Has anyone tried Lindows?
-
I'd say alienware would be a good choice if you're looking for a powerful pc. But if you're looking for a really powerful computer, then i suggest buying a custom made mac. The macs i've seen can own any pc anyday. But it really comes down to what you're gonna be using the computer for. If you're gonna be using it for games, then i suggest alienware. Everything else go with a mac.

[::kubi::] Vs [::phyre::] 1v1 Comic
truefusion replied to Kubi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Vote in favor of KuBi (4:1).Twas a tough decision, both look very good. But, i must say, although the text phyre used is the text that's used in the spiderman movie, the bevel and emboss kinda killed it. And phyre's sig has big "holes" in it.As for kubi, nice choice of font, and good decision on adding a tech border. -
My Newest Sig its abstract, i think

Wow, very good. But the pink and the orange doesnt seem to go well. Other than that, very nice. -
Since you are including a file found in another folder, different where the index.php file is, you're gonna have to change the images path in menu.htm from whatever it is and add "../" to the begining. Since index.php is in folder "folder2", and in menu.htm says the images are in the images folder, and the menu.htm is being included in index.php, php thinks that you are trying to load images founded in "folder2/images/". I hope this make sense to you.

Welp, i can tell you why it doesnt work the way you want it to. Reason being, it's impossible to multiply <script>document.write(screen.width); </script> by any number. $width has to equal an integer in order for it to be multiplied, or whatever.

Haha, that's what i do. I've been doing this for a few years now, and i've learned more stuff than what my friends that went to college learned. Plus, some classes have outdated programs and books. -
Upgraded Internet Speed From 576 Kbps to 2.2 Mbps

That doesnt seem like something an isp would do, especially without letting you know first. Hope the bill doesnt increase. -
Help Starting Php? I dont understand how to begin...

Have you tried uploading it to the folder "public_html"? Or is it that where you've uploaded it? If so, try "echo", instead of "print". -

Render looks a bit choppy, dont you think? -
If you end a process that windows needs to keep running, and then you restart your computer, i dont see how it'll be 100% on start up. Cause, supposedly this "virus" just got restarted, and it's in the processes again. Ending process is different than deleting them. And if it's a smart virus, it'll probably be hiding in another process that windows actually uses.

IE, does not fail to support web standards. Like i've mentioned before, every browser supports every html/css code founded at W3C. And every browser makes their own coding as well (which many people find useful, aside from the basics). If you use these new coding, your code will appear invalid when validating. I myself would prefer HTML and CSS to be a server-side include. NOT a browser feature. This way, all will be the same all basic. I agree with that IE was late on updates for security. And then, finally, SP2 came out. But, what people dont understand is that there are other ways of protecting yourself than letting your browser do it for you. Just cause your browsing is protecting you, doesnt mean you're fully protected. I'm an IE user, and i have no spyware on my computer (at least to the knowledge of the programs that i have protecting me). To add on to that, new spyware are created every so often, that no program can garuntee 100% security from spyware. And as for the ones tell us "other browser" users to convert to another browser. Saying that we need to doesnt help much. Tell us why, or suggest at least trying out the program. I am still an IE fan. I've tried Firefox, and it just wasnt for me. I'd tell you reasons why i sticked with IE, but that'll be maybe for another post.

Only way it'll invalidate if you decide to use the ones where i mention that it may only work for internet explorer. And websites isnt all about validating html/css. People dont visit one's website just to validate their html/css. Plus, every browser follows the standards of html, and add their own. I dont really mention the ones for the other browsers cause i find the ones for IE more useful, and there are more of them. I think i know why this happens, and my guess is cause since firefox is from mozilla, it sends 2 values to my script. One being "Mozilla", and the other being "Firefox". I'll add an else if to try and fix that problem.

Help Starting Php? I dont understand how to begin...
truefusion replied to Dart-kun's topic in Programming
If you wanna learn, you can go to http://www.w3schools.com/ they have good tutorials on php, and other programming languages. I tend to go to http://www.phpfreaks.com/ for additional help, by posting in their forums, or doing searches on what i need help on. If you mean by creating a php document in the file manager, just create a text document and end it with ".php" (without quotes). Hope this helps. -
Screenshots, yes i have consider doing that, but it's kinda hard to work with photoshop when you've got a crappy computer. Major ram killer. Have to restart to regain my ram back, so i can continue working. As for html not validating correctly, i dont care much for that, as long as you can see what i want you to see, it's fine by me. As for the basic tutorials, i am working on some advanced tutorials, hopefully covering almost everything about the subject. But you have to know the basics before going into advanced work. For everything else, i'll consider changing the links, so it doesnt appear onclick, for the firefox version. I cant test out everything for the firefox version, cause i dont have firefox installed, anymore. So all testing is based on how i look over the coding (fixed banner problem, btw). Thanks for your help.

Setting The Height Of A Tablerow Its variable so I want to use
truefusion replied to sachavdk's topic in Programming
You sure this a JS problem? Try this: <table height="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td height="##" colspan="2">HEAD CELL</td></tr><tr><td valign="top" width="##">CONTENT LISTING CELL</td><td valign="top">MAIN CONTENT CELL</td></tr></table>Replace ## with your desired number. This should do what you want. Unless i've misread what you've stated.
