Not take a color photo, desaturate it and then erase portions of the photo. I want to "tint" some of the areas but so far..No luck on finding the answer from anyone. Its about worthless tv stationsPick Your Own ChannelsI was just thinking about how nice it would be to be able to pick your own channels and found this site. So here goes. I am pretty accustomed to what channels I watch all the time and thats about 50 channels out of 200 I get. It boils down to the worthless channels that nobody watches would not be on the air if it wasnt made mandatory by being included into the package. Every time I turn around a channel I may have watched has been removed and replaced with a worthless channel that I would rather turn off the TV than watch. Now I understand that maybe my taste in TV may be different than somebody elses but why should I pay for channels that I never watch. I would just about guarantee half the channels in your package wouldn't be there much longer if people could choose. For example, I have Dish Network, which in order for them to give you a selection they could make custom Dish Cards for each individual. If DISH for instance would do something to this effect their customer satisfaction and the actual number of people signing up would increase. Like another guy posted above make the public announcement channels mandatory but far as the leisure channels go that should be your choice. Americans love choice. Now WHY have the Providers not figured this out. HMMM...Makes you wonder. -reply by Clint

In the options settings on how to save a doc. You can change the .Odt default to .Doc Just go to options and save settings and change your default there. Then all your word docs will be saved and the .Doc windows standard and thus will be readable by all windows PC's -reply by John

CMOS Battery replaced, still a checksum error.Help :: CMOS Checksum Error!Okay, so this all started last night-I went to use my computer when I noticed the monitor wasn't receiving a signal. I then hard shut down and rebooted to see a "CMOS Checksum Bad" error, but no Date/Time error. I hit F2 to load default values and continue, not a big deal since I wasn't overclocking anything. The computer loads the system temperatures screen (as is normal) and proceeds to load windows. Windows enters my user and my desktop background loads. At this point I'm breathing a sigh of relief thinking it just fixed itself. However, just as soon as my desktop loads, the screen goes blank again, monitor receiving no signal (this was about 35s after start up). I hard reboot again to find the same error as before, this time I enter the BIOS to check everything. After about 20s of looking through the BIOS the screen goes blank yet again. I hard reboot again and this time the screen goes blank after only 5-10 seconds. Confused, I start searching the net on another computer to see what was wrong. The next time I started the computer, it allowed me about 30-35s of time before it blank screened. Again this interval decreased by about 10 seconds each consecutive start unless I let it sit for about 5minutes.(sounds like a weak battery right?) After reading dozens of forums like this one, and other sites regarding the Checksum error I tried the two things most recommended: A proper restart through the BIOS and replacing the CMOS battery. As you may have guessed from reading the title, neither of these two options worked. I then moved to resetting the CMOS by means of switching the closed pins on the motherboard. After following the motherboard's manual to the letter, I once again started the computer. To my dismay the same problem persists. I'm at my wits end here as I don't think this is a hardware issue. The computer seems to run perfectly well when the BIOS isn't telling it to die. Are there any steps I'm missing or anything else you would recommend trying? The computer is only 8 months old, the motherboard is a Biostar TF720 A2+ and I've checked some of the other hardware (RAM/ HD / PS) on my other computer which uses the exact same parts for everything and they work perfectly. same thing happened to me,I had seen the $12 taken out of my acct but I had thought not much of it because I have a joint account with my husband and thought maybe it was something he had been purchasing.Well thank God I asked him and he had NO idea what that was.Plus when you click on info on my bank statement online it says my name and card number.I called reservation rewards and at first just asked for a cancellation.Than when I started doing some research and seen how much money I had been out I called back and demanded a refund,and surprisingly they did with no problem.I got all my money back a couple days later..So when they say they will refund you they will.At least with me they did! no legit company would ever just be giving everyone their refund back just because!they know what they are doing is wrong and are trying to get everyone to shut thier mouths by giving them the money.I am so happy I caught it,I just feel bad that so many other people out there are getting scammed and wont catch it like we did! if this happens to you get YOUR MONEY BACK.Don't settle for the 6 months that they give you if they were taking more than those 6 months!what they are doing is wrong and for FANDANGO AND ORBITZ and ALL the other websites who supports RESERVATION REWARD they should not be allowed to get away with it! -reply by alexis

well they have a thing called twisted stomach.And a lot of you are describing what the dog is going through.It is a asp thing.Need to be taken care of.They can do surgery.Some times a little at a time it happens then goes back to normal.So the doctors don't catch it.But there will be that one time that it won't go back and the dog will die if not taking care of.I use pepto bismal. Windows new version 2009 sucks ! I am basically cut off from my mail account now because it won't let me sign in unless I install their ****ty update. I did it twice. The first time it mysteriously latched itself onto firefox which proceeded to inform me everytime I clicked on my shiny new email inbox, that I couldn't use the email function (the whole purpose of having a mssenger account) because my cookies weren't set to allow, which in fact they WERE! So I uninstalled everything and deleted the firefox program and tried again this time with just Internet explorer whooooooo...Same thing! Nice shiny new useless widow with all the cute little graphic design upgrades but this time when I clicked my email inbox which had 37 messages, it wouldn't do anything. So, click click click...Forever and all I have is four email accounts that messenger in its infinite wisdom has denied me access to all because they7made a stupid piece of **** that doesn't do anything except allow you to set your background or myriad other useless functions... I'm basically screwed now. Messenger pops up everytime I try to sign in on the older 8.1.0178.00 version and tells me I MUST install the piece of **** 2009 version... Sorry for the colourful language but I'm mad as hell and I don't have any idea what to do. I'm going to lose all my contacts!! BTW the email address I had to type in the box above is one of the now inaccessible ones

No way Gimp is better than photoshop. Gimp is a good program for learning basics, but when you wanna go higher, if you aim a professional life, then adobe will provide you with the best tool. Yes it costs a lot, but for a reason. Its a professional tool. Reliability and excellent file handling surpass what corel can do. someone who say he uses Gimp for work will simply be laughed at. Ive been working in graphic design and illustration, and trsut me, there is no Gimp in a serious and professional company. As for Corel, well... Old school graphic designers still use it, but when it comes to printing and sending files to a printshop, Corel is a risky choice, and it will bring frustration the graphists who receive a job made in this program. I wont argue on Corel's tool proffessionalism, but Adobe evolved so much with the CS serie that it's now ridiculous to compare this tool with another one. Also, EVERY time I receive files made in corel from a customer, I always have to rework it for a couple of reasons: color handling is bad, there is always corruption or color mismatches when it goes out of our printers. File formats tend to be bogus, and 2 of our high end printers have problem ripping files made with corel. Another thing to mention is document sizes. I don't know why, but the document we receive are never the appropriate size ! You want a banner that has 32'' by 144'', but the corel file gives you 31.898'' x 143.800''. WTH The only solution is to try to import it in illustrator or photoshop (or even indesign) and remake an eps out of it. Seriously, save yourself the hassle and work professionaly with adobe. You can do a lot of things with Corel , some with Gimp, but if you designing is you daylife work, then forget these 2 and get the right tool. If you wanna toy around at home, then I suggest Gimp since its free, or Corel since its cheaper. I totally agree, adobe suite costs a lot, but what you can achieve with this is far beyond what you will ever do in another program. how to get rid of all contactsMsn Contacts RemovalJust been searching around online how to get rid of my 300+ contacts and it was all very complicated.. But going on hotmail.Com and selecting all your contacts and pressing the delete button on your keyboard works. It might take a while but it was really quick and easy for me. I don't know about blocking and deleting though, unfortunately. But if you're like me and just wanted to delete them all so you can't talk to them then you're sorted. (I spent too much time on msn talking to people and now I really must focus on my university work)

I had to buy a new computer and of course it came with WindowsVista. I had no knowledge of Windows Vista, therefore did not know how much I would hate it. Trying to get around is horrible. Try to find out how to fix something is worse. I can't copy and paste anything from Works into my e-mail. People can't open my attachments when I send from Works. Since I paid for this system, is there a way to get Microsoft to give me back my XP and get rid of Windows Vista? Why should I have to pay so much money for another system when it was not my fault that it was on my computer. Some people try to make things better and only make them worse - case in point - Windows Vista.
