  1. I never actually owned a computer, (I use a laptop now) I used to just randomly borrow my parent's computer to do homework or something. I haven't really entered the world of the internet until about 3 years ago. And I've been using this computer (laptop) since then.
  2. I don't see why people have to "smoke" "drink" "have sex" at such an early age. It's not like you'll miss out on all of these 5 or so years later. Waiting only makes the rewards taste sweeter than when you have it early. I personally am against drinking at all. (Can't say I'll still agree if for whatever reason I decide to take up drinking though...) It doesn't help me at all, all it does is waste money. It doesn't taste good. And drinking it will only hurt me more than it will help me. Sure, it might help me fall asleep faster (psh) or forget my troubles, but it seems kinda redundant to me.
  3. It depends on how you see it. I saw somewhere that describes every decision that we make as a different universe. Basically, you start with an object and everything that can happen to it becomes an alternate universe.Let's take a human for example. If we use the theory we mentioned above, every moment of our life is an alternate universe. Because the above made no sense, I'm going to try explaining it again. Think of it as a tree. A tree starts off as a small seed and it gradually grows. Every branch it spawns is an alternate universe that is just exactly like ours, except it's slightly different in terms of what happens. And there is an infinete amount of branches. And because I suck at explaining stuff, I'm just going to say, if you want to know more, delve your mind into the depths of String Theory. It's really interesting.
  4. Music is basically a string of sound waves that your brain percieves as a catchy tune. Think vibrations of frequency and all that stuff, and you'll get the idea.
  5. I use Azureus, mainly because it has never failed me. And if anyone says that this BitTorrent client gives you faster speed or whatever, they're lying or not too smart. The type of BitTorrent client you use doesn't really matter, it's the torrent that you're using that affects the speed. (And also your ISP of course.)Azureus a bit of a computer resource hog, so if you don't have a fast computer (like me...) then you're better off without something else. BitTornado isn't that bad.
  6. Let's try to explain this in simple terms, assuming he's new to the internet. (Not meant to be offensive)Hosting requires servers, servers requires money to pay for. And that money comes out of the pockets of the owners of the servers. To get money for the servers, the owners either charge YOU money for it, OR put advertisements on every page of your site, thus earning them money, OR they put advertisements on their own site and find a way for you to visit it. By posting on the forum, you're meant to visit the forum, thus generating revenue for the owners.Note: I'm aware that Xisto wasn't meant to be making money off the people that visit the forum. But I'm pretty sure the ads ARE there to make some sort of money, right? ;
  7. I probably won't use up my million dollars... But if I had to say, I'd probably buy the things I couldn't before. But not like cars or houses, that's just a waste of money. Then I'll probably donate some of it to people. I'm a nice guy, and I like to give back to people. Like Xisto for example. And speaking of Xisto, I'm definetely getting myself some paid hosting on Xisto - Web Hosting :)Then finally, I'll probably bank it or something... I can't see myself going on a shopping spree everyday until I eventually run out of money.

    Ps3 Going Late

What do you expect? It's Japan that's making all of this, so it's obvious they'll get it first. You can't just hold Japan off until the US gets their hands on it to release it there. :)And if this is true, then the PS3 will probably lose against the Wii. And if things continue to go downhill like this, the Xbox360 will probably beat it too. Sony's in a tough situation now.
  9. I really wouldn't suggest making your own private server unless you know what you're doing. For one thing, it's going to waste a lot of time and you need a really good server to use or you'll be experiencing a lot of lag. And if you don't know how to handle a private server, you'll probably get taken advantaged of.But...a tutorial is a tutorial.
  10. I don't like the idea of going to people like for a free domain. It seems very risky to me. They might take advantage of your info or something. I don't understand why everyone sees having a domain name as such a big deal. Sure, it's better to have one if you can, but it's not that big of a deal. It just makes the site look better, and it's easier to get to it, without having to type all the subdomain info.If anything, .TK should be good enough.
  11. Seriously, people need to look at the date of when the topic was created sometimes. And I don't mean topics that can be revived at anytime because it's available for everyone to add a comment. I'm talking about help/support topics. I mean, obviously if a topic was created back in February, then the problem was probably solved because the topic creator never replied back. [Cookie for anyone that knows the topic I'm referring to.]And of course, there are the people that are basically rephrasing what everyone else is saying in the topic. Sometimes, you'll find that in a topic (new or old, but usually old) there will be multiple instances of the same reply only rephrased in a different way. So please people, try to at least see if the topic still deserves a comment after half a year before making one.
  12. Well, we have a partner site/forum just for that. And I don't think it would be wise to link the credits to the Arcade. Eventually, people will find out how to manipulate it. And plus, it'd be kinda hard to code it with the Credit System and it just might bug up the forum. As Saint Michael said, it'd be best to stay away from ideas that have anything to deal with the credits and stuff. I myself personally want something that want to do with Writing. Some sort of contest maybe. I know I'm not the best writer, but I guess it would be kinda interesting to have a contest where people submit their writing. And then we could set up a poll for people to vote on their favorite. And then people could put up reviews or something. There IS a section for this, but not many people use it sadly. (The Creativity Forum) Also, I don't think anyone even uses that forum to put Writing. All I see is songs and stuff...which isn't very interesting in my opinion because you can't really feel it unless you hear the song.
  13. A few things came to mind, some serious, some silly. Wasn't there some kind of way to remember the order of the planets? M.V.E.M.J.S.U.N.P. <= something like "My very * mother just * * * * pie" (someone fill this in for me. I never really used that before...) or whatever. Wouldn't taking Pluto out of the system totally kill that way of remembering the order of the planets? :DAlso, yeah, it sucks to be Pluto. I find Pluto to be one of the coolest planets in the Solar System. (yeah, even more than Earth << >> ) It's so small yet so mysterious. And then there's also the fact that it sometimes treads pass the path Neptune uses to revolve around the sun. It makes me think that what would happen if they suddenly collided one day. (yeah, i'll be dead by then.....)Also, I heard that they were going to add another planet into the solar system to take place of Pluto. The guy who discovered was going to name it "Xena" after the TV show "Xena warrior princess" or something...I find it insulting to Pluto that a random object is going to take its place. Sure, it's be bigger than it. But everyone knows that it's Quality over Quantity. And I find Pluto to be much more interesting than this Xena. I mean, how long will it take to reach it with a space ship? It'll probably be a few more decades until they try to launch until ship to Xena. (Wasn't there a ship heading to Pluto too? They better NOT change the course of the ship to head towards Xena or something...)
  14. Don't hundreds of people visit the site/forum everyday? All of them are interested in getting free web hosting, but they'd rather not work for it which leads to them being a guest and not registering. If you've noticed at all, there're almost always more guests than members online. Sometimes there're some anonymous members too.And if I'm not mistaken, sometimes, there can be multiple instances of the same IP. If you access Xisto with two browsers, the other one will be a guest. (unless you've logged in with that browser before and you stayed on) Sometimes, people like to alternate between browsers, which can lead to two of the same IPs visiting the forum. Also, you can't really expect every member that've joined to be online at the same time. Some people are seperated by timezones. So while 1000 users can be online now, the other 1000 (assuming there are 2000 users using Xisto.....) will be sleeping or doing something else.
  15. You're kidding. Back when I was still using DSL, it gave me problems every week. It has been to point where I had some technicians come over to my house at least once every month only to have the same problem return everytime. I hated my ISP (Verizon if you're curious). I used to call them at night a lot because they're help service is online 24/7. And not because I wanted to annoy them, it's because I don't have a lot of time in the day.
  16. You can't stop piracy, where ever you go, online or offline, people will be distributing copies of things to others illegally. Some might not know that it's illegal to do so, some do but still defy the law.Another thing, the companies don't always go against piracy. If anything, sometimes it helps them gain publicity. If someone likes the program, there's a chance that they will buy it or recommend someone to buy it.
  17. Is it just me or did Megaupload decrease their download limit again? A few days ago I was able to download about 5 or so files off it until it tells me my download limit has been exceeded. Then today, after downloading 2 files, it said my download limit has been exceeded. And I know that I haven't downloaded more than I did a few days ago because all these files were approximately the same size.:/
  18. My website actually started from nothing. It was formed by a person named Inferno. He used to visit the Golden Sun boards a lot on GameFAQs. Back in the old days, fanfiction were still allowed on the boards. Then one day, the moderators decided to delete/move all of them, which caused great grief to some of the writers. So Inferno decided to group all of them together, so he made a forum called GSFantasy. Along the lines, another person named Anarchatos came along and decided to help him. He created a site, and moved the board to a better forum. Eventually, the advertisement on GameFAQs began, grouping everyone (including me) together into the newly made Fantasy Abyss.Random people started joining, some stayed, a lot of them left and hardly ever comes back. Eventually, the board became spammy, because people barely cared what happens, so we kept transferring to newer boards, which annoyed people. No one likes it when your post count is 2000~ and then suddenly we have to start all over. This process happened like three times, until finally we settled onto a real site with paid hosting and a domain name. There, Fantasy Abyss settled for about a year. Then, things started dying. The activity on the forum decreased day by day, and the number of spam seemed to rise again. In addition to that, spam bots also raided our forum everyday. People were getting angry. And then, everything died. The one who paid for the site, made everything look good (Anarchatos) finally gave up. He had a few reason to do so too.-He was never really that into the forum.-People didn't like moving, which annoyed him.-People thought he was acting stupid and selfish, completely ignoring how they felt.So in the end, he deleted everything. So then Me and every other staff member on the forum (Except Inferno, because he sided with Anarchatos) decided to recreate Fantasy Abyss. And because I've been a past user of Xisto, I decided to recreate it. And now, Fantasy Abyss much better than it used to be. The only exception being that it's not on paid hosting/domain name. But that might soon change.
  19. My favorite is Chinese Poker, or Big 2 in some countries. The rules are basically the same as regular Poker, except 2 is the biggest card there is, followed by Ace, King, Queen and Jack. The game play is simalar to Poker, but different. In Chinese Poker, the entire deck of cards is distributed evenly among the players. Usually four players is the most common. Four players means that all with recieve Thirteen cards. The player with Diamond Three, which is the lowest card in the game, begins first. He or she must play the Diamond Three down either alone or with a pair/triple/combo. The combos you play are basically the same as regular poker. (Full House, Straight, Four of a Kind, Flush, Royal Flush, Straight Flush, etc...)The objective of the game is to use up all your cards. I'm not sure if this is a real rule or not, but sometimes, there's a rule that forbids you from playing Spade 2 as your final card.
  20. I can't imagine Microsoft creating another handheld. For one thing, it just wouldn't work. If you think about it, Nintendo has already dominated the handhelds. And with the coming of the PSP, Sony really didn't achieve much with it. And soon, the handheld by Microsoft would just be another one of those that no one will play much.
  21. Man, I really hate it when sites like these change their downloading policies. It really bites when you're expecting to download a lot but then they change it. The same thing goes for YouTube when they changed the uploading submissions to a maximum of Ten Minutes...
  22. Sony is definetely pushing their luck. Not a lot of people would be willing to pay that much for the system AND the games together. Sure, maybe like one or two, or maybe even three games for the average gamer. But that's probably the most Sony'll get. If anyone has seen the "poll of the day" yesterday on http://www.gamefaqs.com/ , then they'll know what the majority of the people think. They asked if people will pre-order the Playstation 3, and the majority (about 40%) said they didn't want a playstation 3. Some said they weren't sure. Only about 10% said they'll pre order it. It was sad looking at the results and seeing the fall of Sony.
  23. I don't play much games online, because most of them are boring. The only ones I played are classic and fun ones like Tetris or something. But, if I really have to play something, I'll go to someplace like Miniclip. http://www.miniclip.com/games/en/
  24. I don't like it that much. I still prefer Winrar over 7-zip. The only exception being that I use 7-zip to uncompress and extract 7z. files.7-zip tends to lag my computer and it uncompresses things slower than Winrar does for me.
  25. I don't fully believe in Karma that much. For one thing, I don't fully believe in any one religion. (No offense to anyone) I believe that things happen just because. There isn't a specific reason (excluding things that can be explained, like planned stuff). People just use Karma as another way to cover up a plot hole.Although I don't believe in Karma, I do find it very interesting. The fact that people get what they deserve crosses my mind a lot. If you do something bad, and something bad happens to you (like getting arrested and put into prision or something) then you deserve it. If you know what's right and what's wrong, if you still chose to do the wrong thing, then you shouldn't get pity.
