  1. without a doubt the pes franchise is the best soccer games out there. I used to be a big fifa fan until i got my hands on pes. (or winning eleven as its also called). The controls are actually responsive and it feels like your actually playing a free game (instead of a scripted mess unlike some other games out there.) That said, not all the teams are liscenced, but at least we have the in game editor, and our imaginations.
  2. that ie page looks a bit too suspicious. It was probably just a template provided by microsoft... i hope. No one could plagerize that badly and get away with...could they???
  3. i barely remember a time when i was without google. I must have been pretty young. (too lazy to calculate actual age). I remember using yahoo and askjeeves until my uncle told me that google was much better. I didnt listen to him (after all, yahoo was my home page, my email inbox and news source (or maybe it wasnt, i cant remember). now i dont use anything besides google.... I still remember though, the first few weeks of using askjeeves i would always ask a question, till i realized it was pointless
  4. as an atheist living in america (arguably the most religious country in the world) and born in india (1 billion or so hindus....nuff said) it doesnt really bother me that people are religious. Sure, I do believe that religion is illogical in whatever form its in, and i would like to see it completely abolished. But it really isnt such a big deal to me, do what you want, its your life. The problem with me is when religion starts affecting public policy. In America it really does, people here just dont seem to notice it because it has become such a part of the mainstream. Of course I realize that ted haggart and bill oreilly dont speak for all christians, but the policies implemented by the government are unabashedly non secular. (And may i remind you what your founding fathers intended for their new state). I do like to debate about religion, in fact its one of my hobbies, but i do not believe in forcing others to think the way i do. I like having intelligent debates about the subject. As for atheists being smug, sure there are some people who go a bit overboard but I can assure you the number of overboard atheists in america does not begin to match up with the overboard christians (its more of a numbers game here). So in summary, lets all mind our own business
  5. Make sure you condition your hair after applying that powder stuff. And every time you shampoo as well. I had dandruff some time ago, comes back once in a while but not that much. One thing you should try to do (reccomended by my old doctor) is alternate the shampoos you use. One day use selsun and the next time head and shoulders. Make sure you message it with some pressure into your scalp. Who knows, the dandruff may be some kind of allergic reaction so you might want to check that out.
  6. looks like you got plenty of relevant answers, but let me just say this. As an Ubuntu user I am extremely pleased. When i first downloaded it i didnt know anything about the terminal or how to use it (fortunately now i've had a bit of practice). On my desktop everything (cept my lexmark printer) works right out of the box. And fortunately most of the software that cant run on ubuntu has an open source counterpart. My only major problem has been with my dell laptop. The wireless wont work (I have a broadcom chip). I got it to work once, but now its unoperational. Other than that i encourage you to try it.It is free after all.
  7. Interesting stuff. While learning english a lot of attention isnt drawn to details such as this. But during learning hindi and korean i've realized many other languages really emphasize exactly where the tongue is supposed to be etc.
  8. haha, I didnt even notice the soldier the first few times. Only the boots and the face gave him away. Now all we need to do is get more sofas on the battlefield
  9. would be a decent message. The unfortunate thing in America is that the countries administration and leaders are actually trying to capitalize on such a tragedy. (See Rudy Guliani's presidential campaign and much more noticably bush and cheney's ware on Iraq). I'm not sure that all americans are aware of what truly happened. As for this tragedy bringing everyone together, i believe it did for the first few weeks afterwards but eventually led to more partisanship in the country.
  10. City : Minneapolis (I actually live in brooklyn park, which is a suburb about 15 minutes away, close enough)Country : United StatesSpecialties : The mall of America is pretty close by downtown. Other than that it is just a nice city to walk around in.Population : about 3.5 million
  11. People call me crazy for this, but I really liked final fantasy X. Something just struck with that game, although it was quite a while ago. Knights of the old republic was pretty good (it only lasted about 2 hours for me as my computer decided it would stop working after that). Elder Scrolls oblivion was pretty good as well
  12. I haven't played it yet, looks like a pretty cool game. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe its a first person shooter . Still, i'm looking forward to it when i have time to play it. I heard there was a pretty bad problem with the hacking minigame in that game though.
  13. hey, i go to the university of minnesota. Its a great school and i like it a lot. Im a sophmore (technically i'm still in highschool). Havent decided my major yet. I should probably decide soon though. Some times it seems over crowded though. (i just dont like crowds i guess). In the summer it was pretty good, just me and a fraction of the normal amount of students.
  14. what exactly are affiliates? I would also like to know what kind of revenue can be made with adsense... And really besides google or yahoo, are there any "hidden gems" of web advertising that anyone is aware of?
  15. I was wondering if you could clarify something for me, I am a big newb when it comes to the web. I was wondering about domain names. Are there any domain names that you dont have to buy? (ie free). And how exactly do you implement them into your webpage? If you do have a subdomain as you would if you were doing free hosting on this site, can you upgrade to a top level domain later? Any other clarification on this matter would be very helpful.thanks
  16. on that same note (sort of). Does google put a limit on the number of ads (that are not google) that you can have on your website. Not that you would want to litter your sites with advertisements or anything
  17. I thought it was pretty interesting. I have been reading a lot about adsense these last few days, and I have to agree, it does seem like the community based websites generate the most traffic. (look at youtube, wikipedia, digg haha.)
