Bashing .NET because its not portable outside of Windows is just stupid and really shows who is the middle schooler trying to learn to program. Language should be dependent on the context in which you develop. If you plan on your project being crossplatform picking .NET might be stupid while Java or C++ would be the better choice. But if your developing a desktop application for say windows and windows alone then not picking .NET would be pure stupidity unless you have some requirements demanding you don't use .NET. If you plan on maintaining mainframe code at banks COBOL will properly get your further then Java, C++ and C# combined. Just my 2 cents. And yeah a final year student asking what language to use? Hello my dear friends.I have Maxtor-Diamond Max20 (80GB)Hard Disk.I have try to Install Windows XP and i let it to Format during the Windows Installation.But it was taken long time(6 hours)for formatting 3%.Hence i have cancel the installation and try to format it using another machine.In this case this hard disk is not showing in the "My computer" but when booting it is detected and also it is showing at Bios setup menu.I need to format this hard disk's 'C' Partition and other 2 partition having valuable data. Replace a null value with dataEmpty vs NullMy data base has a table with emails that are generated off a form page. However, I loaded some information into my data base for testing and did not put the emails in those entries. I am try to select the emails with null values and then run the php script to generate the email and replace it in the table. Normally the script I wrote pulls the information from an html form. I need it to select the blank emails, then take the last, first, middle associated with them to process or generate the email and insert or replace it with that.I've tried several things and can only bits and pieces to clue me in on how to do this.Any assistance or lesson on the differences with what I'm asking would be ever so helpful. -question by krazeekat

I have Comcast internet and I bought the cheapest D-Link wireless modem that was available at Office Depot and it took me about 3 minutes to hook it up and it works throughout my entire house, all my PCs and my Wii....no problem and it is password protected. Seriously, I followed the easy hookup page and was up and running in no time. The Comcast guy said to go out and buy a wireless, doesn't matter....have you tried yours? Also, my friend who works for Comcast now tells me that they give you wireless routers for free now???

sure you can make sure the contact you want 100% deleted is on your contact and friend list and unblocked, then go to your profile page, click on friends, (sometimes it takes a few moments for them to show up on the list so don't worry) click on their address next to their pic, it should look like their profile page, there is a little tab that says delete on the page you might have to look for it, Click delete, this contact is now ADIOS 100%. You will not see them on any list you have anywhere

Windows 7 claims to have 32-bit compatibility for games and the like. In practice they do not, requiring a re-purchase of your games via gog.Com in order to play anything. If I'd known 7 was going to be this much trouble I would have gone to Linux and WiNE. At least with that I know I can eventually play my games once I figure out how to configure it.

Okay, so I ordered some hosting using MyCents order went all ok, but then while I was waiting for my account to be activated I got an email saying that they are unable to accept my order because my asta warning was 1 and that if I was to change me Asta warning to 0 they would activate my account. I am unsure weather they mean the warning on my account, If so how can I get it set to 0? Or are they meaning something else?
