Hooked On Sigs Come to join the gfx community from asta
truefusion replied to Reaver's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Polygonal lasso tool + layer masking, and motion blurring are just a couple of ways to blend an image. Other ways are using layer modes, color balance, brushing over the render, and whatnot. Usually, when i take the easy way out (basically blurring), i try to use more than 2 layers and use a combination of layer modes, sometimes color, and other stuff. For example, if i were to make a pixel stretch sig, i would use motion blur on the render (after duplicating it) so it would seem like the render is merging with the pixel stretch. When i'm using gaussian blur i duplicate the render layer 3 times, first duplicated layer i blur 1px, 2nd duplicate i blur 3px, and 3rd duplicate i blur 5px. The original layer i move on top of the duplicates. This makes the edges seem smooth, and not rough. Hope this info helps you, and others. -
This layout is very nice, especially for PSP7. But the banner is way too tall. It'd be funny if the banner is bigger than the content on the site.

This brings me back to di and dice. But, yes the correct plural way of mouse is mice.

Wow, that's only six days of work, eh? Heh, you must be addicted... Like the rest of us . But i must say those are some pretty decent sigs you have here. Usually i'm not interested in tech borders, but the ones with tech borders are actually pretty good. What i see that you need some improvement on is blending of the render. You seem to go the easy way out by motion blurring them. And that doesnt really work for most of them. My favorite one would have to be the one with the orange and black tech borders. -
You can find out what your root directory is in your cpanel under general server information.

I'm trying to set a new value for browscap, the path of browscap.ini, using the ini_set function, but it seems like ini_set isnt working. Is there any other way of modifying the value for browscap?

You say you wanted to make a content managing system on your own, and yet you're using this program. That doesn't make sense. Also, If you actually did know the basics you'd be able to make a site from scratch. Then when you have increased your knowledge in programming, you might be able to make your own CMS.

You can still keep the light on the render, but there are a lot of black spots on the sides which could use more contrast. Also, there are a few metalic objects on the render which the light could be reflecting off of. His right shoulder seems to be the main point of the light. Skin cant reflect light like metal can.

The text is hard to see, i would have duplicated the text layer a bit till it's more visible. Also, there's too much light in the middle, and not spreaded out.

Um, you may wanna try fixing up your HTML coding. It's all totally whack. I dont know how Internet Explorer was able to figure out what you want, but i had trouble. I removed the Table Header tag, and placed in some Table Data tags. I've also moved some other tags where they belonged. Try This: echo '<br><table border="0" width="871" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><strong>Artists beginning with' .$alphaletter. '</strong></font><table border="1" width="250" align="left"><tr><td align="left">Artist</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>';

I'm not sure of this, since i dont have multiple accounts on this computer, but usually these things ask for your old password when trying to change your current password. Unless, you've given your current password away to the other "admin", you shouldnt really have to worry all that much about someone messing around with your settings. But, i could be wrong.

Strange Thing I Saw Anyone know what it could be?
truefusion replied to FuChelle's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, interesting story. But it's kinda hard to tell what you've experienced. There have been experiences where ghosts are in a form of a floating light, but i dont remember seeing something about one appearing in real life, but only in pictures. And usually ghosts arent really all that willing to show themselves to others that easily. Also, you say your heart skipped a beat. Kinda hard to keep track of your heart beats, unless your heart is beating hard enough to feel it. You've must've been pretty scared or something for you to feel something like that. My only explanation for this is, you probably did fall asleep, dreamed it, and on the part where you say you opened your eyes, that was you waking up. -
Step By Step Siggy.... help me pls
truefusion replied to Moody's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I'd make a new layer, then brush some white on the black areas and then change the layer mode to overlay. Some parts look a bit too blury. I'd sharpen them a bit. Then i'd add a new adjustment layer: levels, to try and add more depth. Then i'd worry about what render to use, or just go straight to color. -
The sasuke one, imo, is the best out of them all. But, it could use more depth, so can most of these sigs. Some have pixelated renders. Most of these could use a more prominent border. The text in all could also be fancier.

Huge Python Dies Trying To Eat A 6ft Alligator crazy
truefusion replied to atomicnacho's topic in General Discussion
Apparently, the everglades has been gaining a large amount of pythons. Some people think it's cause of a lot of people releasing their pet snakes into the wild. But, since alligators are territorial, a war has kinda broken out between the two. There have been cases where the alligators have won the battles. But, in this case it seems that the snake put up a good fight, and some suspect that the alligator might have been weakened before it met the python. But, either way, the snake bit off more than it could chew. -
What this sig can use is more depth. Add some dropshadows to some of the tech designs.

Ah, yes, i've had this problem many times as well. It's annoying and time consuming when you explain something to them and even give them screenshots of every single process and they still dont get it. But, what bothers me the most is when someone recommends you to someone else, then that person starts bothering you with their problem. Usually i just tell them, "i havent had any experience with your problem, so i can't help you." I believe, that people dont poke around cause they're either lazy or they think they're gonna mess up their computer even more.

Eh, I wouldn't consider trixx a master at making sigs. Trixx is ok at making sigs.
-
Almost done, just i'm not sure what name you want on it, or what other text you want on it.
-
Wow, looks like you have a major problem on your hands. Just what did you do for this to happen? Not sure if a system restore would help, but you may want to try that. Or if you have a rescue disk, maybe? Or just plain old reformatting, if need be.

Sig After A Long Time! this time a car sig
truefusion replied to mayank's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
The car render could be better blended, and would be better in a different color, compatible to the background. The text could use some work also. The font used on "speed", that doesnt really have much to do with speed.
