What Size Image Should I Use
cyber_electrons replied to lonebyrd's topic in Websites and Web Designing
If it is some sort of welcome picture, use something between 800x600 and 1024x768 as there may be links and menubars at the side. Unless if you are displaying this full screen, don't use the maximum dimension of 1024x768 if you use this as your computer resolution or any other people's. It is best to fit and adjust to your website design, some may be slim and some may be huge. I would recommend to use as large as possible such that other things can all be fitted on to one screen without having to scroll - assuming people use the common 1024x768 resolution. -

Traser Watches My friend has a traser watch
cyber_electrons posted a topic in Science and Technology
The traser watches, made by Swiss, has a unique selling point. It is the permanent lighting using a radioactive element tritium. It is in it's gas form and releases beta radiation. Beta radiation is an electron and when the electron hits the material, it gives off cold light - not producing heat. Unlike the other supercharged glowing illumination, the traser offers permanent light (always on) without the need of exposing the watch to light in order to see in the dark for a short while. It has tritium next to every o'clock number and on the hands. Tritium is sealed in a vile so it does not harm anyone; it seals only a small amount. It has a half life of 12 years, meaning the number of bacquerel (Bq) - the number of activities from a radioactive source - will be halved in 12 years. I think the reliable illumination lasts for around 15 years. Feel free to post your traser experience or opinions! http://www.traser.com/seiten/?id=index-sprache-en -
Psp Vs. Nintendo Ds handhelds
cyber_electrons replied to Travis18520's topic in Science and Technology
Definitely PSP for better graphics. Also depends on which games you are playing and the function you wish to have. PSPs are more versatile as it can also play movies and view photos. The NDS is not bad, it allows the use of stylus which expands the playability of games for NDS. -
Best Way To Transfer Files I just bought a laptop
cyber_electrons replied to disneyreporter's topic in Science and Technology
For only file transfer (without the settings), a external/portable hard disk is recommended. They are relatively cheap. As you are only dealling with 15GB, a few rounds of 4GB or 8GB USB would be ok. You may also want to compress your files as well, but it is time consuming if you already have removable storage device. I would recommend a portable HDD or some USB. -
Is It Possible To Destroy The Internet?
cyber_electrons replied to TeeCee06's topic in Science and Technology
If internet is defined as interconnected computers which go world wide, then disconnecting the computers from each other would therefore destroying the internet. Other methods include disconnecting cables and satelites and communication signals, or stopping the electricity supply - no power to run the networks (also wait for the backup and generators to fail). It costed a fortune to create internet and now it will cost a fortune for the possibility of destroying the internet. (hhahahahahaha) In general, it certainly is possible to destroy the internet, in one way or another... -
