Replying to Xboxgamer1200,23419,153550] What happened was when I was 6 I was at school in the bathroom when I saw a coin under a stall. I checked to see if any one was in it by looking under,[the door was locked] nope no one there. So as I crawled under I grabbed the coin came up and hit my head on the bottom of the metal toilet paper cover .It had spikes to cut the paper. So I said "ow" and my friend shouted your bleeding I looked in the mirror and saw my head was bleeding like crazy. Then I felt pain.As I went back to my first grade class crying, and as soon as I walked in my whole class screamed[i'm suprised I didn't go def that day]I went to the hospital waited 2 hours bleeding. Then they shaved my head around the cut and glued it.It became a scab instantly. What Is The Main Difference Between Religions?
iGuest replied to heavensounds's topic in General Discussion
Wow! there are a great deal of opinions and facts thrown at me and all are very intresting.Wakelim, you sound very informed and probably a person who spends some time researching your thoughts before jumping to conclusions. I too seek the truth and have found many religons to be very similar, but what I don't understand is why someone chooses to be Protestant versus Catholic? they are practically identical with some variations in Service/Mass.How about Christianity Vs Presbyterian again to very similar looks from hind sight. Perhaps I'm missing something?I seem to enjoy my time with Muslim friends as much as my time with Jewish or Christian friends. They all seem to enjoy my company and yet a sit on the fence(Agnostic) when it comes to God.One thing is very true about religon in my opinion, is its importantce in creating law and morality out of most of the worlds population and for now that is what I am thankfull for. -reply by Tyler -
System Does Not Detect Dvd/cdrom Drive
iGuest replied to master_bacarra's topic in Hardware Workshop
Can System Does Not Detect Dvd/cdrom Drive I lost my CD/DVD drives after installing Windows updates in Vista along with multiple other problems as well (warnings, color problems, freezing, installation failures)- all systems and both combo drives had been working perfectly with no new software other than Windows and HP pc updates. I tried multiple viable options you may consider: I tried restoring the computer to a week it worked; I tried updating the device drivers in the device manager but it came back as 'drivers up to date' and working with no rollback options; I tried uninstalling the devices completely and reinstalling them in the device manager; I tried a full system repair in my pc tools; I went to the RAID Controller manufacturer's site to update that (see your dvd connections in the device manager 'view'); I searched for DVD hardware driver updates and patches; I tried recovering the original drivers through the recovery module; I even tried a complete pc recovery twice. The complete recovery worked until I got to the final few Windows updates and printer installations and then I was back at square one, which narrowed it down for me. I've been struggling for over a week on the this issue in Vista with no luck regardless of effort for my DVD/CD combo drives, but have two ideas that may help someone: 1. I lost my card readers at the same time and was able to recover them by going to my device manager and uninstalling all my USB root hubs along with all the problem drivers at one time. After restart, a lot of my other problems disappeared as well, but not the DVD drives (they weren't USB connected). I've seen lots of USB issues in my search so gave it a try - this may work if you have a USB connection to your DVD drives. 2. While restoring and updating in little pieces, I found that the problems didn't come up with the Windows updates until after the Windows updates were installed and I began installing my printers and related photo and graphics programs. One of the ArcSoft programs had a patch specifically for disappearing DVD drives at http://www.arcsoft.com/support/downloads/download_patches/vista.Asp. You may want to see if you are running any of their listed programs that the patch is for or check your graphics/photo programs for patches. The listed ArcSoft programs included PhotoImpression 5/6, VideoImpression 2, ShowBiz DVD 2, Slide Show Maker, TotalMedia, Picture Saver, QuickDVD, G DATA VideoStudio 2006 Pro, ADS MediaTV, NTI DVD Player, and Ego Backup. That was just for their patch, but there may be more out there. I suspect there may have been a tweaking of a cross-platform Windows files affecting compatability. Hope that helps someone out there! - kjsacramento -

Replying to hotdog55Well In my school people have found afew ways past it. (but they have now been fixed.I don't fully know this one as I only found it out just before it was fixed. Google "what's my IP address" and go on a site which will give you your IP. Then you have to type in you Ip in the adress bar. I don't know if there is anything else you need to do as I never tested it but lots of my friends used it and it worked fine. Please note this was only on XP not vista so that might effect it.They fixed it by filtering all the IP addresses.-------------------------------This second method get's rid of the "teacher viewing screen" where they can watch you. Go onto ms word and type afew letters. Then press cntrl alt delete and log off. Now the "do you want to save changes" box will come up. Press cancel. Now if it has worked the system will see you as logged off but you won't be. Teachers will see you as logged off and usually don't question it. (althought hey started getting suspicious how every time I was in IT my I was seen as logged off. They fixed this by stopping the internet working whenever you clicked log off. So it still works, but not withy the internet.-reply by Henry

TeamSpeak vs. Ventrilo Teamspeak 2 Vs Ventrilo Even though its been a while since anyone has posted on this thread. I figured id throw my 2 cents in (since I did a search, found this page, prolly means someone else will find it later on down the road). I run TeamSpeak & Ventrilo both. Our clan uses Ventrilo for Primary voice communications, and TeamSpeak as seconday/back-up comms. If you want a real quick over-view as too which one to use, well here you go. Ventrilo: Pro's: Great sound quality Easy to create channels & setup users Integrated chat room, users can post comments / urls with easy access Admin side is realy simple to work with Users can post global & private messages Cons: $$$$$$ If you want to run your own "Private" Ventrilo server, it has a max. Cap of only 8 connections. (Only 8 people can be connected at a time), If you want more, you have to "rent" a server from a hosting company, OR work for a large company that is willing to buy a min. Of 1000 slots. (According to Vents web site, you have have to submit proof that your company exists). TeamsSpeak 2: Pros: Very little bandwidth / memory / processor usage Web Based Server Admin config tool Very easy to add new members and assign admin rights Simple to create channels and sub-channels Users can post global & private messages Cons: Voice quality is a LITTLE less than Ventrilo. Doesn't have Channel / User Phonetic's -- --(doesn't say the users name when they login unlike Ventrilo) Doesn't have the integrated chat room like Ventrio Doesn't have cross channel transmitting Server Side Pro's / Cons: Ventrilo pros: Easy to install Easy to configure Able to be added as a Service Cons: Capped out at 8 connections max. TeamsSpeak: Pros: Has a very useful Admin Web interface (in-case your server gets hacked) Very little system usage Cons: Does not come with a "Service" installer. You have to manually run the server program each time. *Or, you can do what I did, and do a google search on how to "Create a service in windows", in which case, it takes about 3 minutes to setup TeamSpeak to work as a service. Not really sure why they didnt include a service installer...But whatever. Processor / Memory / Bandwidth Usage: I just want to put this out there, I don't care what you read or where you read it at. The programs themselves use very little system processing power. It depends on what settings you have the programs set at, the computer your running them on, and the internet thats available. The higher the voice quality, the more power its going to take for the computer to process everyone talking. If you are wanting to run a server from your house using a cable modem or dsl connection, your going to run in to lag *sounds choppy when people talk*. The more people you have connected to your server, the more internet bandwidth your going to use. If its just you and a friend talking it wont be so bad, if its you and a friend talking well your playing an on-line game, you may start to hear your friend breaking up a little bit. The more people in your server, and the more stuff your internet is doing, the more choppy its going to get. Doesn't matter which program you use, there both going to do the same thing. If you want to try and run a server, heres a word of advice. 1) Get a dedicated computer with nothing installed on it but either TeamSpeak or Ventrilo. 2) Make sure the computer meets the min. Requirments to run that program. (If thers going to be lots of people, don't use the min. Requirements, up it to the recemendend at least) 3). MAKE SURE YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION HAS A HIGH UPLOAD SPEED (NOT DOWNLOAD.) 1.5mb through a cable modem means roughly 400kbs in real life. This is NOT going to work with when you get over 3 people connected and you start playing games online... Alright, I'm tired of typing, hope this info was useful to someone out there. Peace. -reply by Cyberspy

I'm 41, I've had 4 serious girlfriends, lasting between 2 years to six years, I've been married 4 years then it was annulled and I'm engaged to be married by December. I don't think that makes me an expert on love, but after 41 years, I think I've formed an opinion.Signs of a crush:1. You obsess over a person (think about him/her all the time).2. Your feelings yo-yo when you hear/feel/see/experience something about her. (She greeted you, you feel high. She ignores you, you feel crushed). Some indications of love: (not sure-fire, but it increases the probability it's real)1. You would sacrifice for her (do things for her, lay your life for her, even NOT BE WITH HER if it would contribute to her happiness.)2. If you are married or in a relationship, you are still together till you are very, very old.3. Love, true love, I believe, does not involve emotions. After a year, the thrill of marriage is gone, then you might argue more often, you might settle into routine and take each other for granted, that's when your love will be tested. It NEVER gets easy. True love is hard work.4. True love isn't what you feel, it's what you do. You would be nice to her even if you're really depressed. You would say she looks nice even if she looks like the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt. You would dress differently, lower the toilet seat after using it, and use your knife and fork properly if it makes her happy. And that's how it is, if she loves you too, that's her goal, to make you happy too, and she'd do little sacrifices for you too.5. True love isn't happiness all the time, because of these tests and little arguments and problems, but you can rely on her or she can rely on you to want to stick together and work it out.One of the most romantic stories I've ever read is "The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry. I think the short story sums up everything I've said. You can read it here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/search/ another one from the film "Adaptation" (2002) with Nicolas Cage:Charlie Kaufman: There was this time in high school. I was watching you out the library window. You were talking to Sarah Marsh.Donald Kaufman: Oh, God. I was so in love with her.Charlie Kaufman: I know. And you were flirting with her. And she was being really sweet to you.Donald Kaufman: I remember that.Charlie Kaufman: Then, when you walked away, she started making fun of you with Kim Canetti. And it was like they were laughing at *me*. You didn't know at all. You seemed so happy.Donald Kaufman: I knew. I heard them.Charlie Kaufman: How come you looked so happy?Donald Kaufman: I loved Sarah, Charles. It was mine, that love. I owned it. Even Sarah didn't have the right to take it away. I can love whoever I want.Charlie Kaufman: But she thought you were pathetic.Donald Kaufman: That was her business, not mine. You are what you love, not what loves you. That's what I decided a long time ago. So, I hope that helps. Good luck.-reply by quentintarantado

replying to ur questions Need Advice! Replying to saloni_2 There is an attraction between both of you, and maybe for him is just a mental attraction, You need to give him time to think about who he is and what he wants with you! Time is a blessing and space is needed tell him what you have decided and that your giving him space and take the time for yourself to find if hes really the man for you. If he comes back then its a positive thing, and if not then it was hes decision and you can know that you gave it all you can give. Men don't like pressure and lots of questions so take it slowly, he obviously has underlying issues time will only tell. Good luck -reply by Trude

Have You Ever Lied Online? Tell me why people would lie online
iGuest replied to velma's topic in General Discussion
I wanted to seem talented so I grabed a google image photo and said I had made the project myself. I lost friends I had been close to online since 2004. Now thay all think I am stupid and they wonder if I told any other lies.I was called out before the group when a Mod posted the photo and the real link and asked how that was possible. I logged off and never went back. Now I plan to change my phone number and not tell them the next time I move. I wanted to get more invloved and I shut myself out. If there was a way I would say sorry and take a rank cut and stay in touch with those friends but I am not holding my breath for such an offer.-reply by LostBunnie -
Ferentus Ferentus I remember when it was in v1. Kinda cheap graphics, no quests, way too many people sitting around as a self-made store. Still, it was a fun game. The skill leveling system was definitely nice. Later v2 came out and I was very much impressed with the improved graphics. The addition of quests was good. The map changed significantly, but even so, you still had a sense of being in the same world. Too bad something happened to it. I'm not sure it would have competed strongly with WoW, but I think that if it could have stayed as free play once it went live, it would have been a Guild Wars killer. The free play aspect would definitely put it in close competition with WoW. -reply by MooMan
