    Guests!

Hi, I would just like to ask what the url will be?
  2. I had some the same problem at my school, but I wasn't trying to login to cpanel. I was trying to login to the administration section of my XOOPS website. I originally tried loging in with my free domain, which didn't work, but when I used the given sub-domain everything worked fine. Thats rather odd...
  3. This thread has a real strange title, with a real obvious answer. Answer=thats why robots are called robots and humans are called humans.
  4. I realy don't like runescape. I don't know why, I was just never interested in it. I guess I like games that get to the point or end quickly. These games that go on an on....and on in a never ending adventure tend to bother me. Not to mention, It didn't play well on my computer. By the way, is that blue man group I see in your avatar?
  5. Great advice, but you forgot to mention that he is going to need an FTP manager like Smart FTP. Its almost impossible to do it with the file manager that comes with Cpanel. By the way, consider trying XOOPS instead of phpnuke. Its much better!
  6. I don't know the answer to that question, but if you're are planning on using phpnuke to make your site, you might want to consider using something else. Phpnuke is used by everyone! Even with different themes, all phpnuke sites look the same. Not to mention, phpnuke takes up alot of space and will take for ever to load for people with slow internet connections. Note everyone has dsl, broadband, or T1. Phpnuke isn't very secure either. Sure, its more secure than phpnuke platnium, but its still not very hacker proof. I assume thats why Xisto uses an IPB forum. Most people like a phpBB board, but Invision Power is a heck of alot more secure.
  7. So i should go and buy "visual c++ for dummies"(are you insulting me? I guess ill buy it, thx for the help
  8. Yeah I have tought of it, and i might buy a book, but there the problem off finding one, is most of them good???The only one I've ever seen in a store was called "c++ programming for dummies" know anything of that ???And I downloaded a compiler yesterday, it's called "Bloodshed Dev-C++"
  9. Ok so as you all know my posts got closed (2 of them mind you) for "bad" language. Or for "taking an issue up with another forums member, without informing an admin first about my problem"....Below is the Pinned:Read First section located at the top of the subforum list, which you see as soon as you enter "The Vent""The Vent is a place for members to have a yell about whatever they want. This forum may contain high-impact explicit language, controversial discussions, and other such content that some members might find offensive and/or disagreeable. Please be aware that anything goes in this forum (within reason), so expect to be offended. If you have an issue with something that another member has posted here and want to take it up with them, then by all means go ahead."What bothers me about this, is that even though I did use the so called "explicit language" it was covered by the bad word filter, and for some reason my post was closed anyways. While I understand the admins are doing there job, and I respect the fact that this is a large site, and it takes a lot of attention...I do not feel it was just.I read the rules, I followed the guidlines, I payed attention, and I re-read everything in my post before submitting....If this is "The Vent", why do I need to conceal myself?
  10. IF anyone wants a nike anti racism wristband, 100% official, go to // link dead //

  12. Unfortunately I haven't encountered a tutorial on the web that is capable of teaching what is really needed, which is knowing general programming terms and being able to fully reflect answers, rather than actual programming. If you understand a bit of C++, then you should be able to tell me what 'a' is in this statement:int a = 10;Unfortunately the answers I hear from this are never correct in sense of general programming explanation but rather the end result. The answer I would accept would be along the lines of:'a' is the name we gave to an object with a data type of int that holds the decimal value of 10.What this is saying is, 'a' is a label on the box, the box being the object having it's own storage space (where it resides in memory), has enough room to store an integer (integer size is machine/processor dependant so I couldn't say what size it is) as well as knowing it's data type is an integer (what it is allowed to store), what's inside the box is the decimal value 10.If I ever came across a tutorial as such though, I would point many to it. If I had time to write such an indepth tutorial like what I'm suggesting, I would, but it's really time consuming and I doubt I could find the time to do so, but it would be good if terms and explanations are straightened out before the actual programming commences.I might just write up a short reference explaining general terms and meanings in C/C++ as I believe this will help beginners to advanced programmers. There are few tutorials on the web though, but I don't highly recommend them, but they are worth the read none the less.Bruce Eckels Thinking in C++ I think found at bruceeckel.com if not I suggest searching on google for it.Then there's sites like cplusplus.com, cprogramming.com, gamedev.net.Cheers,MC
  13. This is amazing. Seriously amazing. He closed my post because... Notice from NilsC:I don't tolerate this kind of language or behavior. Post is closed.Alright, so I'm not gonna use bad words (even though the ones that were used in the former post, were bleeped)It states specifically in the subforum-description of The Vent, that you are more than likely going to be offended, going to be upset, and going to be angry or oppose in opinion, to what other people say on here. However, how can that be possible if we're not allowed to talk about whatever we want. No where in the rules does it say what we can and can't talk about, and I was not bashing the guy, so that can't be used against me, I was simply stating how I felt about him giving me negative rep.I'm not going to ask an admin to fix a point scale that I don't care about. If I cared about it, I'd take the 10 minute time frame to fill out the stupid little complaint thing and send away, but no. I don't want to. I'd rather post about it.I've clearly read the rules approximately 4 times now, and I can verify, that I have broken approximately 0 of them. Therefore I do not believe that my post was justified in being closed.
  14. Notice from NilsC: As I said, I don't tolerate this kind of language, even if you ment it in a good way.

  17. Ok smart *bottom*, then if the monkeys changed into humans over time back then, how come the cycle doesn't happen anymore?Answer that one. Sorry, I just find it amusing that the theory of evolution annoys you....Maybe god evolved from a monkey?? DUN DUN DUNIt's like how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?...The world may never know.
  18. Life could be worse, you could be using a Macintosh...you know, to be a genius, Bill Gates sure did make *BLEEP* computers.
  19. Yeah of coz i've done that, but there are so many different, and they all have different stuff, WHAT IS THE RIGHT?????
  20. I am going to learn c++, but before i start, i want to know that i learn it from the right place, so any good webistes with c++ tutorial, as good as possible, dont care if it's complicated
  21. However, you're not good with spelling.
  22. You just wasted time making a thread, about how much you don't care....pat yourselves on the back.
