  1. Interestingly, I quickly get used to it anyway. I don't see the difference with it being stretched or not. I choose a windscreen resolution if I can, but I've gotten used to it.Still, being an S3 card, you've probably been using it for a long time? Why is it only an issue now?
  2. You can get cables which do exactly the same as the picture shown - one side is a 3.5mm jack, the other are RCA plugs. It shouldn't be too expensive, but cables might be a little short. The 3.5mm side is actually quite thick - I can only just get three next to each other on the back of a sound-blaster audigy 2 zs card. The cables might not fit in the back either.
  3. Unless there's a different algorythm - the only difference is that hosted credits get deducted once a day. In that case, I'm quite happy to emulate when I pay for it. Instead of x credits, I'd need x + days since signed up.
  4. Yea. I haven't really even posted since this thread. It's natural to assume when your going to "purchase" something, only the amount is deducted, nothing more.Oh well...
  5. Ok, But I still don't see why it can't be done at the same time. Any reasons?
  6. I never quite saw that. So, what happens to someone like me, who's looking at getting a .com as well as the 2nd package? I've been saving up so I could get both at once. I don't mind having to get the domain first, then getting another 30-40 credits, but I won't be happy if I have to get the 2nd package, then lose the credits and have to get the domian after.
  7. iTunes isn't really needed. That's just what apple wants you to believe. There's several players that can interact with ipods these days, Winamp being one of them.
  8. http://www.easyphp.org/ is another one
  9. I'm also somewhat novice and wouldn't have a clue how to do this, let alone the security implications. Someone else will have to.
  10. This is an interesting prospect, and I played with it for quite some time. In the end, I realised that most people won't stay long enough to change themes so it wouldn't matter so much. There's a few ways to do it. I went and made a page, then put php include tags everywhere. For example, <?php include ("pages/news.php"); ?><?php include ("pages/home.php"); ?>These contained the raw data for the pages. Using variables in the url, I was able to change theme and page according to what the user wanted.
  11. I thought the computer in question wasn't networked? You shouldn't need a firewall, might not even need an anti-virus in this case. However - it'd still be possible to be infected (USB sticks for instance).
  12. You'd be amazed just by how many people *don't* know what Firefox is yet! They are totally content with IE, and why shouldn't they be? As far as the general population is concerned, IE goes onto the internet and surfs it. That's speaking on-behalf of the internet-enabled general population. The people who don't care how well the pc works, as long as it works and does what they want it to. Who don't know what the hell HTML/CSS/PHP, apache, mime-types, etc etc is. They run Nortans and never defragged in their life. Why should they know or care?
  13. If you've got Vista 32-bit, your wasting your time with the 4gb memory. The most you'll get is 3.2gb, due to the limitations of 32-bit architecture. This is the entire reason for 64-bit computing. It's not really any speed difference, but you can address far more memory (2TB if I remember right)
  14. Using a memory stick or a CD might sound like a good idea, but essentially it's not. CD's have problems keeping thier data secure, and memory sticks are easy to lose, plus its hard to know where things are put, on which stick, and it's also somewhat slow. There's nothing better then buying another hard drive for backup at these days. They are getting cheaper as the days go on, for now.$145 (AUS) for a 500gb drive? That's just a steal!
  15. As I said, WGA is bad for everyone. There's been people who's got thier pc assembled, installed a legal Vista, tried to activate. Next thing they know, they have a black screen, with an IE page open so that people can 'buy' Vista again. And then, WGA has a poor detection rate of pirated copies anyway.
  16. Yes. You're just trying to insert too much data at once. When you backup, the data *HAS* to go through memory during data copy - which is limited. Backing up bit by bit instead of all at once avoids this memory limit.
  17. This question has been asked a few times, and from what I read, you can. But, there must be an English and Polish version.
  18. Well if the computer isn't connected to the internet or networked in any way AT ALL, you probably don't. However, most people who use automatic updates are connected, are they not?Personally I'd avoid the WGA stuff. It's no where near accurate, there's plenty of people who've been wrongly accused as using pirated software when they are 100% legal (Sound like anyone else you know? Maybe the RIAA? ). There's no need for Microsoft to run 20 checks to see if my serial isn't pirated, this is exactly what activation is for in the first place!
  19. Since this is the first time I've even heard of it (I admittedly skipped some of the readme) where is this Credit Bank?
  20. Enjoy the fantastic hosting of Trap 17 Be sure to check up on the readme!
  21. And now it keeps bringing up a bad download. Doesn't like me either Try a different file uploader... http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://imageshack.us/ https://www.sendspace.com/ http://files-upload.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.filefactory.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ What do you mean exactly? I figure they are both the same....
  22. Don't feel bad about it . We all do stupid things like this sometimes. You've got no idea how many times i've missed a single charater in flash script and spent 2 hours trying to fix it. Enjoy the hosting
  23. Cute. I like it :DNot sure about the "stairs" font but other then that.
  24. What video card do you have? I might be able to find something out if I know what the card is. edit: I found this topic http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  25. So, soccer is "of the menu". Is there a point to this thread?
