  1. Pyramid scams, email scams, they're everywhere >_< So annoying I swear. They seem so legit and all, but if you take the time to inspect on it, you'll notice what kind of system they're running, and that you're just another victim in those schemes. I really don't like how they make each one usually so positive when it's really not. Like those playstation portable ones, they seem very legit and easy to get, but thing is, it's just too easy to get. I rather go into some contest that lets you win it on a circumstance of a contest rule that costs nothing, than these pyramid schemes.
  2. I think it all depends on the user. I mean not everyone who's good at computers actually know how to use Linux at all. Same otherwise, that some who use Linux don't understand some of the very basics of normal windows and etcetra. One of my old computer teacher's teacher was so good at Linux things, he can practically do whatever programs he want to make given the time. When he tried to do some basic things on the normal windows, it actually took him awhile to know what was what XDAnyways, I think that Main Streaming it wouldn't really help at all. As many will stick with Windows and Mac, I don't really see much in advancements. It's just something that reaches it's limits during this time of a generation.
  3. Hey. I came across this site looking for webhosting. Thirty posts for 150MB of space seems fair to me (correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway, I'm from Washington state, and I like playing computer games such as Counter-Strike, WoW, and a couple others. I hope to enjoy my stay
  4. I'm wondering if this might in anyways affect and help me if I have broadband? Cause I can't tell if it's faster or not on mine haha. I hope it doesn't make it slower, that would be bad, but it seems it's just doing nothing I guess to hurt or help. I don't know, broadband's hard to tell unless it's a very heavy site with lots of images and stuff that would take at least 30 seconds to load or something if it was there.
  5. That's some pretty good stuff. I found myself trying to do one of those some time ago. I had a problem with the shading but you did it just like I wanted to. I think the Ryu one looks very nice, but it's slightly too contrasted in my opinion. Overall it's a very nice job you did on it, and it looks cooler if it was just a plain picture of him.As for the 1st one, that was pretty cool too. It kinda made it look like he's popping out for some reason, kinda like 3d or something I guess It fits well in my book and I can say it's nicely done as well. Keep up the good work, as I can't keep up with it if I tried making it myself again >_<
  6. Yes, very interesting. Personally I would say following up by various google searches that the actul work can be interprited BOTH "crunk" and "krunk". Depending where you come from
  7. I basically just use my Playstation Portable for my music. More convenient for me too. I don't like the IPod, yes it does let you hold more than a PSP, but that's all it can do mainly. Play music. I want something that's worth the 200-300 price tag and the PSP covered it nicely. I can listen to lots of my music with the compression that can hardly tell it was used, and play games on the go if I want to. The only problem with the PSP is I have to buy an accessory that protects the screen when I bring it along. Only 15 bucks though so no hurt there on the wallet. It's probably just the way you think you'll be doing mainly. If you're no gamer, and like lots of music to choose from, IPod is the choice. If you want something that can do some music and lots of gaming, get a Playstation Portable
  8. Yeah... Ezboard.com is very lousy and super extra slooow...
  9. My computer usually takes about 5 min to shutdown if I just click on shutdown and leave the computer. zzz... There will be alot of popupsshowing programs that 'freezed up' and asking if I want to End Now, or return to windows and check on it zzz...
  10. What about uploading images to Gmail using a program called Gmail Drive? Lol.Btw, Gmail now has about 2.6 GB of storage. Find out more about it at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you need an invite, I have 100 of them. Just email me atruijie.tan[at]gmail[dot]com
  11. My favourite game is Age of Mythology made by Microsoft. It lets you use god powers and you can use lightning to strike the enemy or use metor shower to hit the enemy troops.

  13. I prefer Gmail. 2GB is more than enough to me even if I don't delete any emails I have. I don't need 30 GB of space. Now I have about 100 invites to Gmail. If you need one of them, email me at ruijie.tan[at]gmail[dot]com
  14. I think it was a smart move. Most parents are always talking about AOL and how it's so great, thought hey don't know what great is until they meet some company with broadband connection of course Now that when people see AOL, they'll think of the google site even more. Most people nowadays don't say, go search for it on a search engine. Now they say, go google it. Quite common, and AOL will surely benefit from it too from being part of google.
  15. I bought a Microsoft Game called Age of Mythology and I think it is better than Age of Empires. In Age of Mythology, you can use god powers and much more than Age of Empires.
  16. Erm... I have about 100 invites and I don't need them so if you want a gmail invite, email me at ruijie.tan[at]gmail[dot]com
  17. I would prefer Habbo Hotel as I already have played Habbo for a long time and have collected some furniture and I have a lot of friends in habbohotel.
  18. Which country's hotel do you play in? I play in Habbo Hotel SG.
  19. I don't think Socom's on a different system :/There's one for the PSP, that's the closest to a different system than the Playstation 2 at the moment. I also don't think there are any plays of bringing the Socom games to something like XBox. It's a great game and all, just they don't want to go to a multiplatform system like that.
  20. I'm gonna have to go with Gran Turismo 4 for the Playstation 2. It's just amazing how it looks for a Playstation 2 game. There are much more cars compared to the previous Gran Turismo and it's just... amazing. Also, this is the first PS2 game that can use the 1080i support, not a single other game can use it I believe. I think that this really was the come back that Gran Turismo was looking for almost, just it came slightly too late as the systems are getting ready to go to a new generation with the XBox 360 and Playstation 3.Forza was an amazing game too. I was suprised at how great it played out compared to the one before. I think that game also was a great hit, but was slighly less than Gran Turismo 4 in my opinion. Both are great games, both have a great system used to show these great abilities. I hope they continue to dish out and make another sequel for us gamers
  21. Just reading people's views/opinions on IE7 and I think some are false.XHTML support, IE7 doesn't support application/xhtml+xml which is the mime-type for XHTML, they do however claim that it can do XHTML using text/html but what limitations would that bring us, speaking to the developer for this reason revealed that to do so would mean rewriting their HTML parser (though I questioned why it wasn't their XML Parser) to work with it, and since being so close to being released, they can't do this.I do look forward to IE7 though, it's improvements on HTML 4.01 and CSS1 and CSS2 would be beneficial but is it enough? The long awaited IE7 does not help a lot of the web designers/developers since they are still far behind. Being the major browser, it's quite a sad thing really, technology use to be implemented quickly during the browser wars, when W3C stepped in, technology for it stalled. IE5 to IE6 did not have any significant changes, really.Hopefully, plugins can be created for IE7 to work with existing technology, else there's a lot we will miss out on. I am sure no one can wait another 4-8 years for their next browser version. Why the slow improvements, it's not the developers fault, if they had it their way, they would work with standards and improve on this, but it's the ones who pull the strings, that are in charged and a lot of it has been focusing on security and making sure it's included in Windows Vista.I do hope IE7 aids with web designing and web development though, if it's not supporting current standards, at least it'll be supporting most used standards, but I'm sure they're the ones who are slowing that transition down because of this.Cheers,MC
