mandriva], slackware, redhat, fedora, suse, adamantix, xandros, knoppix, corel linux, gentus, gentoo, phat linux, kubuntu, ubuntu, mepis, openbsd, freebsd, netbsd, desktopbsd and more i think ) but debian seems to be really good value. slackware is also a good choice... i think.cheers!

Free Bsd Vs Linux Which do you use and why?
machinamedia replied to freedomjazzdance's topic in Software
I prefer using Debian GNU/Linux for desktop and FreeBSD for servers.Reason: BSD systems are much more secure and stable than linux.
