Trap17 doesn't control what ads are places on the site. When you click a new thread, there are keywords ad placers look for. Then they're put the most relevent adson the site. We have no control over it.

To avoid to much competition and frustration between the people doing this lets set up some rules..You must complete BOTH the button AND banner, it's only fair for those who did both.If he doesn't like your creations, oh well, don't argue.First come first serve, you post first, you get the points if your request is liked. No complaining if you're the second submision and don't get chosen.Once the request is filled the thread shall be closed.

Can't you just go into your FTP client(SmartFTP hopefully) and just delete the whole /forum directory itself? That's what logic tells me, I'm not sure, maybe get a second opinion first.

Warning! This is PART 2 of the Affiliate Button Tutorial, you must read part 1 before doing this one! Ok, remember in the last tutorial, we created this nice looking button; Well now we're going to animate it! Difficulty: Medium Time: ~10 Minutes You will need: ImageReady, Photoshop, the .PSD for the last button we created. And an understanding of where things are located in ImageReady. Lets get started. Step1: Open up your .PSD file in Photoshop, we need to take out the text blending. Once open, delete ALL layer blendings for the text. Step2: Move the text layer above the color balance layer, but still under the border layer. Set AA(anti-alias) to "None". This will get rid of any blurryness. Make sure your text is either White, or Black. Step3: Create a new layer ABOVE the text layer. I added a red color gradient to this layer, just for looks(it doesn't really matter if anything is in there). Step4: Press Ctrl+I on the new layer to invert it. Press Ctrl+G, an arrow will appear, pointing down twords the text layer, and it'll be underlined. Step5: Press Ctrl+Shift+M to move the image over to ImageReady for animation. Once in image ready you'll notice a couple new boxed. One will be the "Animation Pallete", this is where your slides are located, this is all we're need to be working with, besides the layer pallete. Now that you're in image ready, click the text layer, make sure your pointer tool is selected, as we'll be moving the text. Step6: Currently, the text should be located in the exact middle of the image. Move the text off the the left side of the image, so it's not visible. Step7: Now that your text isn't visible(yet still there), we need to make a new layer. Find the arrow in the animation pallete, click it, and find "New Layer", then click that. You'll notice another layer appear in the animation pallete, no text, good. Step8: Click the second layer in the animation pallete, make sure your still on your text layer with the pointer in hand, and move the text ALL the way over to the other side of the image, yet again, so it's not visible. Step8: Now that you have 2 layers, one where the text is off the image to the left, and one where the text is off the image to the right, we need to tween this image. Now that you have done that, the animation is complete, but it's going to fast, now isn't it? So lets instert a little "Break" in there, as I like to call it. Look for the layer that has the text located in the middle of the image, in this case, if you used 30 layers, it would be located in frame 16. Select frame 16 and click the little arrow, the text next to it says "0 sec", once you click the arrow, set it to 1 second. This will make the text stop in the middle for 1 second, and then continue off. Now you're done. All that's left is to "Save Optimised as" (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S) My final Results: There are many other things you can do with animation, but this is just a simple effect for beginners. Ok, in this tutorial we're going to create an affiliate button. It's very easy! Difficulty: Easy Completion time ~10 minutes Required things: Photoshop, good brushes, pixel font, a brain. Ok lets get started! Step1: Open a new image, most Buttons are 88x31. So use that size. Step2: Now we need to add a black ground. Simply; Shift+F5. Now duplicate your background layer(the black one). This will be the brushing layer. Step3: Grab a brush and brush, alternate brushes, you should only need to do a few clicks since the size is so small. MAKE SURE YOU'RE BRUSHING WHITE, THEN BLACK! ALTERNATE! You should have something like this by now; depending on your brushes everyone will get something different. Step4: Adding color/Contrast. Click the "yin/yang" button by your layers, and click "Brightnes/Contrast". Add about 30 contrast and click "ok". This will give your image some more depth. Step5: Now lets add some color. Make sure your Contrast layer is selected. Go back to the "yin/yang" symbol, click it, and go to "Color Balance". Mess around with the sliders EXEPT for highlights. You should now have something like this, depending on the colors you used. I use; Shadows: +37, +49, and -12. Midtones: +36, +15, and -35. You should now have something like this; Step6: Now you need a border. Create a new layer, and select all. Now go to Edit > Stoke > 1px BLACK. Now you will have a simple border. Step7: Now for the text. Grab your text tool and start typing your text in the middle of the button. Make sure you're using a pixel font. Serious1 is a good one. I'll be using the text, "Sepias FX". Font size 10. Make it white. Step8: Blending. Select your text layer, right click and go to "Blending Options". I used these settings: Fill Opacity: 70% Blending Mode: Screen Drop Shadow: Defaults Stroke: Default, 1px, black. Now throw the text layer under the color balance layer and it's blended. Now all that's left is to save it and host it. I suggest http://www.photobucket.com/ for image hosting. My final results: If you liked this tutorial please register on http://forums.xisto.com/. Also, if you use this tutorial, please sign up on my forums, sepiasfx.net/forums

Do You Believe In Santa? Do you believe in Santa?
Kubi replied to Ao)K-General's topic in General Discussion
Well, I'd admit, I used to believe in Santa, when I was a kid. My parents wrapped up a present and labeled it "From: Santa" and I just loved that, lol. But now, I know it's my parents..How'd I find out? I walked out into the living room because I heard a noise, there was my dad. Eating those darn cookies I left for santa...(that's why he was gaining the extra lbs)!Nowadays the presents just pile up over the days, we by something new for someone, wrap it, throw it under the tree.Hope I didn't ruin anyones x-mas! -
If you can't remember your password/username to your domain, you need to contact the place that hosts it for you and request a password change. Most places do that.

Trap-mas 2005 Trap17s own Christmas celebration
Kubi replied to BuffaloHelp's topic in Web Hosting Support
December 23rd, 2 days before Trap-Mas. Merry Trap-Mas everyone! Merry Chrismahanakwanzaka! I'm thankful for my family and friends this Christmas. My dad has been going through some tough times, with his back problem and all, and he's been giving everyone else problems aswell. But hopefully that will stop, even for just a day, as tomorrow the whole family will get together..to celebrate x-mas eve day. It's a tradition for each person in our family to bring one gift. Called the "White Elephant". We gather all those gifts in a pile, and start drawing randomly, exchanging them(yes, forcfully something ). This is the time our whole family can get to gether and talk, have fun, and enjoy a nice meal. It's definetly the best time of the year. I've got some great friends, and I couldn't be happier with our friendship. We hang out together a lot. Movies, and that kind of stuff. They're really great friends and I'm so glad I have met them. I've known them for all my life and we still manage to put up with eachother. I truely thankfull for having great friends. Thank you~ Merry chrismahanakwanzaka. I realize that Microsoft has made a lot of enemies, and that's just because of there monopoly, and ofcourse what' Mr. Bill Hates--I mean gates, has done in the past. But I still don't think google will be able to pull it off. So? There's a website that gives you over 30gigs free. And I've never even heard of them. That doesn't really mean anything.
