Hi everyone, In all honesty, in relation to 3D I can only describe myself as a newbie, I started learning how to design addons for Orbiter Space Flight Simulator and MS Flight Simulator about a year or so ago, in Gmax. Which, as its bigger brother 3DMax, resulted quite hard to learn. It was about 6 months ago that someone recommended that I try Anim8tor. Written by R. Steven Glanville who writes in his web site: However, many people in the computer simulation community have told me that "it is almost as powerful as 3DMax." Anyway, It has turned out to be an excelent tool for me, not only to design my addons more easily, but also to learn the basic concepts of 3D design which can eventualy make my life easier with GMax or 3DMax. And the best thing about it...it is freeware. Just Google up the word anim8tor and you'll find it. If you are a newbie like myself, I am sure you will find it very useful to learn the ropes and produce great 3D designs at the same time. If you are an expert you may probably give us a better qualified point of view. Joe Mexico Notice from Cragllo: Added Quote tags

MS Flight Simulator is one of the best you will find. The best freeware addons (planes of all kinds, scenery, utilities, etc.) can be downloaded at avsim and simaviation. You know, just add the "dot com" to these names in your address bar.The first one is a favorite among Flight simmers. They require a registration and the downloads are password protected. But it's free. They also offer reviews of addons both free or payware, and links to other resources. If you want to become serious about MSFS you ahould get a membership. The second one is completely open. No registration or passwords. They have also gathered a good crowd that share their ideas, add ons, pilot talk, etc. Just as avsim but without its reputation. For those who do not have a state of the art computer to take full advantage of FS2K4, but would like to really feel what flying any kind of aircraft is like: Try FS2K2. Most of the graphics are as good as those of FS2K4. The installation program gives you an option for a compact install. And you do not need a disk in your CD ROM drive as FS2k4. In fact I haven't quit using FS2k2 because its graphics quality is almost the same as FS2k4, but there are much more quality freeware add ons for it than for the latest version. It doesn't swallow your computer resources. And... ...my computer is not as new as I would like. Now, if you prefer war operations (shooting and bombing,) you should try MS Combat Flight Simulator III. I have never used it because I am not very well fond of wars. But I have heard its quality is at least as good as FS2k2.It's true that you need to make some effort when it comes to simulators. This one will require a basic knowledge of aerodynamics. But the name of the game is still FUN!!! Once you get to fly the Cessna 182 properly, (there are tutorials and virtual lessons within the simulator itself,) you may join all kinds of multiplayer virtual flying communities. CIA operations, NASA, airlines, charters...you name it. You can break the sound barrier on a Mig23 or F18, or (like me ,)a NASA T-38 Talon. Or, like I sometimes do... ... fly a piper cub slowly and really low to admire the landscapes, beaches, etc.If any of you want to try one of these simulators and need help, let me know, I will be glad to help out. (for free of course) Best regards,Joe RMexico

The "cyber" Thing Relationships on the Net
Joer replied to Becca's topic in Dating And Relationships
I have seen this topic in many other forums. And I can read the same comments all over. Open your eyes, guys!!!FYI I am a 43 year old man. I love women and I love sex. I have habitated the cyberworld since 1982 or so. I have had hundreds of cybergirlfriends, (and real girlfriends, too ) But I am not only looking for "..." as someone said above. I can have all of that I want. I am basically looking for human interaction. It has just sometimes happened that, once I met someone on-line (a girl in my case,) I have started feeling fond of chatting with her. You may call it love or not, but with such intensity, to the point of not going out one night only because I am looking forward to "talk" to that person. It has also happened to me that I sometimes go to a specific bar or night club, only because I know that someone I want to talk with wiil be there. In both or either cases, I have ended up in "physical relationships" or not. All I know is that I have felt fond of interacting with that somone in particular at that particular moment.I have met some of my best real-world friends on-line. I have had "physical interaction" with some of them. With some others I have never even thought about it, and they are all and still some of my best real and/or cyber-world friends. Some of them are men with whom I play chess or tennis with on weekends, some of them are girls with whom I still keep a "physical relationship" with some frequency or not. Some of them... ...I will never meet in the real world. Go figure!!! They live in China!!!I have fallen in love with women in a bar, at school, in a chat room, on the subway!!! Some of them have ended up in bed with me and never seen them again. Some of them have never even kissed me and they still keep in touch. Or viceversa. And yes I have cyber-dated "Nancy" who ended up being "Bob" in the real world. . I fortunately do not keep in touch with him!!! LOL In conclusion. Cyber IMHO is not an obstacle to human feelings and interaction. No matter what you call it. Whether physical or spiritual. People are people in cyberspace and everywhere else. They laugh. They lie, they hope, they have different ideas, they get angry, hungry or fall in love. They fight, they make love or sex, they play, they agree...or not They are people FGS! (We, I meant to say.) It happens in the cyber-world, at the supermarket, on the TV, the phone, across the park. In English, Spanish, Japanese or Braille. So, free yourselves! Let your feelings flow! And share them! If you don't want to date or cyber-date someone...do not. If you do...well, DO!!! If you feel better interacting in a forum like this...well, it's great with me. Just do not stop feeling. Intensely, and sharing those feelings with someone you prefer. It doesn't matter how, even by postal mail. Else you will bitter your life up.Kind regards.Joe -

Hi all simulator lovers.I am here because it is my intention to share all the unforgettable experiences I have had with one of the best simulators I have run into in my life. That is "Orbiter Space Flight Simulator" I cannot post links here, but a fast search will lead you to this magnificent master piece of software by Dr. Martin Schweiger. Which, besides all the superb graphics, and realistic orbital mechanics simulation, is FREEWARE!!! Orbiter has been available since the year 2000. It has created a quite impressive community along the years. From plain forums of fans, developers and frustrated astronauts, ( like myself,) to Virtual Space Agencies and Interplanetary Confederations.I will not hide my intention of getting web hosting to share all my experiences. Which include, of course. STS flight Misions for the best Virtual Space Agency in the web: SimNASA. Spacewalks at our Skylab Columbia Space Station. A trip to the moon and recreations of historical flights of the Apolo program. And other, not so realistic adventures to Jupiter on the USS Enterprise.Best regards,Joe R.Mexico
