I think we would benefit from the chat room. It would releave the amount of support requests because its pretty quick to say a solution to something in the chat room.

I Think that mandrake and Fedora Core 3 are really easy but I have yet to try SuSe or knoppix.

I think that Dell would be good for a laptop. Since they are a windows laptop and that makes it better as far a software support.

We use SE T230 and we also use a Terminator dongle and software to upgrade the software and os of the phone this allows us to upgrade unlock or lock any SE phone. We do not have unlock codes we use a hardware interface like the manufacturer.Tom

I would have to say that building your own is the best because that way it will meet the exact specifications that you need it to and some times it can even be cheaper. Voodoo computers are pretty good too but they are fairly expensive.

ASLO iPod battery only lasts like 1 year (i saw it on shame on u) -- Mike (Just realized! My 50th post! YAY!) Why not use iTunes? It is a fantastic Media player and the AAC encoding used by the iTMS has been shown to have better sound quality than WMA encoding used by other stores. In addition you can mount the iPod Shuffle as a disk and just drag your music files to it if you don't want to use iTunes. My iPod is much older than a year and still holds a 12 hour charge.

I recently purchased a second hand ex gov surplus laptop computer. It is know faster than my desktop machines which are getting on.I have noticed in my years of servicing laptops that some of the earlier compaq laptop computers in Australia had heat sensor problems and kept shutting down before the system had even finished checking bootup functions.
