It really depends on what type of CPU you are using. If you are using an AMD CPU, which most gamers use, Elitegroup's motherboards should be quite good enough. However, if you're getting Intel or Pentium CPU, you should also get an Intel motherboard.I am presently using an AMD CPU so I use the Elitegroup Motherboard. However, choosing motherboards not only soley depend on the CPU, there are lots of stuff, such as PCI slots, AGP slots, front bus speeds, RAM slots and so on.

Talk about world population, I think we should start reducing the world population. Its really too much, 5 billion people living on a single rock...omg...we should start exterminating some 2 billion people. What do you mean by little things? Well, I did feel very happy when I sucessfully added a shoutbox in my forum: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Yeah, and I don't even know nutz about PHP programming. I wonder how I acctually pull it through sucessfully....all the tales of ruining the forum scared me and I was on my toes the whole time. Notepad is fine. But you need to have a compiler for Java applets. Also, for Javascript, you have to embed it into a HTML file. Java Scripts aren't standalone webpages.Java scripts are usually placed between the <head></head> tags. Javascript is very powerful and can some of the vital stuff PHP can do. If you are keen on learning programming, Javascript is your first stop. By the way, in Javascript, you don't need an external compiler. You just need to save your file as a .html file and run it in IE.-Shackman

Linux is probally mroe for servers. Its good for servers cause it is lesser vunerable to viruses, increasing stability and it takes up way lesser system resources than Windows.Linux would be my server choice anytime, any where.

You could make a whole new section where first you could put Lounge, then second you could put maybe something like Movies and next you may want to have Games and possibly Current Affairs. The section name can be lets say, 'General'? so it goes like this: ----------------------------------- General The Lounge xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Movies xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Games xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Current Affairs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------ Whereby 'x' is the topic description. Thanks alot for the info. The only thing I find strange is that why do we take so long to recieve movies via internet and why do TV signals transfer the data like a flash? I wonder if this could be incoporated into computer/internet so we don't have to wait too long for a movie download.Another thing I would like to know is that what type of quality will I recieve as compared to the TV? Will the quality be better or worst? Do TV tuner cards allow you to have Dolby Surround? (assuming that I have the proper hardware and the TV program is in Dolby surround)Thanks-Shackman

Hmm...just a small suggestion over here.Maybe we should have a lounge where we can all talk and communicate. The lounge can be a place to discuss current, social and global issuses also. Personally I like America's Army, Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic and Counter-Strike. A classic I like is Quest for Glory 5.Yea, these 4 games are really nice.

I don't even know if I would go for dating online. I would prefer to get to know someone face to face. Its better that way. Dating online is interesting but because of the annoymos identity, what you know about the person may not be true.Thus, you may get disappointed when you meet him/her face to face.I hate those type of disappointment.That's why I prefer to meet someone face to face.

I don't know if this is allowed in the forum, because its Chinese orientated. But never the less, let me make this post.Do anyone of you read Chinese Swordplay Novels? I find them very interesting. Some titles are Legend of the Condor Heroes(She Diao Ying Xiong Juan), Return of the Condor Heroes(Shen Diao Xia Lu) and Duke of Mount Deer. All there are written by Mr. Jin Yong, though there are other authors as well but Mr. Jin Yong is one of the most famed ones.There are many other titles but as they are in Chinese and its quite hard to give an exact translation of its name, e.g (Xiao Au Jiang Hu) and so on. But since this is an English forum, I won't write any Chinese characters. Just to repeat my question, anyone reads Chinese Swordplay Novels? If so, we could share an interesting discussion about it.My favourite is Return of the Condor Heroes. What about you guys? If you guys want, I can post a short synopsis about Return of The Condor Heroes here.

I read an article about Tv Tuner Cards in Singapore, Computer Times.It was a very brief article but it sparked my interest. However, there is one point which I don't understand. It said sometihng about needing to have at least an 80 GB hard disk. Does the TV programs stream or do yuo have to download it? Can someone give me more information?
