I think it would be best to contact mccodes for this. They will most likely give you better help, unless there are advanced mccodes users here...

Oh, I may rethink doing that, because my members may upload copyrighted images or attachments.Unlimited web hosting has very strict hosting policy. One strike and you are permanently out. No second chance. So it's there for those who can really, I mean really, follow AUP and TOS.
When will I have to buy one of the packages that is on the billing page? I am aware that an email is sent when this stuff will be finalized, but I just want to get it down before it becomes final. The current hosting credit idea is now Credit System V3.
Instead of earning hosting credits you are earning myCENT values by contributing to our forum. So whether you see the hosting credits in the index page or not, it does not matter. Hosting credits is just a plug-in of IP.Board that OpaQue had made. Now, we're going to see myCENT instead of Hosting Credits.
Concentrate on posting quality posts as usual and you will not need to worry about anything.
Also are there plans for adding more plans, ex ones with more features and such included, and ones with less space/BW?

Ok well this is what I want to do. I want to have a special rank just for people who donate. I already have that up. But I want it to be that you get to be that rank if you donate $20 a year or equvelant (sp). Such as if I wanted to be VIP for 6 months I would donate $10. I really want this in so that I can buy the hosting stuff and domains, and such, to make my forum even bigger. But I want it so that people can donate however much they want ($5 or more), but right now it says only $25 or more will let you donate. I don't care if I don't get the full donation credited to my account, I just want an acceptable amount of money showing up when people donate whatever they want to.Also is there a way that I can have a link that if people want to donate they can use that link and it will automatically credit my account. It may already be in place but I just want to make sure that that system is an option.

No. I know for a fact that if you send money, they get the full amount, and you get charged a fee.
-
Crazy how some people overreact!I have seen on Dateline I think a cloak that blends in with the stuff behind you, but you can easily tell you are there. To the people making it, good luck!
-
Yeah, but the person who SENDS the money gets the fee. If I send you 10 bucks, I get charged $10.33 (as an example) and you get $10.
-
It may just be easier to use slashes instead of subdomains though.
-
I noticed that to add funds from PayPal, it had to be at least $25. I think that it should be lowered to maybe $5 or even $1, so that if people on my website wanted to donate whatever they wanted, they could, and it could go right to me.

I know, I was just fooling around. 90% of the time, don't take me seriously

Look in your billing account. You most likely have more than my $3.03. If not, then your post must not be as long as mine. Once you get 100 MyCENTs, they transfer them to the billing account, and turn it into $1.I myself don't understand the way it credits me willie you got 83 posts and i got 106 and you got more in myCENT than me? can anyone explain why?
Quit showing offThe $12 usd in my account says im very happy , the again ive spent about $35 for a years hosting, plus the 4 $10 domains i bought from Xisto - Domains. Ive spent $75 on Xisto - Web Hosting. Not really a lot, still i have to pay it out again, except not all the domains mind. It's works out to me about ?40

I think that the domains are a little overpriced compared to other places, but it doesn't matter, because I won't be using real cash, I will be using myCENT. I think that some of the addons should be free, like 10 free MySQL, and 10 free emails, but otherwise I like the billing system is great. The only thing I don't like about MyCENT is the time it takes to credit, but I like when I log in, and I have another 50?!

Well he is transferring the files from one computer to another, so torrents would be better. And I didn't remember using messengers. That's a good idea. If you are putting the files on your hosting account it will use up a lot of BW.

No when you click on the view new posts, it shows posts from all categories.
-
Jeez. There's a heck of a lot of ranting here on Xisto. I noticed this when I clicked on View New Posts a day or two ago. (See attachment)What happened to all the love?
-
Yeah I looked at some of the hosting packages, and it looks like the Unlimited plan is actually the better plan if you want email and MySQL, and addons like that. The admins should really look into that and possible change the prices, before everybody signs up for Unlimited and overloads the servers...

I think together the Gamecube and the Gameboy advanced are the best. They have a bunch of games that you can use both systems for, and a good part is you don't have to use batteries! As for independently, I would say the Nintendo 64 and the game boy color. Gameboy color was awesome because it had mario bros, and it had pokemon. Nintendo 64 was great, but I wish they weren't cartrages (sp), because dust got in them a lot. but then again they aren't easily scratched

Actually many people would if they really want to buy the domain. When the movie came out, the owner of cloverfield.com got so many emails,, I heard he was trying to get thousands for the website. What are the chances that people would really go through the work of tracing you down just to harass you like that?
Would Xisto take it away? Even if I were to put in my correct details, and have them mask it, would that be ok?It's not technically illegal, but you are likely to lose your domain. You are required by the rules of domain registration to make sure that there are valid contact details available at all times for your domain. Putting "None" in all the boxes doesn't really help.

Make a spam email. That's what I do. My inbox right now has about 30k+ messages, and I really don't care if I get more.
If you want to spam me go right a head, fboxwl@yahoo.com

This has nothing to do with FTP or stuff like that, but if ou compress it, it will be a lot less space. And if you want to transfer a lot of data, you could also use torrents. Most people link torrents to being illegal, but you can get a lot of freeware from them, and if you want to transfer files from one computer to another, torrents is an easy way to do it.

This reminds me of Runescape before they put in the stupid equal trade. I know of people who would buy 100k+ law runes at about 100 a piece and sell them in sets of 1k for 250 each. It was fast money and they made millions in a day. Then they sold the cash that they made online for about $10 a Million. But I still think that they best way to make money is through work, not buy playing a game, though it can make you some money.

You should download SQL backups about every day, depending on the size of your forum. As for your website, just download the files when you change them. That's what I do, and it saved me from resorting to a week old backup, because I used to only do it every week.

Now that I've read the posts, I think this new plan will be good. But will we be able to use the money to buy extensions of plans, such as I have 100 days left on my hosting package. Can I just buy another (lets say one year) when I still have my 10 days left to make it so that I have 375 days left on my hosting plan. I'm also liking this better because I will be able to get a domain a lot faster!!Now that I'm looking at the plans. I think that the fact that email and SQL databases cost more, I'm not going to like the new system that much. It's good if you have a lot of money saved up (so now you can get unlimited for years, and a couple hundred domains), but I have about $4 now, so I'm going to have to post like crazy...
-
That's a good idea. I would rather not have people staking me and sending me mail all the time about how they want to buy my website for $XX,XXX.Thanks for the tips!

That's funny! Mine started to show up now. Maybe if you deleted a post you go negative?

I think it should be $4.00 for requesting a hosting account. The post count is a terrible way of doing it because anybody can bang out 10 posts, but what we are looking for here is good posts. I have seen it everywhere else. People post two word posts to get hosting, and there is no incentive to post more, since a post is a post, no matter how long it is.$4.00 actually may be hard to earn for a new user, so maybe $2.00 or so.
