Just got a new gateway GT5630E last months and first thing I did was reinstalled windows because my control panel window and some other programs as well wouldn't work so I installed a fresh copy without getting the trial softwares and hopefully get all those programs running again. Got all my drivers back to normal and the software I want but my control panel wouldn't still go up as well as those certain programs.Been questioning if its the hardware doing it or the OS system...also thinking of just buying an internal hard-drive and install Windows XP in it.To anyone thinking of buying a new desktop or laptop, DON'T get Vista at all...it just plainly sucks and you'll probably encounter problems more severe than this. Just get XP....besides, Vienna is coming out in 2010 but have a feeling it might turn into another Vista problem again...just not so much though...hopefully-Mazda RX-78

I have Norton 360 installed on a machine with Intel core to duo and 2GB memory with Windows XP pro. It takes about 3/4 minutes to start PC up and I have strong suspicions against Norton 360 for this. When PC runs I don't really have any issues with speed, but then again - as said before - I don't know how this PC runs without Norton, so might just be used to it...Remco-Remco

Question: I always copied dvd's/cd's on the fly with nero and no problems ever. Since 4 weeks nero copies the dvd and said burned "successfuly" However when I put the copy in the reader windows gives the message "this dvd has files that are unknown to windows and the dvd player can not read the dvd and said unknown file format and also I can not read what is on it. Changed burner and dvd player but same result. Other versions of Nero gave the same message and other burn programm as well. What els can I do ? Use XP and all service packs etc thanks |Paul-Paul

ServerPh method works fine to me but when I am following the Jim flicker method.It is not working, Just before sending the pics in the mail, it seems they add the photos but when receiving not finding the pics and even in the sent mails it is not showing any pics

I need to create a batch file to force a shut down on some servers. Once the shutdown is run, then I need to ping for the server name until it comes up timed out or unreachable, then send me an email informing that this is complete. Anyone have any thoughts?-crzyjim

I think pda should be limited somewhat. I think that holding hands and hugging is okay, but the kissing part I can see why they don't want that because there is a lot of people who are ugly and your getting ready to eat and you see ugly people kissing its nasty. Not all pda is bad. but some yes I agree. but people are taking it to far, teachers and everybody else, my mom agrees that pda should be gone but honestly whats wrong with people holding hands or hugging??
