  1. First off, I should point out that I take no offense to your so-called "racist" words against white people.Racism really isn't the problem in itself. You need to consider America's history, how Blacks were enslaved and treated with disrespect. Enslavement of the Africans was definitely the worst enslavement that ever happened in the history of the world.I should also note what is implied when someone says the "N" word. When you say it, you are clearly saying that whoever you are talking about is stupid, bad, or helpless, and in a racist way. It's OK for Blacks to say it because it isn't implied that they speak of the entire African-American race. On the other hand, the worst that can be implied when someone calls you a "whitey" is that you're a nerd, which isn't all that much.So yes, some racism does exist against white people, but it's not anywhere near as bad as black racism.
  2. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about... Global warming is REAL, people! Earth is much hotter than it's ever been in its entire history, and you still claim it to be fake? Look at these graphs. Starting in the 1920's-1930's (which was interestingly when the automobile became widely used), temperatures have risen dramatically. Also, watch An Inconvenient Truth. It explains very clearly that global warming is very real and proves it in many ways. And FYI, the ice caps ARE melting. And by the way, "still cold up here" doesn't prove anything against the melting of the ice caps (which is very real) or global warming. I just don't get why some people reject scientific evidence for their own little ideas.
  3. I believe the creation of the world did not happen in seven of our days. A day to God could very well be the entire Mesozoic Era. It was definitely not literal, it was figurative. As a side, humans did not appear until almost 64 million years after the dinosaurs were extinct, so to say that cavemen lived during the "dinosaur days" is completely inaccurate, despite what the Flinstones might have told you.
  4. I still think Bush is largely at fault, not because he made the decision (which in fact he didn't), but because his lies convinced Congress to go to war.
  5. One thing that REALLY makes me mad is when people that have absolutely no idea what they are talking about but think they know everything about what they're talking about. My mom does this a lot. Recently, she got upset at us because the DirecTV receiver stopped working all of a sudden. First, I tried pressing the power button on the receiver a few times. My mom yelled something along the lines of, "Stop! You're going to break it! STOP!!" Then I suggested pushing the reset button, and she exclaimed, "No! You're not supposed to use that too much! It could break it!" When she finally permitted me to push it and I went to push it, she shouted, "No! You can't reset it like that, it'll break it! Use the RESET BUTTON!!"A less recent incidence of this happening was when my stepfather (who I just call Howard) got mad on a few occasions at us for using crushed ice from the ice dispenser on the fridge door. For some reason he thought it would cause it to break.
  6. Hi... Malice... You know what that means, right? Anyways welcome to the forum! Just remember to read the rules and don't slip up too much, and most importantly: Have a great time! This forum is filled with awesome people, so in addition to the free web hosting, you get to join an awesome community! :DAnyways, despite your creepy name... Malice... it's great to have you here!
  7. I'm in total agreement. I'm just trying to explore: Could there be ways to get people to behave more? As it happens, we do in fact tend to reply more to stupid topics. For example, on the GMC, someone created this topic (and the game) in an attempt to gain attention. It worked; if you read through the topic, you will see that the first reply showed up less than a day later, and subsequent posts showed up within hours (and in some cases within minutes). Four days after the topic's creation, there were almost a hundred replies (93 to be exact). So, what can be done to stop this from happening? From a realistic standpoint, nothing. There will always be some n00b that just doesn't understand and ridicules the topic, and then everyone else will start following suit. However, from an idealistic standpoint, everyone would just have to stop posting in nonsense topics and start posting in topics that are good. If you think about it, this can happen. As long as experienced users don't reply to the topics (simply report and move on), the spammer won't get the attention he was seeking, and thus may search for another method to gain attention. If users are posting in good topics more often, attention-seekers would come to the conclusion that he can get attention by creating good, meaningful topics, so he would have no real reason to spam.
  8. When a single government controls advanced technology and bloody war causes it to collapse, especially when that war was with uncivilized barbarians, the technology is lost because the knowledge of that technology is never passed to someone else. Because of this, whenever a war causes a dramatic change in power, human civilization effectively gets blasted back hundreds of years in development.
  9. This idea is ridiculously stupid (no offense). If you were to copy someone's brain into a robot, it's true that the robot would act exactly like the person and have the same memories, but it wouldn't be the same person. Your soul wouldn't travel to the new robotic brain. Also, I believe that, no matter what your religion is, you'd have to agree that immortality is directly against your god (of course, this doesn't apply if you're an atheist). Think about it: desiring immortality means that you are afraid to die, hence afraid of what happens after death. If you are a Buddhist or a Hindu, this automatically means you don't believe in your religion, because those religions clearly state that when you die, you simply are reborn as another person. If you are a Christian, a Muslim, or a Jew, it means you are afraid to enter God's kingdom, or you don't believe that you will enter God's kingdom (i.e. don't really believe in God). Sorry about the religious entry, but unless you're an atheist, chances are seeking immortality would be considered evil.
  10. Hi enderforce! Nice to meet you!Wouldn't you know it, it's kind of the same thing for me. Except I'm not switching from Webs, I'm switching from Weebly. :DJust remember to post often, and make all your posts count. You'll have that website in no time. And, my favorite part is it's free!
  11. Interesting story...But, it may not be the forum's fault. One time on my forum, a user registered an account. But, he misspelled his Email address. So he had to create another one. It also lead to me having to delete his typo account.Of course, I could still be wrong. After all, it's not like I'm this forum's admin.
  12. Has anyone here ever seen a Black Triangle? Apparently they appear in the sky on very clear nights (meaning they can't be just projections) and make no noise (meaning that they can't be helicopters). They also apparently hover in one place for a time, then instantly go up to incredible speeds without delay. They are said to look like black triangles, usually with lights (sometimes colored), and sometimes with a red, pulsating light in the center. One has actually been seen on radar and by several officials, proving that it wasn't false. There's more info about black triangles at its Wikipedia article. Personally, I think that black triangles are in fact some form of advanced creature observing us for whatever reason. I personally think they could also be the ancient Mayan civilization.
  13. Amateur game development can get you some money by earning you ad revenue. Or, you can do what I do and work hard on your games, allowing you to sell them as shareware. Game Maker allows for some easily created amateur games while at the same time being reliable and flexible for professional games. There are also other, easier to use game creation utilities that focus on a specific genre, though I personally haven't explored these.
  14. I just joined a couple days ago, and I have around $1.50. I plan on creating a new website for my game development team, Dark Fairy Games, so I've been posting relatively frequently. I've also been making extra-sure that my posts are at least somewhat meaningful.EDIT: Scratch that, I've earned about $2.00.
  15. Yes, there is something. It just isn't likely to be sufficient to provide a clear picture of what it will look like. For example, I can't imagine how it could be possible to control time, or what kinds of aliens humanity might meet. But it is still possible to make a vague hypothesis.
  16. Actually, the reason things can't travel faster than (or even at) the speed of light is not because of friction, but because it would require an infinite amount of energy to do so (am I right to call this inertia?). You are entitled to your opinion, but Einstein's theories have been proven on several levels, whereas your ideas have very little or no evidence. So you may be right, but the chance of that is very slim. About the time thing: The theory is as you approach the speed of light, time slows down, and when you reach the speed of light, time comes to a stop. This isn't traveling through time; rather, it means that when you go faster, time passes slower from your perspective than it does in the real world. This means that if you travel at the speed of light to a star 8 lightyears away and back, the trip would take 16 years, but from your perspective, no time would have passed. This would also mean that you wouldn't age during the trip. Since you can't go past the speed of light, this can't cause time to go backwards. If it did, it would make you younger, but it can't because it isn't possible to go beyond the speed of light.

    Hey All!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I think I'm really going to like this place! Actually what I meant was, cemetaryrecords had two things quoted without quote tags. I thought for a sec that he wrote the whole thing, even though he didn't. Also the only quotes I've seen so far were wrapped in quotation marks instead, until you used the quote tag. But anyways I guess that means you guys do use quote tags after all.
  18. This flying car looks sort of cool, but I don't think flying cars will ever be a major thing. There's really no point to owning one. Also, the fact that you need a pilot license reduces its usefulness even more. Chances are, flying cars will be even less successful than the Segway.

    Hey All!

One question: How come no one here uses the quote tags?
  20. Actually, that isn't even a comparison. When you're still in the womb, you have absolutely no basis on what to imagine the world to be. On the other hand, we have experienced a world as a species for thousands of years. Therefore, we have something to base our thoughts on.
  21. Well, I think if we evolved from bronze to modern (industrial?) technology in 2000 years, humanity should be able to get that technology in a few million years at least. This of course assumes that we don't nuke ourselves back into the stone age.
  22. Google Adsense is useless. I made $0.09 in 4 months. If you have to choose between Google Adsense and a clean, ad-free page, the choice is obvious when the benefit of Adsense is so small...
  23. I personally can't wait for Windows 7. It looks like it will be the first OS that Microsoft actually worked hard on. Hopefully Windows 7 will have increased stability by the final release. It seems it's already faster, which is good. Speed is a very good thing.
  24. I imagine that sometime in the distant future, humanity will explore and colonize distant stars in this galaxy and perhaps even in other galaxies. There is a major obstacle when it comes to space travel: the distances are huge. It takes several years even for light to go from the closest stars to the Sun to the Sun. So, how will humanity accomplish this? The answer is time, or as I like to put it, the fourth dimension. In our 3-dimensional universe, we have three dimensions: length, width, and depth. Then we have something else, which we call time. So what is time? To us, time is nothing more than the passage of events. But, if you think of time as a fourth dimension, time isn't just something linear. We are rather forced along this fourth dimension in a linear fashion, causing "time" to be linear. Therefore, long-distance travel will be accomplished by "folding" the fourth dimension, creating a shortcut from point A to point B, which effectively makes the trip much shorter. Or, perhaps we will simply travel close to the speed of light. But, I think the 4th dimension will be used. Any thoughts? Theories?
  25. Wouldn't you be completely unable to do anything while you were traveling at the speed of light anyways? As you approach the speed of light, time slows down, and when you reach the speed of light, time comes to a stop. This would mean that no matter how long it takes, from your point of view, the trip would be instantaneous; the time that it would appear to take would be zero. Therefore, you would not even know that you ever traveled at the speed of light; even if you traveled at the speed of light for 40 billion years, it would seem that the trip took literally no time at all. Because of this, by the time you were able to order your arm to throw the ball, you wouldn't be travelling at the speed of light anymore; the trip would be over. On the other hand, if you were just travelling close to the speed of light, it wouldn't be impossible to throw the ball; however, it would take so much energy, your arm would likely be unable to handle it.
