  1. seen a hundred people infected by it if thats the one im thinking ...
  2. lol me and some friends found an exploit in msn messenger 7 already in your screen name paste a lot of 'return' character. when you hover the cursor over the nick, messenger crashes! no wonder microsoft made msn ...
  3. it needs to be far from the traditional rpgs. it needs a great ost, new equipment, new abilities (im tired of seing summoners/black mages/white mages/etc using Fire, Lightning and Ice abilities)... and the main character shouldnt be a goody-goody (reason I dislike FFX :/) .... guess thats it heh
  4. Thanks to you both for replying Well .. I did a mass debug of the script and found that the problem I was looking for was not there lol. open(READ,"<logs.txt") or die "Could not connect to database.";while (<READ>) { $s = $_; print "<br> $s"; };the $s was being written to logs.txt in separate lines (as plain text), but since the other script (logs.pl) prints $s in a HTML page, it never line break'd. Also ... the <br> inside this line messed up the first script posted above: $value =~ s/%([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])<br>/pack("C", hex($1))/eg; Thanks again.
  5. first of all get K-lite codec pack as snlildude87 said. If you still have problems, change your default media player. I had to do that... the picture froze but the sound went on. Then switched to BSPlayer and till this day I've had no problems so far.
  6. 4 Best Games:1) PS2: Shadow Hearts 2 (RPG) - Played it. Finished it and already wanting to play it all over again from the beggining. Mark my words: a must-have.2) PS2: Devil May Cry (Action/Adventure) - Rockstar-looking dude with swords and guns killing demons. A must-have.3) PS2: Manhunt (Action/Adventure?) - One of a kind serial killing game. When I bought it I had to show my ID to prove I was 18 (same thing with state of emergency but that one sucked) ... I leave the rest to your imagination.4) SNES: Final Fantasy 3 (also known as FF6) (RPG) - One of the best of the Final Fantasy series. A classic must-have.
  7. *cough* Kmart *cough* declared bankruptcy *cough* a few years ago closing around 50% of the stores over here (Puerto Rico) and they recently bought Sears, a bigger chain of stores.
  8. Very useful indeed ... By the way, I am thinking about making a multicharacter RPG engine for IRC, based on mIRC Scripting. If you wish to give me ideas or just to test the script, email me evilmod-at-gmail-dot-com or send me a private message. Thanks in advance people
  9. MSN's latest update is a total Yahoo! Messenger's rip. D/l'ed it last night, 10 minutes later it was being uninstalled. When I opened the Winks menu it froze instantly (it was the official release btw). I do not know what happened and dont care either, it sucks. I'd rather send emails to my friends than wasting time with it, or just use IRC.
  10. Im sort of new with perl and I know the basics. Lemme paste the code ... #!/usr/bin/perl -wif ($ENV{'REQUEST_METHOD'} eq 'POST') { read(STDIN, $buffer, $ENV{'CONTENT_LENGTH'}); @pairs = split(/&/, $buffer); foreach $pair (@pairs) { ($name, $value) = split(/=/, $pair); $value =~ tr/+/ /; $value =~ s/%([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])<br>/pack("C", hex($1))/eg; $FORM{$name} = $value; } open (QUOTE, '>>logs.txt'); print QUOTE "<center>$FORM{quote}<br><br>\n\n"; print QUOTE "<hr width=20%></center><br><br>\n\n"; close (QUOTE); &thx;}else { &error;} I have no problems with the subs .... I just want to end every line of text with a <br>. I have another perl script that reads the whole logs.txt file and pastes it into a HTML page. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance ...
  11. Man ... That trick is sooooo old and still people fall for it EVERY DAY and its alarming.... someone should start a REAL (sorry aol) campaign against these viruses/trojans/etc.
  12. Worst thing said... or done?If it was said .... I cant say anything about it because when Im mad at somebody I usually hit them (if they're bigger than me) or I throw something at them. I remember ... lol ... once, I got my grandpa's hammer and hit the heck outta my aunts car. That was 5 years ago and she is still waiting for me to pay the damages ... lol wooo
  13. They're both the same! In gmail most usernames are taken, same with yahoo ! mail. Same thing with the search engine. Google used to own Yahoo! but now, when youre searching for something, use yahoo then google and look... they both have the same links/pages.
  14. He was a great man indeed. No, it didnt affect me cuz I was expecting his death months ago, when he first went to the hospital. I have no affiliations with any religion but I did respect him for what he did. He never approved war, abortion among many other things.
  15. Im sorry I cant help you with the norton internet security because I have not tested it yet, but try to find a feature to unblock 'firefox.exe' forever (like an exception list or something like that). Basically you are trying to upgrade your browser and norton doesnt want you to. Dont even worry about being new mate we're here to help.
  16. That is why I dont use antivirus anymore (Yes, I dont). I still remember the last time my pc ran an antivirus ... lol ... norton detected a virus inside mIRC's (popular IRC Client) log files. Soon after this, I found out what was the so-called virus, a private message saying "BlingBlingBling". My point is that some (can I use 'most'?) antiviruses find viruses/trojans/worms/etc inside your pc but actually its clean! I still find hilarious Lavasoft's Adware's scanner. "This file is a possible browser hijack attempt: about:blank". Just to be sure, if your antivirus says you're infected with something, go to a free online virus scan (I recommend TrendMicro's and not Panda's). You know... 2 opinions are better than one. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
  17. Awesome graphics. I have never played game series. What is it about? lol sorry for my ignorance ... Im curious!
  18. that is exactly my point, total customization. You just need the right place to buy stuff, the money to buy them, the skills and the patience. Thats all.
  19. Looks like that site is currently under maintenance ... too bad I was just curious ... by the way shivap24 ... I agree with you ... but not that I have something against you or anything.... mind the caps mate ... most people over the internet hate that. I personally dont but most do
  20. I agree 100% with you round. guangian thank god thats just $2. Ive seen domains on sale at $500 .... ouch....
  21. Yup .... it works ... Im on 56k and it loads a bit faster now. Thanks *goes to his email inbox to see a 5mins page load up in 2 1/2mins*.
  22. Maybe your Privacy Settings inside Internet Options is set too high? I try to avoid that by setting it to Medium. Or could be your firewall too. Around a year ago I used a ZoneAlarm that wiped IE's cookies veeeeery often... it was annoying >_<
  23. Theres another way of getting rid of that, not installing SP2 or typing shutdown -a ...Open the Start Menu > Run .. > type "services.msc"In that list find the "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" item. Right click > Properties > 'Recovery' tabIn First, Second and Subsequent Failures choose "Restart the service". Apply and you're done.Note: I cant recommend this method with the LSASS bug/exploit. I tried it already but Windows started acting funny. Keep your firewall on for this one.
  24. My top 4:1) Video Game Programming of RPGs2) Network Administrator3) Computer Technician4) Software engineerYES I know they're all computer-based. But oh well... everyone uses PC these days
  25. Windows XP Home Edition is a LOT slower than the Professional Edition. My old PC was an Intel Celeron 950MHz 112mb ram (16mb for video ram). When it ran under home edition, I had to wait around 3 to 4 seconds for menus to show up. But when it ran under pro edition, they popped up inmmediately. Everything else is the same.
