how to change your clearwire mtu setting from your xbox 360Need Help Changing MTU Settings For XBoxI have a simlar problem. When I do the test the xbox 360 says that I do not have the right mtu setting but see I'm not running a router of any sort all I have is a broad band clearwire thingy and I need help trying to change the mtu setting from my xbox 360 dashboard? p.S. sad ipod iconWindows Not Recognizing IpodI got a ipod classic(monochrome one). When I switch it on it shows the sad ipod icon . This situation continues...Uninterrupted...That is until WE come along and make the "stupid" mistake of re-installing our operating system...On the "Main Drive", either by a "repair install" or a "reformat and clean install". It turns out to BE that 'stupid mistake' because we don't realise (and I doubt that even Microsoft realises!) that the re-installation of the operating system WIPES ALL MEMORY...ALL KNOWLEDGE of that ALL-IMPORTANT "Master-to-Slave, Drive Geometry Relationship", so, just like a "new kid on the block"...Your lovely clean, fresh and super fast NEW operating system has no idea about that "other" Hard Drive in there...Nor what to do about it/with it! The "geometry" was originally set-up BY the previous Windows installation and with the NEW installation...That , as I said...ALL IMPORTANT "geometry" is lost!! I will keep searching for a "definitive" answer to this VERY annoying problem and if I find one, I will post it for all to see (if possible!?) on the internet! I said 'definitive' because thereARE actually some, shall we call them "answers"...Out there...But they are "guesses" at BEST and some of them actually do more harm thangood I have discovered! Let us ALL make a "Pact": If anyone DOES find a "definitive" answer...Write to Microsoft and TELL them that they need to address this in the "Support" area of their website! The whole sick idea that tech support should generate revenue was the start of its downfall. The expectation that there should be no free help out of warranty is just what I am talking about. Back in the 90s, I did TS for a major PC (not Dell) and we would help anyone. Warranty only referred to PARTS REPLACEMENT. Remember warranty is not a contract of service but a time frame that manufacturers choose to guarantee the HARDWARE will work. Who is to blame, honestly its the cheapskate whiney people who want everything to be cheap. That is why most new products are garbage. Until we start to get it in America that cheap=crap we will continue to see jobs go overseas.
