  1. Yeah, but I'm already over 250MB space. I picked the 1GB plan cos I need the space to expand. :lol:It's ok, I could just transfer my domain over to CH? Does CH do domain transfers?
  2. Hi, I sent you a PM, Opaque, but I think you've been too busy to read it. Anyways, first question: My domain name is expiring in May. Is transfer to CH $7.99 as well, and how do I go about doing this? My current hosting package is just right, 1GB space and 75GB bandwidth (although I never even reached 10GB yet), but I would like to transfer to CH because of my prior good experience with T17, and it's also more convenient to have my domain and hosting at the same place. Which leads to my second question: Is there a 1GB plan? I'm paying $19.99 a year for the current plan I have, which would work out to about half price of the $3.33/month package. If you could let me have the same rate I would love to transfer back. That's all .. for now.. thanks!
  3. Hm! You're some friend eh? But that's kinda different, cos you were like doing him a favour. He didn't pay you to ship him the item did he? I paid alot of money for the shipping. And I'm not even complaining that he overcharged me by US$5. I saw on the USPS website that it costs only $9.50 to ship and I paid $14.95 I'm just really disgusted that it seems Ebay would rather protect its sellers more than buyers. Am not going to buy anything from Ebay ever again. I've switched to Yahoo now. Have had three very smooth transactions thus far.
  4. UPDATE 5/2: The seller is no longer registered on ebay! (posted this on my online shopping blog as well, but modified to post on T17... and added remarks lol. I'm really mad!!! ) Everyone - beware this seller 4310cape I bought a skirt on Ebay. I paid on 25 March. There was one email that came asking me about my address (I had not filled in "city" as my city is my country, but apparently people don't know that, well my bad.) I waited for weeks and weeks. On the auction, it had clearly stated that shipping would take 4-6 days. I email the seller but only twice, didn't want to be naggy. Both times very polite, asking for the estimated time it would take. After three weeks, and no response, I filed a dispute. Still no response. I contact Ebay Customer Service only to have them tell me that I have to wait 10 days after filing a dispute. Finally, the item arrives. Guess why it took so long? It was only shipped on April 4. Even though I?m sort of pacified now that I have my item, I?m still disgusted with the way sellers treat their customers. I have to pay within 7 days of winning the auction, but they can take their own sweet time to ship it? And not only that, when I don't get my item, I have to WAIT SOME MORE for them to respond?? And I was even nice, I didn?t give this guy a negative feedback, I gave him a neutral one. In the most objective manner possible. I didn't even attack him personally as some others did. My feedback: Item shipped rather late? More communication & consideration for buyer needed. Reply by 4310cape: Yet another newbie buyer in SINGAPORE. Like hello? I paid you on the 25th of March, you ship out on the 4th of April, that is like, ten whole days after payment has been made. It?s not possible you need ten entire days just to fill in customs forms? For one skirt? What did he need to do, look up a dictionary? We speak English in Singapore. Oops, maybe he doesn?t understand British English or something. And what is with SINGAPORE? So what? Does that mean it?s in the middle of nowhere? 4 April - 12th April that?s reasonable time frame to expect shipments to take. IF I HAD KNOWN IT WAS SHIPPED LATE. Even the other sellers on the eBay community discussion boards said that it doesn?t take that long to ship to Singapore. Just because you?ve never heard of Singapore - I?m sorry, it?s SINGAPORE to you, it?s probably some country at the other end of the universe where they live in mud huts and drink river water eh? - and think it?s somewhere far off doesn?t mean you can use distance as an excuse for shoddy service. I saw that another buyer from Singapore gave him a negative rating, to which he responded in a really hostile manner. If you don?t bother to reply emails, don?t expect good ratings. You don?t reply emails at all, how are buyers supposed to know anything? With such extremely bad customer service, how are buyers supposed to trust that you aren?t scamming them? No response = hiding/running away. That is the normal course of things. If you are a honest seller, you would have nothing to hide. How hard could it be to reply emails? It?s not like we?re asking for the moon. We would just like to be shown some basic courtesy like you show to the other AMERICANS who give you good, positive feedback. I was already very patient. I asked him how long it would take. I expected him to have the basic courtesy to let me know. But he didn?t even possess that. He ignored all my emails. He even ignored my dispute which I opened only at the end of three weeks waiting for my item. It was CLEARLY stated on the auction page that shipping worldwide takes only 4-6 days. He replied my emails up till the point where I paid him. After he got my money, it was like, you can go to hell now. I bet if I had charged back payment, that would have gotten a reply out of him. Newbie indeed. It?s precisely because he thinks I am a newbie that he thinks he can get away with such horrendous appalling customer service. I happen to have been on eBay longer than he has. I should have slammed him with the negative feedback. Now I am so tempted to post his telephone number so that telemarketers can have a field day with it.
  5. for the 3.33 a month plan, can we customise our own mx and a records?
  6. madagascar!! do you like to moveit moveit?
  7. This is a 24 minute video clip about two best friends and a girl... It's in Korean, but if you don't understand Korean I think it's not that hard to sort of guess what they are saying. Plus there are weird audience background noises, so you can sort of tell when it's a funny moment or a sad moment... I think this was probably shown live in a studio or something. There's an English subbed version, but only the first half has been subbed. The movie is starring Park Yoochun of the Korean boyband Dong Bang Shin Gi. Full version (no subtitles) - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Subbed version (Part 1 only) - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It takes a while to load, especially during peak hours, so be patient! It's worth the wait! I just wish someone would tell me what song DBSG is singing in the opening of the movie...
  8. Nice post.Interesting read. :(On an off-topic but slightly related note: would also be interesting to find out what Wikipedia has to say about both the theory of evolution and the theory that God created the world. If they say evolution is a science, does this discredit their professionalism and accuracy?
  9. Oh. That's highly plausible actually. Thanks for all the responses guys!
  10. Thanks, dontmaimyourself. I tried the font recognition thing as well, and some identifier thiing which asked me a zillion questions but didn't hit the mark. I tried at a font forum, and the admin there gave me a few fonts which looked really similar. And yeah, Microgramma does look a lot like it. There was another, Eurostile, but between the two, Microgramma is cheaper to buy (if I have no other option). I'll take a look at MicrogrammaDBolExt and see how that goes. Thanks alot!
  11. I'm going crazy trying to find out what font this is. This was taken from a poster (print), but I need to use it to make a website (of the same thing). Obviously, I didn't design the poster, so I don't know, and the person who did has forgotten/didn't do it on their own computer. Here's a picture. The j on the far left got cropped slightly. This was due to the person designing the poster in WORD and when I tried to extract it out, the sides got cropped no matter what I did. Oh well. Anyway, the end of the j doesn't curve upwards. It curves slightly, like the y. Here's a picture. Those are all the letters in the poster. Please help me before I tear all my hair off my head and start on my arms and legs... THANK YOU.
  12. well. i suppose if you count the "special" characters like darth maul that you can play as for a limited time period in the game.but so far i haven't come across any female special characters in battlefront it's been mostly darth vader and darth maul and luke skywalker.. etc..
  13. oh yea you're right. there aren't any female characters in star wars!
  14. Well we just got an xbox, I know there are tons of games out there but I don't know most of the games out there... I'm just wondering if there are any that appeal especially to girls? Those that I've enjoyed so far- Star Wars Battlefront- TopspinIn case you were wondering, nope, FIFA does not interest me. :)Anything else? Hoping you could throw up a few names, maybe link me to someplace I could review the game before heading down to the shops. Please, no Barbie Plays Dress Up or whatnot thank you very much indeed... Thanks lots!
  15. I'd like to join Orkut and see what it's like. Friendster was just too creepy for me. I like the security invite-only thing...Anyone have an invite for me?
  16. If you are registering with http://freebe.be/, this is how it works - As quoted from the index page. If you read the TOS, there's no obligation to renew - you may cancel it before payment is due but it has to be 60 days before, I think, or you might be charged legally (if what I read was correct) to the tune of maybe 200 Euros... So if you're registering now, remember to cancel around end of August 2006.
  17. It's not restricted. It's internationally available - no charge at all. http://freebe.be/
  18. Okay, I am so lost now Only started this 'coz my interest was sparked off watching Donnie Darko - now you guys have all gone and baffled me lol But it's all really very interesting though and thanks for the thoughts and the time you spent to reply!
  19. Umm, if I'm not wrong... it should be <?php echo $display_block; ?> because you ended the php code up there before the html segment starts...
  20. I'm just sitting here being amazed at the fact that 20 people (now 21) have replied to this topic! LOL.You should work in advertising, thebluekirby...
