  1. To accomplish your first goal of making a part of the flower into a link, you have three options: Option one (and this is the option I would choose), you could create what is called an "image map" by inserting a little bit of html into your page. <map name="flower"><area shape="circle" coords="130,114,29" href="iframecontent.html" target="iframename"></map> In the above code, "130" is the x-position (horizontal) of the center of the circle (in pixels), and "114" is the y-position (vertical). "29" refers to the width of the radius. If you have Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Imageready, or a comparable html/image editing program, the program will do most of the work for you. For more another page on image maps, see this page. Option two depends on the use of slices. Imageready and Fireworks will cut your image into rectangular slices. They are saved as individual images which are put together as one image. All you have to do is give the link slice a URL and then take the code provided by the image-editing program. Often, designers prefer to cut up their images to make them load faster. Option three is probably what you are inquiring about. You could position the yellow circle image on top of the larger image and make the small image into a link. There are a lot of ways this can go wrong, so I'd recommend you go with my first method, but here's how you could do it. Since you know about absolute positioning, I would assume you know how to place the small image right where you want it on top of the large image. To add a link, the code would look something like this: <a href="iframecontent.html" target="iframename"><img src="flower.jpg" style="position: absolute; left: 235px; top: 78"></a> Now this only leaves the matter of putting up an iframe. If you need any assistance with that, just reply. Good luck.
  2. It seems to me that the variants should be closely related enough to set off the same heuristic antivirus software. If this is true, then all these variants don't really pose much more a threat than traditional viruses.
  3. You could add a script that displays a random quote whenever the page is loaded.Or you could create a javascript that serves up a different version of the same page whenever it is loaded.Or you could just make the background orange and augment the font to 96 pixels high. That would be unique.
  4. I don't have a high definition television, so I'd prefer not to pay for the extra feature.
  5. The only one on your list with whom I am familiar is J-Live. I really like him. Here are some of my favorite not-so-mainstream hip-hop artists:Del the Funkee Homosapien [of Gorillaz fame]Jurassic 5Quarashi [they're Icelandic!]Handsome Boy Modeling SchoolLatryx
  6. Flying cars have existed for much longer than you all realize. Several years ago I saw a documentary on one of those TV channels owned by Discovery which featured a vehicle which could fly like an airplane with its wings extended, and drive like a car with its wings folded. I believe it was a turboprop. It wasn't as nearly decked out with gadgets as this new vehicle seems to be, but it is essentially the same thing.
  7. This is the last significant image I ever produced with Paint. After that, I moved on to Photoshop 7 and then CS. I think this image proves that I was finally ready to move on.
  8. Why do you capitalize every word? Your posts look like really long Christian rock album titles.

  10. Wow, this thread has reached 14 pages of people saying the same things. Way to go, guys! If we work hard, maybe we'll get to 20!
  11. How very arbitrary. You're implying that faith is somehow better than knowledge. I think you rely too much on the semantic value of the word "faith". It has positive connotations, and yet it is defined by the absence of evidence. Faith is not a personal strength, it is foolishness. To say that a god does not reveal itself because it wants its believers to believe without evidence is a childish solution to the obvious question of "If there is a god, then why is there no proof?" If the god insists on faith alone, then how do we ever hear about the god in the first place? Surely the god must have revealed itself to someone in unequivocal form, thus providing definite proof to at least one person. Is it fair that some people have proof, and the rest of us must use faith alone? Isn't it more likely that those few people who "witnessed" god are perhaps... I don't know... making it up? Whether or not any of the major religions accurately describe the spiritual realm is a foregone conclusion (except those which do not mention gods). Clearly, popular human conceptions of god are utterly flawed. I'm not saying that gods do not exist. But if they do, they certainly don't act the way humans portay them.
  12. They didn't pay $9.00. They paid $9 and 1/3. The error comes when you say that by giving each man $1, that their share is $9. That's mixing subtraction with division. In keeping $2, the boy effectively lowers the price of the radio to $28. Now supposing he gave the men $1.66 each, as was their due, they would only be missing a cent a cent at the end, on account of the repeating decimals. I'm afraid my explanation wasn't the most lucid, but I lack the mathematical lexicon to describe such problems in-depth. I seem to recall Snopes writing about this, if you care to look through the archive.
  13. I use Sygate Firewall. It pops up a window whenever something unapproved is trying to access the internet. The personal version is free.
  14. This is a description of wowexec.exe. According to the site, it handles 16-bit processes. I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject, but it seems to me that you must be using some old 16-bit programs which keep calling up this program. Are you using any 16-bit programs?
  15. According to Wikipedia: Of course, there's always whitewashing of history when it comes to genocide, but the general consensus is that Ratzinger wasn't ecstatic about National Socialism. But my previous point remains; popes are just ordinary men. Would he be any more righteous if he had refused enrollment outright? Well, yeah, but he'd likely be dead. Or he at least would have been miserable for several years. Give the guy a break.
  16. I think Milk is referring to the site description he provided when he first applied for web hosting here.I don't think it matters, unless the boys upstairs find something objectionable about your new content. That's just my guess.
  17. Perhaps you are simply projecting your own sensitivity to criticism upon djluki.
  18. It sounds like you guys could benefit from the Official God FAQ.
  19. Mean? I told him the site looked good aside from one image. Is that mean?
  20. First off, I live a half an hour away from the city limits. That's a half an hour minimum between my friends and myself.Secondly, the roads are one lane in each direction. This wouldn't be much of a problem if rural drivers weren't total idiots. I almost had a head-on collision with one guy because he was trying to pass another guy while approaching a hill. But I almost prefer the reckless idiots over the slow old people who drive much slower than the speed limit. One is almost compelled to become a reckless idiot when stuck behind these people.Furthermore, Internet Service Providers, telephone services, and cable companies become very scarce as you leave the cities. You wouldn't think I'd miss caller ID, but I do.Who moves to the country, anyways? People looking to avoid attention. My neighbors are acting suspiciously... I wonder, what's their secret? Also, I almost hit my cat last night. No street lights. How very rustic and romantic it must seem to live out in the country. I'd take the city any day.
  21. I'm more concerned with the genetic consequences of introducing cloned animals into their respective populations. I don't know about the specifics of the Tasmanian Tiger, but if the population is very small, then this could lead to a very small gene pool. The best way to go about cloning these animals would be to only make a clone or two of each original, and spread them out as best they can. If they only made clones of one tiger, inbreeding would likely create many mutant specimens that die young. Genetic diversity is really necessary when trying to revive a dying species.
  22. Two comments:You post the time at the top of the page?I assume that visitors to your site already have the time displayed on their computers, so it seems completely unnecessary. Also, your PHP Nuke icon looks like a sack of crap. Was this icon originally designed to be used with a white background? A little more attention in an image-editing program will improve the aesthetic quality of the image immensely.Other than that, the page looks pretty good.
  23. This process is cyclical? It doesn't happen anymore? Excuse me, sir... do you know anything about the theory of evolution?
