Anim8or Freeware almost as powerful as 3DMax
Joer replied to Joer's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yes, I think what pilgrim_of_the_mini_monkeys says is right. The fact that Anim8or does not handle popular 3D formats is perhaps one of its major flaws. Of course there are lots of conversion software that may help overcome this problem. Now, as a 3D learning tool is definitely great. You don't spend large sums of money and you can get quite familiarized with 3D very easily. In the last 6 months or so that I have been using it, I have undrstood a lot of features of GMax. Before using Anim8or I didn't understand anything at all.If you try it, it would be great to hear your opinion.Regards,Joe -
What Is The Internet Oracle? Cyber Humor Community
Joer replied to Joer's topic in General Discussion
Well, I am not sure I understand all your questions. But I'll try to answer. I joined this community several years ago. What you get from the community is humor in your mail. That's it. There is no direct interaction among its members. If you go to the site you will only find archieves and a registration form for the "newsletter." Browsing the archives is worth it if you have time enough. I do prefer to read the "newsletter" once or twice a month with the best replied questions. You are also given a form to "grade" each question and its reply if you wish to do so. That helps the priests decide what the crowd is looking for. As of our level of knowledge, I am not sure what you meant by that. Give it a try. It's completely free. No spyware, no bugs, quite straightforward, and to me, really really funny. If you don't like it you can always unregister. And you will probably give us your point of view. Remember "laughter is the best medicine." Regards, Joe -

Thank you both for taking your time to reply, Hey, biscuitrat. Thank you very much for your feedback. 7...huh? I will work on the text. As you say...it is a little blurry. As of the border, ...hmm... You know? Your being direct and honest has made me reconsider my whole project. Thank you very much. I will post in hope I can have your opinion, again... So, I think I will start another border... Thanks to you too, goldinero, As you could read above... I will have the chance to implement some of your ideas. Thank you very much. Joe -
Unstable Emotional Life Is it me or maybe none understand me?
Joer replied to sonorama's topic in Dating And Relationships
Hey sonorama, Your post is quite interesting for me. It reminds me of myself when I was young(er) je je Here are a couple of thoughts. This is definetly true. Some have even concluded that men and women are from different planets. And definetly girls and boys look for different things in their lives, not only in their expectations related to the opposite sex. I definitely agree. The younger you are the fastest you want to get what you seek. And the less likely to really enjoy profound reflection on any matter, not only romantic stuff. I don't think I agree with this completely, particularily if it is arithmetically inferred from your age. I mean, it's true that if you are mature you are better prepared to "deal with problems in a long term relationship." However, there are people that are quite mature at 18. And people that are quite immature at 50. Besides, I can tell you that there are both mature and immature girls and boys both looking for long or short term relationships. Now, no matter how experienced a person is, understanding the other sex is always difficult. Increasingly harder depending on how long lasting your terms are. That is: if you are only into getting some sex for a weekend, understanding the other sex is relatively easy and minimally important because only superficial understanding is required. If you want to have kids with someone it is much more difficult and extremely important, because you will be dealing with very profound and sometimes hidden factors. This is probably why most younger people prefer short term relationships. Well, no. It does not seem simple. It IS as simple as that. You may be mature enough but you are simply not interested whatsoever. That is it. IMHO you do not have reason to feel uncomfortable with this. You are not wrong or right. You are only trying to be yourself and I think this is more important than having sex or not, or a long term relationship or not. If one day you feel like having a long term relationship, it is not going to be because you are a boy or a girl. Nor because you are either mature or immature. It is going to be because you ARE the right person for that particular girl that makes you feel you want that kind of relationship. If you are prepared or not is matter of a different discussion. Power Persuasion How to use hypnosis to get your way...
Joer replied to Pdrive's topic in General Discussion
Hey Pdrive,So far I have not gotten any kind of communication from the course. I am wondering if I misunderstood anything when I registered. Of course I got a confirmation mail and a confirmation to my reply, but other than that... You can probably explain this. I hope However, I have been browsing the site and reading a lot of very insightful texts.I know most of NLP is modelling. But IMHO that does not make it any easier. On the contrary. I think the biggest challenge is to master self-control. When you control yourself it becomes easy to model exactly what you want. Otherwise, it becomes a mess and you will not see any results. I think that is the reason why many people just drop it out, thinking it is a scam. Thanks again. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.Joe -
Well, I know Xisto doesn't need more advertising, but this is what I am going to put in my website. I just wanted to share it with all of you. It's quite simple. Please let me know what you think. Hosted by xs.to Joe Mexico

A Possible Problem With Ftp And Filezilla Speed limits...(no joke)
Joer replied to Joer's topic in Web Hosting Support
Hi RGPHNX,Thanks for the reply, I will download and test Win MTR. I might get better up/downloads.What was really strange is that nothing worked until I limited the speed in Filezilla. I did several pings before that an I got an average of 236ns. No loss. I set it to use "No Proxy." And I always use "Quick Connect" (That's because I have no idea whatsoever of what I am doing.) So, any light shed will be very much appreciated.Kind regards,JoeMexico -

You probably already know. But for those who don't. The STS 114 is the next launch of the Space Shittle Discovery. It will be the first after the accident of Columbia. Oh, well. It is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:39 AM EDT. If you are interested in watching it in the internet visit: NASA TV or (I haven't tested this, but I've got word that it can be a good alternative to the crowded NASA TV) United Space Alliance I hope they make it this time. I just want to share this with everyone using Filezilla. It may help some of the people complaining about not being able to connect to the FTP server to upload/download their files. As soon as I got hosted I tried to connect to the server. I went up and down and it didn't seem to be available. I played with the settings of Filezilla, ya know, firewall, proxies etc.Late at night, BuffaloHelp tried to help me at my own request. He suggested that being connected on a 56K modem, the connection might be so slow that the server could be interpreting it as a log off.I don't understand much of these things. But I anyway set it up to a steady connection speed limit of 6KB/s and 7KB/s for down and uploads respectively. And Voila!!! The connection was immediate.I hope this helps some of the people that are having trouble. If anyone could throw more light on this, I would be very grateful.Kind regards,JoeM?xico

Relationship Advice Needed Possible Relationship Problems
Joer replied to Zaccid's topic in Dating And Relationships
It seems to me that you are in a situation where you do not know what you want. What do you expect from John? If you are looking for a serious, long lasting relationship, you better look for someone who can offer that to you. John obviously can't.If what you want is just to have fun, as both John and his girlfriend seem to be into, then there is no problem in going out with him or even both of them!!!The truth is in your heart, just look it up. First make a decision within and about yourself. That's the hard part. The rest is a piece of cake.Regards -

I had created several web sites with free hosting before. But, I don't know why this time I feel somethhing I had never felt. Let me explain. As I am sure many other people have, I came here looking for a good hosting service after experiencing all sorts of problems, pop ups, spyware, and many others you may know. When I read that the only condition was to post, I thought it was great. Posting is one of my favorite hobbies. In all honesty, some of the posts I wrote had only the intention to get credit . But for some reason, writing the others, (I guess anyone could easily identify them,) was a delicious process. I guess the fact that I would get rewarded made the difference. Never had I enjoyed writing a post before. After having reached the quota requested for hosting approval, I requested it. But it wasn't approved immediately, it took some days. Now that I look back at it, they weren't that many days. But meanwhile, I was becoming very nervous about it. I lost the count of every hour that went by. Last night I wasn't even able to sleep well. This morning I woke up , and I decided to leave it aside for today. I was going to do something different, whatever, or else I was going to get sick. But after a couple of hours I decided to chech my email. I couldn't believe my eyes!!! The mail wAS THERE!!! APPROVED!!! I FEEL I WANT TO SHOUT!!!! UPS!! sorry... It's this feeling of self-achievement. This feeling of...oh, I don't know. Thank you very much. Joe Mexico

I have to start saying that I am not American. I can say that I have always admired America, however. I have studied its history and its culture. As an English Language teacher I am an active promoter of the American traditions, values and way of life. And IMHO, what America has become from about the moment they exploded the first atomic bomb to the present, is everytime further, and further away from what Jefferson, Washington, Lincoln and many like them dreamed it was its fate.America was originally conceived as the Light of the World, the Land of Liberty. And, although it has become more evident from the 1990's its course has drifted away from it since 1945.I think the two wars America has started in the XXI century are the biggest mistake in its history. Not only for the evidently manipulated way they have been justified, which has led to a dramatic decrease in American reputation, and thus its leadership around the world. But also, and most importantly because they have impacted on the core root of its being America: Its own LIBERTY.Its reputation has decreased to the point that everything America may do in the future will be stained by the way the oil factor was hidden behind a smoke curtain that no one believes anymore. Stained by the fact that many more innocent people were slaughtered than those who were "saved" from a dictator who had been empowered and promoted by America with the same arguments, not long before. Stained by the fact that those weapons were built and exported from America in the name of freedom. But the worse is happening in American territory and, even worse, to American people. No longer can they feel safe walking the streets of their magnificent cities. No longer can they feel free to do many things out of the everyday stricter control of their movements. No longer can they feel safe to wander the world nor open their gates to the world as it originally had to be. America is now in a process of slooow isolation. Under restraints that only themselves are imposing due to a low intensity fear that increases irremediably. To the point that they are not even free to pull out of Iraq if they wanted. And not because Iraq is in turnmoil, but because if they did, they would become more vulnerable. No! America should not pull out of Iraq. America should back out and free its people and the rest of the world, before it gets too late.I pray for America. I pray so their leaders are enlightened to stop this war. I pray to God that their people open their eyes and not let themselves be manipulated. America has the light. It has the power. It only needs the will to recover the path.God Bless AmericaJoeMexico

The Internet Oracle is a graet community of humor creators in the web. As stated in its website, its origin can be traced back to Harvard Science Center in 1975-76. After several changes, it was finally renamed and registered as it is known today, in 1996. It works quite simply. Users post their questions to the Oracle, familiarily known as "Orrie." There is a group of "priests" who provide all the necessary administration so other users are given the chance to respond with their best sense of humor. If you want to post a question you would have to respond one as the payment. The result is generally great multicultural humor and a wide variety of points of view. Some responses may seem profound, others may be, plainly ridiulous. But most of them are really hilarious. This is just a sample that you can find in It's Ominicent website Or if you register you can get them by email. The Internet Oracle I hope it is not too long. Enjoy Regards, Joe Mexico

Another London Bombing Similar to the bombings that killed 56
Joer replied to canpolitics's topic in General Discussion
Well, I do not support terrorists, but I do not support them from either side. Killing innocent people cannot be justified in any manner, without regards of how convenient it might be to support our or their position. For me, both, killing innocent people with intelligent bombs (XXI) or with brain washed-mohaidins (XIV) are terrorism with a different degree of technological sofistication.Neither "You reap what you sow" nor "Karmha" are equivalent with the Law of Talion's. Think about that.God bless the attackers' families and countries on both sides, for they are innocent.Joe -
"I hate smokers." To hate affects the subjetc more than the object. You shouldn't hate. It will harm you more than second hand smoking.Smokng is definetely a bad habit. But smokers shouldn't be considered bad people. As it is with any other addiction. It is a disease. It is the same with drinking, drugs (of any kind, legal or not.) Chocolate, coffee, coca-cola, TV, and the internet. All addicts of any kind, should be helped...not stigmatized. And less than anything: hated. On the other hand. I agree many addicts of different sorts behave in an annoying manner. Poor of us. We can't see that annoying others is not going to help anything. If we don't respect others, they will not respect us.There are many things that annoy and affect people. The smoke of factories and cars pollute my lungs more than my cigarrettes. The fact that some countries in the world pollute and contribute to global warming more than others affects my present and future life. Even those that play their music really high affect my health. But I don't hate any of them. And I am not calling them names.I do insist that they change their behavior, Yes. But I do not stigmatize them at all. Because, I try to understand that there are reasons for them to behave like that. Not only that they are bad.I honestly think that if all the people tried a little bit harder to put themseves in the other's shoes, we all would be better able to fix all the things that annoy everyone. We would live in a better world.Kind regards,JoePS. BTW. I am a very heavy smoker, and I have tried to quit many, many times. If anyone has a good idea that would help me quit, I will really appreciate it.

Harry Potter 7 Theories Sorry to bombard everyone with HP btw.
Joer replied to wakelim's topic in General Discussion
I don't think the final battle will happen in this sixth book. But I agree it has to be in Howarts. One of the most intriguing hidden facts for me, in all this Harry Poter story is the ultimate connection between "you know who" and Harry himself. I have even thought that if Voldemort cannot destroy him, he won't be able to destroy Voldemort. I dunno.A very innovative ending will have to be that of the seventh book. (They'll be seven, won't they?) In which this matter, as well as that old secret of his aunt's, (why does she keep him there? Why is her home the safest place for him? I dunno either;) will have to be resolved. Again, I don't think they will in this book. But I will enthusiastically read it. Joe -
Power Persuasion How to use hypnosis to get your way...
Joer replied to Pdrive's topic in General Discussion
This is a great article. Congrats!!!I would like to say that I use some of these techniques everyday. I am a language teacher and I have received some of them in trainning. Basically to induce relaxation. And they do work most of the times. Now, ever since I learned about NLP, I have been searching for more and more to read. There are several resources in the web, and courses out there , (although at very high prices...unaffordable for me.) Can you recommend any free resources in the internet, specially if they are related to education?I will be looking forward to reading more from you. Thank you very much.Regards,JoeMexico -
So? Is it illegal? Or in any case, is the topic banned from this forum? I might assumme that if it hasn't been closed, it is not banned? Is it frowned at? Gee, I don't want to infringe anything around. Would you mind confirming, Buffalohelp? I have a couple of questions about it. Joe

WOW!!!This is a great tip. I just did it last night and it works. Now I am wondering if I will eventually miss any functionality of Acrobat Reader. Can anyone say what these plugins are for? And if it is possible to activate them from inside the interface, (I mean without moving the files back into their original folder,) just in case I need one of them? Thanks a lotJoe
