  1. I was thinking the same thing about the asking for rep... Snlildude, there used to be four packages? Are the current two the ones that used to be the bottom two? And what were the other two packages?
  2. Thanks for the links. I already use the last one, and it's super useful. To get gDrive you have to register yousendit.com expires your fies if they aren't downloaded within 7 days, but besides that it's really good. Gmail downloader sounds really nice, but I don't really need it. Thanks!
  3. I chose php/... because I'm just starting to learn PHP and it's really neato! I just started today, and I started to learn because I'm going to make my first online game once I have enough PHP learned to do so.
  4. Hey snlildude this tutorial is bomb! Thanks a lot, it answered all my questions and a lot more! <addrep snlildude87="+1"></addrep>
  5. Alright, I got PHP. Now do I need anything else to test it on my computer?
  6. Muds? Can you explain to me what muds are? PHP seems like the best way to make an online game to me.
  7. I use Firefox because of tabbed browsing; open source, which branches off into many other reasons; customizable toolbars; extensions; themes; straight-and-to-the-point options; about:config; it retrieves the site's icon during browsing, not just when you bookmark the site; and there's a bunch more, but I can't be bothered to list all Firefox's 31337 features
  8. Down with Micro$soft ... ... Sorry, just correcting my mistake.
  9. Down the Micro$oft, the monopoly! The design is really sleek though. Not quite as sleek as the PSP though
  10. I use Norton Antivirus 2004. I have no idea what you guys are talking about "resource hog" becuase I just checked and it's using less than 2mb or RAM, and less than 1% of my CPU (I only have a 1.2GHz processor). It scans slowly because it scans deeper. I agree it's inadequate at fixing problems, because it tells me where the file is and I can delete or quarenteen it myself. I tried Mcafee one time and I hated it. Different programs produce different results on different computers, so one antivirus definately doesn't fit all. I have a four way going on: Norton Antivirus 2005, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-aware Personal Edition, and ZoneAlarm Firewall. Three out of four of those are free (the exception being, of course, Norton). I can't give any suggestions because I know that an antivirus that works perfect for me, might not work for you / on your computer. I would try all the free ones until you find one you like. If you don't find one you like, then you have to make a decision to buy which ever commercial antivirus you think sounds the best. Also check the features on the antivirus's website.
  11. Woops, that was supposed to say dragon ball z...
  12. I used to watch ************ back in the day... I acually used to tape every episode! However, times have changed...
  13. The sites pretty cool, but the navigation is horrible... I'm sorry to say that, but I'm just trying to give honest feedback. It's nothing personal Overall it's a good / decent site.
  14. Absolutely amazing... I've always wanted to be a pixel artist, but I'm no good :)Great job
  15. I'm not a newbie to more advanced tools and utilities, but I found an odd problem. I am using Firefox 1.0.3 (latest version as of this post) and I have a 384kb/s cable internet connection: loads the average page within a second. The Xisto server responds to my ping in an average of 70 seconds, but it seems to load extremely slowly like traffic-heavy sites that can't handle it respond. Xisto has loaded slowly since the day I came here. It's not that bad, but it does get quite annoying sometimes. So, what is going on with Xisto?
  16. I know HTML pretty good, and I know javascript decent. I think I want to make a text-only game, and I want to know what people would like in a game or what type of game to make. If the game would require me to learn PHP, then I could probably get into it a little bit, but not too much. Any suggestions?
  17. The creators of the systems normally aren't the ones that "make" the games. Although, it is true that if a system is out longer, game designers are able to create games that can better utilize the system's capabilities. I myself will buy a Playstation 3 a few months after it comes out just because I probably won't have enough money at release I don't own a Gamecube or Xbox and I don't plan on purchasing either of them. I also don't plan on purchasing the Xbox 360 when it comes out.
  18. Oh I forgot to say: good luck in college, architecture, and the rest of your life.
  19. Although I hardly knew you, farewell! Keep running when you can
  20. The best (and only surefire) way to protect yourself from messenger viruses is to ask your friends what it is BEFORE you download it, or (even better) never download files with the extensions .exe .pif .bat or .com
  21. Those replacement shells don't look very stable, and I don't personally like the look of any of them really... While there is definately much wrong with Windows XP, there is nothing wrong with the shell
  22. That's awesome! Keep it up. I hope Xisto uses it for the Army System logo.
  23. Thanks a lot. It seems to make pages load a lot faster for me.
  24. Can anyone give me a link to a site with code for an invisible counter, or just the code in here? I don't want it for anything other than to optimize my page for everyone.
  25. I second that. They would probably do their little invite dealio and it would probably be like half a year before I could get my hands on one though... still, though. And they would probably go out of control with like a gigabyte of storage... Google is just too good. My exact thoughts when I first read this topic. Even after Yahoo's upgrade, they're STILL being doubled by Google's Gmail. And Gmail is counting up as we speak. 2099.5MB as of this moment. I also like Gmail's features much more than Yahoo's. There are no flash or image ads in Gmail, only Google's ultra-relevent AdSense ads, so they acually match the email you're getting. Archiving, searching, pop3 and smtp, etc. P.S. Walla already had 1GB for as long as I've known about them now, and I've heard there are a few others.
