Steve, I would say you have landed up at at the best place. Xisto is a place where you can learn things, Just not technically but on a whole you can get to learn many things. Here you have Mods who are generally kind, at times rude to correct you ( Spare the rod spoil the child is applicable ). The Admin over here is a cool person and this is not a flattery.One thing i really admired in Xisto for all these years of stay over here is that, they really respect every one here . It is not that you are a Newbie and you are ignored. Every one over here in Xisto is respected. The conduct of the forum is commendable. I have been in many other forums and all that i see is foul words round the corner. Here you neednt worry, the mods/ admin will take care of all those guys who express their emotions with foul words. More over i would personally tell you not to get disturbed if the mods/ admin warns you at times. You learn a lot out of those warnings. I would say i initially before 3 years thought i can never get a good grip over the form culture because i am not meant for that. But the warns i got thought me many leasons.So i wish that you will have a pleasant stay over here in Xisto . This is a place where you learn and make others learn. For example i get to know you are a Sport Geek and you love foot ball, so you can make others learn about that etc. and this will make you have a feel that you have shared something to others and that will make you really happy.On the other hand,just imagine you want to see some feature on Xisto , its so simple, all you need is to raise it. I am very sure that withing 24 hrs one of the mods/ admin will check out and the feature or anything which you have wished, if it is worth then you will see it here on Xisto within few days.Once again Welcome Steve !! have a rocking time over here with Xisto !!

Here in Xisto many of us are stuck up here if we have nothing else to do. On the other hand at times when we are busy we spend least amount of time coming over here and reading the posts and everything. Now there might be situations where some one cannot come over to Xisto for a month or so. He might go for some training outside, or for some vacation. For example say, i need to leave for a 46 days training from next monday. In that case i wont be able to access Xisto and be active. In such a situation i just dont want to create an idea among people over here that i might have left Xisto once for all. In such a situation each one cannot be creating seperate topics under Real Life sub forum.If there was a sub forum by name "Vacation Note" Every one who are under situations as explained above can just leave a note over there. This may help people over here to get to know each other more and more and have a healthy relation between Trap users. If there was a sub forum like that, definetly it needs to be visible only to members and not to guests. People will be given an oppurtunity of expressing their vacation ideas and how long they are gonna go etc. By doing so they will keep other Trap members informed that they have not left Xisto once for all but they have gone out due to some work. And by doing so other Xisto members can give their suggestion on that particular vacation note if they are familiar with the area in which the note has been made. Eg. If i make a note that for next 46 days i am going for a training on Main Frames, so i wont get much time to be on Xisto. In such a case the one who is skilled in Main Frames will give me ideas on how to go about. Else if i leave a note like i am going to Goa(Tourist place in India) for 10 days, then the one who has visited Goa already can give his suggestion about how to go about and so on.So i personally find it worth that if something like a "Vacation Note" Sub forum is created in Xisto it might be benifitial for many users

I am very sure that many of us would have come across this CAPTCHA which Google uses. The time when you signup for a google account you are forced to use this CAPTCHA. This CAPTCHA is really good as it keeps away spammers and Bots. On the other hand the CAPTCHA which google uses is kinda tough i would say.At times Google confuses me , i think for myself am i a Bot or a human. The words displayed in Google Captcha are so confusing at times such that only dinosaurs can read them. Why is that they have kept it in this way ?? CAPTCHA in a simple form wont it be enough. For example if you visit XISTO website, there in Domain checker we have a CAPTCHA to keep away Bots. That CAPTCHA is kinda so easy and it serves the purpose. When some thing like this ( the one XISTO uses ) is there why does google go for some confusing texts and confuse the users ??

Still now i dont find that Google Checkout is not that famous. Though it has been more than a year it has been launched Google Checkout remains unknown to many people, i dont know the reason behind this. For instance just see, here in XISTO too we have, transfer funds to MyCents account from paypal, why not from Google Checkout ? Is it that no one accepts Google Checkout ? or is it something like every one is used to paypal and none wants to quit that ? none want to have a change ? Which means Google has to frame some other strategies to make people migrate from Paypal to Google checkout. I dont know what offer will attract the world, but i am sure that all Indians will migrate to it, if Google says , there will be a 10$ free cash on google checkout for every sign up. If this is announced every indian will go to Google Checkout, but the problem over here is every one will go creating multiple accounts in Google checkout ..lol

yup i do agree that Idol worship is wrong, the Bible clearly instructs us not to do that, The Bible clearly tells us that we shall not make for ourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. This is a commandment given to us. Here Canadians worship that Inukshuk, the olympic symbol ? Yeah it is definetly an idol worship. But on the other hand i want to add some thing along with this . In this world having an Inukshuk or any stone and bowing before that alone is not an Idol. Having anything in our heart which takes the place of God then it is an Idol !! Eg. at times for some his girl friend may be his idol because he has given place for her in the place of God. So Idol cannot be categorized to stones alone but also to things as mentioned above. But now in America i dont know why it is like that we openly call stars as Idols ? Is it for name, fame and popularity ?? I have come across this term "so and so is an American Idol" which means many worship him ?? because he is a star ?? Yeah America has no more stars, we call them Idols !

Talking about the various Computer Security Issues & Exploits let me put forth a simple question to all the Computer Geeks. Lets consider you use a particular System (Some thing like a service provider, hereafter reffered as system) and in that system while you use it you find a big security exploit which when exploited can result in a loss of thousands of dollars for that company. One will get to know that there exists such an exploit once he had tried that exploit now. At this point if the person who found that exploit uses that vulnerablity and checks for various possiblity and he confirms that it is a serious exploit which has to be dealt with. Now he can do many things, go and publicize that and become famous, or use for his personal use or can report to the concerned authorities of that company from which that product or system has been released. So now that if he is ethical enough he is gonna report to that company. In this case he has already violated the Policy of the company by exploiting the security hole but he had reported about that to the company. On the other hand without exploiting the security hole he cannot confirm that there exists such a vulnerablity. On the other hand i term it as without violating the policy of the company he cannot check that the exploit which he smells is really an exploit or not. Now that he had done it and reported to the company.Now the company does not respond at all after intimating them several times about the same. Now is the User who found the exploit can be busted under law ? because he had exploited the security hole though he has informed the company ?? The confusing issue here will be what if the company to which he reported dont get back for all the intimation that he has made ?? I personally feel that this means the company is trying to figure out the exploit by itself. So in such a situation what is to be done. A normal user finds an exploit, confirms it by testing that, he reports to the company but gets no reply. The user is tempted to check that exploit again and again to check whether it is fixed and he sends intimation to the company again and again. But no response. What should be done ??

One more day is comes to an end. Indeed it was a hectic day. At last I stepped into to my home. Sitting on my bean chair exhausted and with my eyes closed my mind wandered here and these. I was grumbling within me. The pressures of work, deadlines to meet, peer pressure, a home to take care of... All these were pulling me down. I felt that I need to take a break. Yes I wanted to run away from all these maddening works. I thought about my school days. O those golden days!! No pressures, no worries. Just go to school, enjoy and come back. Life was too good. But suddenly it struck me that when I was in school I used to think ?How good it would be when I grow up. No school, no scolding, independent.?But now... What is happening? Why has things turned up this way? It was my dream to become a software professional. I used to admire people cladded in professional manner stepping up from buildings which are much higher than what your eyes can reach. Yup I toiled day and night. Studied hard. Earned scholarships. Earned degrees after another. Worked hard. Now I am a CEO of a software company employing 750 people. People call you ? successful?. But somewhere down the line have I missed something?Suddenly an incident came to my mind. An incident that happened that morning. I had bought a burger from a shop nearby as I had no time to cook. I tasted it. Yuck!!! How can people ever eat it? I threw it in the dustbin nearby and I started to walk. Then suddenly a girl turned up. She digged the dust bin. Then she took out the burger that I had thrown and began to eat it. There was greed in her eyes. Yes the for food. On seeing the burger her eyes were filled with joy. Guilt caught me. Things I have taken for granted!!!I woke up and I was a new leaf with my mind renewed. I realized that I have a million things that I have to be thankful about. Yes now I began to thank God about the things I had grumbled. I was reminded of the words that my mom taught me? ?When you are down, when you feel like complaining?think about the people who are less previlaged than you and thank God for the goodness and mercy He has showered upon you.?

But i personally feel if it does not require much technical effort for the Coding Geeks of Xisto then it can be given a try. ya you are right, but let me put it like, when we type some thing in the forum, let it be reply or fast reply or we starting a new topic, when we type.. automatically the editor is configured with spell check and the wrong spellings are displayed. So here too if some one wants a spell check for the content he types,very well he can open Word and paste his contents there and can check for the spelling mistakes including grammatical mistakes. But still for the ease of the forum members its added into forums as an additional feature, like wise there may be a little icon flashing in their taskbar which is waiting to read any text that the user selects, but still if it is added to a forum then it is an additional feature

@ anwii lol, and yeah i get it i should have thrown the point at first and then the explaination what ever thanks for your recognition. If this feature of Text-To-Speech for all posts are introduced in Xisto i find it will be really good but with one disadvantage. That is there is a possibility that Xisto members will go lazy after pressing the play button of every post .. he he he ..

Sleep is something which one love it when he has nothing else to do, on the other hand if some one is gonna feel sleepy when he or she has some important work to do, at that time they dont love that sleep. Rather they will start to curse, 'Oh.. No I am feeling sleepy' . Let me be practical, for a student who does not have anything to do the next day and if he feels sleepy happily he will go and hit his bed, on the other hand, if there is an exam the next day and the previous night if the student has a lots to study then obviously if he feels sleepy he wont be happy with it .Thus at times if you feel sleepy you will be happy and at times if you feel sleepy you will grumble over it

Hello every one. I am sure every one here who reads this topic are members of not just Xisto but many other forums available today. Either there may be people who jump from forum to forum or they just remain active in multiple forums. After having a look at so many forums i personally feel that Xisto is unique in its own way. When i say unique in its own way, two things may strike each one of us. One, it has an excellent team of mods and a stable admin ( at times these mods are strict too i know ) who keep spammers away and who make every user understand how to use a forum and what are the benifits out of it. In short they help to make some one "get it right" what a forum is and how it works. At time in the initial stages some people (like me) learn it only after getting multiple warnings .The second thing that is highly noticed and commended about Xisto is the reward that they offer for its members. Though this is there in some other forums in various forms, here the My Cents provided is with a difference. The difference is that they are not much hard to earn nor they are easy too. The things that can be done with these MyCents are really commendable. For all computer Geeks who wanna have a hosting account, Private domain, static IP address etc. i would say XISTO is the best place. Its not because it is linked with Xisto but on the other hand XISTO my itself is one the best hosting provider . I really admire customer support team of XISTO. This is the state of XistoNow, having such a good reputation, why cant Xisto go for something else which no other forum has(as far as my knowledge is concerned). If it has something totally different than other forums then it can add a tag to its name "A forum with a difference". What ever may be, talking practically what can be the difference that Xisto can make. I have a suggestion / proposal for trap 17( Hopefully if this is a kind of new Xisto can try implementing and can go for patenting this suggestion so that none other forums copy this new feature : And if so i guess the mod once he reads this has to lock the below contents till Xisto implements it because some other forum may implement it before)In my recent topic replies i had read complaints and many often I and we must have felt that the explanation of the topic is too big to read. I cannot categorize this as laziness. But one the other hand in my previous Topics some had arguments saying if the explanation is not that big how can one express his ideas ?Now there need to be a solution for this. Xisto can be the Solution maker for this problem and i am very sure Xisto has enough technical Geeks who cam accomplish the suggestion which i am gonna make.Lets consider a topic which some one is very much interested in. But on the other hand if he opens the topic the post is too long and probably the person though he is interested in the topic he dont want to read the post because it is lengthy. So he closes and leaves. The Suggestion : Now just think what if Xisto introduces a new feature "Read this Post for me" , let me say that there is an extra speaker symboled button for each post. I can compare it with the online pronunciation dictionaries. They have a word and a speaker symbol near that. If you press it the word is read for you. Similarly why not Xisto introduce some Text-to-speech feature and embed that in this forum. So that for each post that feature is available and one can just press that button " Read this post for me" and he hears it read out in his speaker. And in this case he gets what he wants. The Posts can not only be read but can also be heard. As far as my knowledge is considered no other forum has this feature in it. If Xisto introduces this i am very sure many will copy it, so Xisto can very well patent* that particular feature for forums [*Hopefully it gives me a share ~ Indian Brains]But just imagine Xisto with this additional feature, it can really boast about itself then !! It will Rock on !! Best of Luck Xisto. And if this feature is already there in some forum ( im kinda sure it is not ) then why not Xisto introduce it in its forums.

Okay, some one put it in a nut shell please, Using paypal is it advisable or not in India ? I am planning to get a credit card and link it with pay pal and use it . Now reading all these stuffs i doubt that i may end up in some confusion ? Can i go for it or not ? On the other hand i really dont understand why pay pal does so. As far as my knowedge is concerned there are some pay pal offices too in India, I mean Development Center. Still why pay pal does so ?

@ mahesh , ICICI debit cards are not accepted by paypal in India, Pay pal accepts only Credit cards. And ya thanks i am aware of the risk involved if i try to use a virtual credit card.

Well i feel proud to be an Indian, Bu on the other hand if i ponder over this a questions strikes my mind, Will India be the one which it is today if it had not been in the Hands of the British. Let me put it clear with an simple example of the Indian Railways.The Indian railways is the second largest railway network in the world. The whole world looks upon the Indian Railway system. There are several reasons behind this. First is that India is not a very big country but still the population is huge. The railway system in India is said to have the maximum utilization. ( By maximum utilization i mean, the Railway system is using the infrastructure available to the maximum. )The key highlight in the indian railways is that it is spread over less region( i mean the geographical size of india ) but has the maximum utilization. Indian railways is split into various zones, starting from the south its it souther railways,Konkan railways and so on. Indian Railways has undergone some remarkable changes in recent past. There was once a period where the railways was running at a heavy loss. That was the time when Mr. Lalu Prasad, Former Minister of Railways took charge. When he took charge it is said that the railways was under a heavy loss. This is simply because the public in India did not use the Railways, rather they chose roadways. The main reason behind this was the cost. Though Railways was running under a heavy loss when he took charge, the cost of the service was much more lowered that it was. This attracted the public and then the public started to use the railways and gradually it came out of its loss. Now that the railway is one of the major revenue generating market for the Govt of India. Now my simple question to all Indians is that we are aware that the British introduced railways in india when they had ruled our country. If Britishers had not introduced railways in india , would India have Railways today ?? Or would it have been a dream still ??? I personally acknowledge the remarkable changes which has taken place after 1947, but still , if they had not introduces railways will India have one by now ?? I would not say Yes, but i feel there is a possibility that India might not have one if Britishers had not introduced. They just did not lay rails in plains. The Ooty Railway, its the railway which is laid over the hills. And even today there are certain places in India which dont have railway facility just because of their hilly terrain. So i personally will Thank the Britishers for introducing the Indian Railways when they were ruling India .

yea you got it kinda right, But let me put it very clearly . I have sent my documents to paypal and they have verified the identity. So now i can make fund transfer to another account. But i am not able to shop or transfer to XISTO because the account has not been verified with credit card. I tried using all debit cards but it fails. So i am just waiting whether i can get the paypall acc name of XISTO so that i can transfer to them directly and get that in my My Cents account :DI dont think OpaQue will give me his paypal account ID just like that so that i can transfer it to him

I was just wondering why is it that none in Xisto opened up a topic about Google Buzz and i saw this . Google Buzz is really cool, but now that i wonder how Google is gonna maintain its reputation of calling itself to be innovative, Every one will agree with me that Buzz of google is a kind of copy from Twitter and Face book in concept wise and in name wise, Buzz term is copied from yahoo messenger and i am very sure that every one will agree with me. what ever it is Buzz is too cool and it is something pleasant for the eyes of all google lovers.

I strongly feel that it is not necessary. Because the problem over here in this issue is that if Andra is divided then all the other states also will start asking for a division. The concept is so simple. Just checkout on a whole in every state as of now there are 2 major parites. And what if there can be 2 states so that both parties can rule over the same current geographical location. The problem is that people say if the states are divided into small ones then there can be good control over the state. On the other hand corruption might also increase. I heared that there are some phishing scams going on on these Haiti donations . Example just imagine you get a email stating please donate to Haiti , and you are such a kind hearted person and you just follow that link and you make a donation. Unfortunately you might be in a fake web page giving your credit card information thinking that you are in a legal donation website .There is a sad thing over here , these crazy hackers not only flick your information, they will also do the same donation which you intended to do to Haiti so that in your credit card statement it reads fine. Later on , on some fine day they will take your information and sell it off . Beware !

Sir, Let me start with this. Suppose I wanted to transfer 5 USD from my paypal to My Cents and i have 5 USD in my paypal acccount. On the other hand using my pay pal account I cannot make a purchase from anywhere like i cant purchase My Cents but i can make fund transfer from my account to another paypal account . So is there any way XISTO can give me a mail ID ( I mean the mail ID which is linked with pay pal account ) to which i can transfer 5 USD inturn that gets deposited into my MY Cents account ?? If so it will be helpful for me to transfer that 5 USD into My cents and i am very sure that this will be helpful for many others too. This is simply because pay pal dont allow to purchase anything unless one owns a credit card even though he has sufficient balance in his account.

Dear Mods/ Admins, I am just wondering these days, no shouts in the shout boxes and nothing that much interesting over here as it was a couple of years ago. I remember the day when i stepped into forums. I didnt know what to do and what not to do, but learnt it slowly and i got it right and i am really thankful to Xisto for that, on the other hand i see today people leave Xisto just like that. I am very sure they also had learnt many things from Trap like me, still they choose to leave. For example the removal of edit forced few people to leave. I mean few good people left. So practically checking out this issue, what can be done for this ??People dont leave any forum just like that. Either they must not have got what they wanted. For example some come here for knowledge, like they raise a question and they expect people to answer, if they find there is none to answer them they just leave.So others leave the forum if some exisiting feature is removed from the forum like the removal of edit button. There are others who come here just for the offers which the forum gives. They leave once they ind it is hard to hit that offer and get things out of it . I find these are the 3 main issues which makes people leave the forum. So what can be done to resolve these issues ??Issue 1 : People leave Xisto Just because they dont get answers for their questions My suggestion on how to resolve this issue is that, if some question remains unanswered for over a period of time by the forum members, then that question should be answered my some of the mods. Now one can say that if the mod had known the answer for that question well before then he would have answered that . What i conclude here is that some one must take pains to find the answer and give it to the user so that he does not feel that he was left unanswered . Just imagine who else will take this pain of going and finding the answer and giving it in the forum. I personally feel that the Mod should take this responsibility. Issue 2 : Removal of certain features When i say this every ones attention goes to the removal of edit button from the forum. Yeah may be members dont understand why it was removed, but on the other hand there might be some reason why it has been done . Those reasons the Admins can bring it to light so that the users will understand why it is done and they wont grumble over it.Issue 3 : People come here for the benifitial offers given One such thing is the awarding of My Cents which inturn can be used to buy all hosting related stuffs from XISTO. If some one is gonna feel that getting My Cents is too difficult then Xisto can always give some thing extra occasionally for its regular users which will give them a boost. Like just 3 or 4 $ into some ones My Cents account who feels that he cant push on might encourage him to stay with Trap ( On the other hand there might be drawbacks here, he may get the 3 or 4 $ and remain idle, for this i am very sure Xisto can design some methods )Full filling the above issues will give its users a feel that they would never want to leave Xisto Hope every one who steps into this forum remains here life long.

Very often i get confused when it comes to the subject of sleep. People say sleep it something which is very important for every one. I just look back at my sleeping habits. If some one asks me a question like , how many hours do you sleep per day ? Then i cannot answer that because my sleep timings totally depends on various factors.So now i would like to put a question to every one asking, how many hours must an adult sleep per day ? Some say 6 hours, some say 8 hours, and of course the lazy ones ( at times its me ) say 10 hours per day. I wanted to know is 6 hours of sleep enough for a normal man ?? I am confused in this regard. And moreover i wanted to know whether Sleeping must be done only during night ?? Isnt it enough if i sleep the required amount of time ( say 6 hours ) every 24 hours during any part of the day, say i sleep from 6 AM to 12 PM and i am awake all through the night. Is there any problem in that ?? If some one has some suggestion with this regard please let me know.On the other hand i read so many articles on the internet which says sleep should be only during night. Because only at that time brain cells regenerate or something. But is that really true ? And moreover i wanted to know is there any way one can work and continue with his life style with the minimum hours of sleep. If that is possible please tell me what is the minimum hours of sleep required for an ordinary man, Say some one who is of weight 60.5 Kg and height 171 CM and age 22, male . What will be his minimal sleep requirement.I just wanted to set right things with my sleep so that i wont mess up with my body condition on a later stage.But personally i prefer to sleep the minimum number of hours. Is there any technique to accomplish that ? Just imagine a life where the person dosent feel sleep at all. Oh my God then he has 24 hours per day to do all his works . That will be tremendous. One can easily do so many works per day . Now let me ask you all some thing, Is it is written somewhere in the Scripture ( Bibile ) that sleep must be at night for so many hours ?? If so please let me know with the reference, then i can simply go and follow that other than reading suggestions after suggestion

at times i when i check out the word "clone" in the field of computer science and technology i get confused . Can any one make it clear ? I do understand that clone is something which is an exact replica of an exisiting thing. For example here Facebook clone, which means there is some thing which looks exactly like facebook. This is my understanding on clone, please let me know whether i am right or wrong. If wrong please correct me. I would also like to add something to this. If clone is the exact replica of something then isnt it Phishing ?? Is clone legal then. I would be glad if some one makes it clear to me Thank you

I too saw the same advertisement which you have seen. It is from AIRCEL service provider. They are campaigning on saving Tigers. Mostly tigers are hunted for their skin. So dont go for any products made out of tiger skin, like jackets etc. But i dont think that alone will really help to save the tigers . There has to be some other way more that that. So im also looking out for the same
