moving a tail What Is The Human Tail? (graphical Content)
chakri replied to iGuest's topic in Health & Fitness
Human tail is real. Everyone has it. However it is so small that it is not visible externally. It actually is a small piece of bone. However, there are some people who have the human tail bigger than others and one in million cases will have it as a small protrusion outside. This bone can not be moved. (As shown in the movie Shallow Hal). -
I am trying to move my existing website to Xisto. I want to be sure that the website is fully functional before I can transfer my nameserves. Is there a place/url where I can check the website functionality before I assign the nameservers to my domain name.If it was just a bunch of files and folders I would not have worried. However, I have a joomla installation and I want to be sure that everything is ported and only then I can switch the nameserversCan someone help or provide suggestions here.

To answer your question. If there is a word say "apple" and people specify a certain hyperlink to the word say http://yahoo.com/ . Google considers it as a vote from a website for that term. i.e. apple would show up on the search results. If enough websites do it repeatedly. yahoo may show up on the first page when someone types in apple. This technique has been used by several bloggers and organized groups of people to link words like "Miserable Failure" to bush etc. Such a thing is called a google bomb. However google has been actively cracking down on such bombs. Google has since improved its code so that when a person hyper links a certain word to a certain website. Google actually trys to check if the word appears on the site etc.

Are The Words Written In Quotes Counted For rewarding myCents
chakri replied to ragav.bpl's topic in Web Hosting Support
I think writers should just concentrate on the post and not worry about it.Just like google page rank.. In fact I used to look for ways to improve my google page ranking and nothing seemed to work.. However when I started putting good content my page rank improved drastically. I believe the same applies here. Just good content will always help on the long run. The more you think about mycents only the less you tend to post about useful material. I feel good content would make people participate more and more.. I think if a person sticks in this forum long enough then they will automatically know how the stuff works.. -
To be frank, I believe if ever I win a lotto or get a huge sum of money (which I hope I do ) , I will distribute the money in four parts. Hey I have been planning this for several years. The first part I will put it in a fixed CD and try to use the money as a regular stream of income. The second part will be for me to splurge on some fancy sports car or something. The third part will go in charity (to secure my place in heaven) and finally the fourth part was to help family and friends.I will decide on the size of each part after I get the physical possession of the money.Hey!! is that money pre tax or post tax ??

@ZeyomieI did not mean to say those who don't have insurance should be let to suffer in pain. I know it is not so straight forward. But the point I was trying to make is that there should be a supply and demand relation. . This will force some hospitals or doctors to charge reasonable fees. Right now, just a visit to the emergency care costs over $1000.

Here are a few things that you can try out, First check if your USB drive works on other systems. If it is giving the same issue then most probably the USB has gone bad. If so the last resort would be to try to download the USB drivers from internet and try again. Secondly are you sure that you are using a proper flash drive? I mean if you are using something like an iPod as a USB device then there might be some security around it which might cause you to see nothing.

I have seen many members across the media (especially Bill O'Riley) saying "Our troops are the best and brightest our country has to offer". Do you agree with this statement?I would say they might be the most patriotic, toughest and dedicated. But I would reserve the best and brightest for the folks in NASA, MIT or Stanford etc. Because "A gun is mightier than a sword ". Technology is the key in success.

If You Get A Collections Call Whom Do You Deal With?
chakri replied to chakri's topic in General Discussion
Thank you folks for your answers. I did some more research and I found out that it can be any of the following1) The owner of the debt is hiring somoeone for collections2) The collections folks already have purchased the debt in that case, the owner has no say in the collections process. In my case it was a payment I made to my apartment complex during moveout. I send the info (check copy) to the collections folks and now I am awaiting for their answer. These situations can be very confusing. Especially when you get a call right in middle of work. You tend to loose your focus for a couple of hours.. You keep wondering what might be happening. -
The biggest issue is with the name.. If they were named differently no one would even compare them. Both are great games. However Soccer or Football have a worldwide appeal where as Americal Football is a national game.

I am pro patents because there is a lot of effort that goes into creating something. However I strongly beleive that a person should not be allowed to sue unless an entire idea has been stolen. For instance, I feel it might be ok if google sues another company which makes another website exactly like google (looks feel and font) and usage. however, I dont think google should be able to sue if any search engine used an optimization technique being used by google. Same with pictures. I think companies like getty images should not be allowed to use strong arm tactics to milk money even from non profit organizations. However they should have the right to sue if a big news corporation like CNN uses thier pics without permission.

Blackberry Bold 9000 Better than iPhone?
chakri replied to kingjim007's topic in Science and Technology
The results are out. Blackberry (storm) was able to sell only twenty percent of the phones that apple sold. RIM is a very good company with strong products but apple seems to have an edge on this one. There have been a lot of customer complaints too about the glitches in Blackberry Storm. However Blackberry has always been more secure than iphone so many corporations approve it -
Review Of New Website classified ads
chakri replied to jetranger206's topic in Websites and Web Designing
There is one tool where you can see how fast your website loads. Just google search pingdom tools. If your website does not load in the first 6-8 seconds then it is not considered to be a good site as people will be reluctant to open such a website that takes too long to load.Check all major websites in that tool they load very fast... -
It happened to me, I was walking in a mall near my home and I saw a sports car and people were filling their names and phone number in an attempt to win the car in a lucky drawing. Since it was free I gave my name. Six months later, I received a phone call and it was a timeshare deal. They told me "you have to attend a 90 minute session " to get the gift. I started getting suspicious. Soon, I did some digging and realized that the 90 minute session is actually a 90 minute one one one session under a high pressure sales situation. At the end you get a travel voucher with over a hundred regulations. - you have to travel on a wed and return on thursday. you have to pay security refundable depost etc etc. So be careful and keep walking if you see a shiny car parked inside a mall.

I personally think, TV is something that people would like to watch without interruption. People dont like mixing TV with something else. Many companies tried to add internet to TV but have failed to catch up, There are some tvs with games like tetris and it did not really pick up. So be cautious about developing a TV based game...
