  1. Does the new Limewire file sharing prog work with Windows XP Service Pack 2?I used to use Kazaa or WinMX and both wouldn't work due to the firewall even though I put it through so that it excluded them from the process. I even went onto their sites and got the neccessary numbers I guess to put in and it still didnt' work. Do any of you use both?
  2. Hmm lots of wanting to change browsers though I did this and it really didn't help because Firefox did it as well. I think it might just be that IE 6.o problem mentioned earlier so I might try to dg the IE on my comp.
  3. If the reason you dislike the Ipod is because you don't like the "fad" of it then you are totally not running your life in the way that is great man. The Ipod is pretty damn good for playing mp3s though I think I'm getting the Dell MP-Player just because I can never get Ipods to work.
  4. Do any of you realize that Gmail does have more compacity to be watched by the gov than apparently any other email client out there? I read it in my local paper and then read about it in Time magazine. I guess that is why I don't like it.
  5. Well this only seems to happen when I am answering Livejournal replies via my email but this is what goes on. I reply and it posts the reply but in a seperate IE window. All of a sudden tons and tons of them open up and the only way I can shut them down is by ending the prog manually. Does anyone else know why this happens?
  6. I am wondering. Why do some people just make ringtones where there are so many phones out there now that just allow mp3's to be ringtones? It seems to me that when I try to dl certain ringtones, they sound like crap even though they sound great online. I am really wanting to find a site where the ringtone actually sounds good and then when you dl it, it sounds just as good.
  7. Please post your gmail invites in the correct sub-forumlink -->http://forums.xisto.com/topic/129-google-invite-exchange/

Am I so far behind?
  9. I honestly keep a list of my passwords in a book that only I am able to look into at home. I keep it hidden and the space that it is in is nowhere near findable.
  10. Honestly I think that the Mac OS X system is wonderful. I recently used it and I couldn't find any flaws in it. It ran smooth, downloads were instantly told to me and I was allowed to choose whether to do so or not. Even for the smallest files. I thought that it was pretty complete and though Windows has a lot of extra features that can be attached, I think that Mac OS X would also at some point in time.
  11. You will probably have to either go to an "adult" or continuation school. You won't be able to get back into regular school because usually they wouldn't allow someone so advanced in age to go back that far. My suggestion would be to go to your local community/junior college and start off there.
  12. The blood sport of Election 2004 is over, Bush is in for four more years and those politically aware ask a collective, ?OK, What?s next?? Where does all the energy and political interest go when the candidate you supported either won or lost? Win or lose, in politics there are two forms of campaigns, Electoral and Issue based. In the electoral cycle, (which ended on November 2nd), a campaign?s success is based on the power of its volunteers. However, the ?sweat equity? of campaign volunteers is typically spent the day after the election, leaving little energy or interest in then moving the issues that matter. It is in that void of popular activism that the country?s professional lobbyists go to work. Special interest groups ranging from the Tobacco Industry to Motion Pictures employ full-time teams of legislative advocates to work either pushing their issues into law or to defeat bills that may be potentially harmful to their interests. Two days after the November 2nd election in a small Colorado High School a group of students barricaded themselves into their library for four days to demand the newly elected administration hear their concerns. This protest was an effort to air a desperate voice of concern based on important issues affecting young people and their families. Issues such as the Rising Cost of Public College Tuition, Jobs & the Economy, Healthcare and The War in Iraq are issues of chief concern to young people in America. While the volunteer base of both sides are either patting themselves on the back or licking their collective wounds, the nation?s lobbyists and special interests are working overtime shaping the public?s policy. 13. I did used to use Firefox and it did load faster, but that was only text. The GFX on some pages just loaded so slowly than IE that I just had to stop using Firefox all together.
  14. eMac 1.25GHz PowerPC G4 256MB DDR333 SDRAM 80GB Ultra ATA drive SuperDrive iMac 20-inch widescreen LCD 1.8GHz PowerPC G5 512K L2 cache 600MHz frontside bus 256MB DDR400 SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 64MB DDR video memory 160GB Serial ATA hard drive Slot-load SuperDrive I recently used both and dear lord the iMac is the future of PC's. It totally had the capabilities of a regular PC and yet the sleakness and smoothness of Mac OS X. It was awesome. While the eMac sure did have some good features, the iMac was just the better of the two. What do you think?
  15. I believe that the basic part of life is to live a life where you are proud of everything that you do. No matter if others say it is wrong or right, just do it. Anything at all. Even if it means you hurt others, do it. Just as long as you are prepared to pay the consequences. I have hurt people in the past and I payed my due to society and I am still proud I hurt them because it made me happy to defend my friends. So go out. Do something Anything, that makes you happy.
  16. 1) You are a freakin moron who doesn't seem to get the point and calling my gf stupid when you are probably some sissy *bottom* mofo who lives with his parents and gets everything he freakin wants and just wants to feel better by bashing people you don't know. How f*cking dumb are you? 2) Socialistic system - read a *BLEEP*ing newspaper, get a freakin clue, read what the world thinks about Europe. As far as they are concerned, the UK is socialistic. I never said it was good or bad, but I did say I didn't like the system the UK has. Read about the UK before you even think of posting a thought or lack of one.
  17. No doubt MS will try to buy this item and it will be a hot commodity for a while. I am very glad to see that Sony and Toshiba are still making quality products after their recent falls from grace in the computer world.
  18. No not really. The UK, most of Europe, and Canada are all considered Socialistic Ecnomic systems. I think you need to pick up a book and read up man.
  19. So I just read some journal entries about people who believe they have gone through bad times. I got a few choice words for you. Be glad that you don't have the things over your head that I have. I repent for the things I did everyday as I see them cross my eyes over and over every day of my life. I can't even begin to word and write about the *BLEEP* I did openly illegaly and hurtfully. I don't claim to be a good person, I'm probably one of the worst people that could possibly be under the age of 20. But I am still here and I am trying to make my life better. I have a girlfriend who is homeless and has been since she was the age of 13. Did she do things that other girls look down upon. YES! did she do things that most people look down upon.. HELL YES! did she do things that I didn't do.. *BLEEP* NO! when you are on the street, you do what you need to do to survive til the next day. *BLEEP* you people who are so *BLEEP*ing high and uppitty that say, " Oh she culd have gone to the gov for $$$ and help.." trust me.. we have and they haven't helped her at all this whole year and 4 monthes that I have known her. All I am trying to say is that we have all gone though bad times. Some worse than others and some take things differently because of the person they are. I'm not saying that is bad, but realize that the world isn't that bad. America isn't that bad. Stop bashing America and life itself. yeah we got issues wrong, but *BLEEP* every country does. We are the only country where you can go to school and work adn earn your own. *BLEEP* to the UK, to Europe, to Canada.. damn your socialisitic economic systems where you got homeless people who possibly could make the same as someone who works their asses off. HERE IN THE U.S. YOU GET PAID FOR HOW HARD AND HOW SMARTLY YOU WORK!![EDIT! sorry for anyone who is insulted by this. I do not mean to speak badly of any other country and try to say that the US is the best. We are far from. I know that, we all know that. But I am tired of United States people trouncing this country and touting others as wonderful when they have never lived there nor even tried to live there. I am tired of having to defend the U.S.A. which has given me more opportunities than when I was in France, Germany, and Canada and really did make a valiant effort to create a job for myself. I have been to Europe. It is one of the best. This whole world isn't bad and I didn't mean to make it sound so. I believe though that people need to realize that most of Europe is socialistic meaning that if you are "homeless" then you'll not have to deal with some of the bull *BLEEP* here yes.. but at the same time you can't earn as much as the United States allows. Neither is good nor bad, I just wish people would recognize the different between Capitolism and Free Market (the whole world works on free market ie you give a service you get paid, but in Socialistic economies you have to pay higher tax and have really no representation of it the way the USA is claimed to not show but actually does. My apologies to my world friends including the European ones because I know they live in a great continent and I dearly didn't mean to write badly about it but I had to due to the anger that this post was created upon. Thank you]So guess what people? wake up and realize that we all go through bad times and I am gladly open to talk about them but don't *BLEEP* like it is the end of the world. I have been to the end. I have been incarcerated and been in solitary confinement in a little 3foot by 3 foot box with no lights and only one peice of bread and 3 cups of water all of that time. That is the *BLEEP*ing the end of the world. When I came out, I was harder, I was smarter, I was better than ever. I smiled and laughed on my way back to my cell. Now I'm almost 20 and I am working to get my gf and me off our "bad" lives and into our own home ^^ It'll be so great :DI am taking almost 20 units in college (over full time student), I am going to have 2 jobs, I am going to be tutoring and then being a night bouncer. When am I going to sleep? probably never but that is ok. It is worth it. Legit life is feels so good now.. god sometimes I feel the air and feel so great because I remember when I missed it and why I made the stupid choices I did and why people did things to me that hurt me to the point that I had no choice but to actually kill myself. twice now. I have been legally dead twice, but hell I came back. So point of this journal entry... look across the way from where you are. See the word LIFE.. and you know what you do.. you flick it off and say *BLEEP* YOU, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME QUIT.. EVER!!++ on a side note, this has garnered more than 30 responses so far in my livejournal. So yeah ^^ please understand I am not trying to trounce on any other country nor spill that the USA is perfect, the basic idea is this is how can someone say something is bad if they have never tried it?
  20. People change over the years and you have to expect that. It just happens and you can't really expect them to stay the same even if they are your friends. If you don't like who they are now, there are really only 2 ways to fix that. Tell them or leave them and say hey thanks for being my friends.
  21. These come very much handy when you are taking precalculus and calculus for various reasons. I am not entirely sure why they work out that way, but they allow scientists to understand wavelengths and the like.
  22. Um so we can talk about anything we learned but does it have to be computer related because it seems to be in the technology and internet forums space. Or can it be like the fact that I learned yesterday that the United States is one of very few Capitolistic countries and stuff like that?
  23. Where do we go to play this online game?
  24. I have Netscape internet connection and so honestly if you are a dial up person. Then it truly doesn't matter.
