I most certainly do agree with the. tricky77 I think also that it is possible. And I almost completly agree with the first post.However I am writing this to regard the second post about mobile and telephone companies and servers. The point here is that everything is not digitalized and such advanced worm might also overtake control of the servers and command centers or hwo they call it digital headquarters. Then it would be really easy when worm would get its way into those servers to control all the traffic coming in and out. Effectively harming telephone network and owner companies. This is really big problem and it occurred several times up to today. However why is it so hard to do it. Since usually those are isolated systems and hardly reachable trough network of all networks that is the main reason why it is hard to do such thing. Now question is how to come back after such attack that will harm economy and almost evenrything and natural functioning of certain country. I like this topic it is really creative and people are writing friendly. Waiting for reply.

Thunderbird is great mail clinet program I use it for vsarious things like reading and sending mails then for reading RSS feeds and so on. Basicly you can do really a lot with it. On the other hand problem is that it takes a place in your start line and this can be solved with very simple utility which you have to have to be able to use thnderbird up to its limits. Well you should set up your case in a bit smarter way that is in the more explanatory way. It depends who would like to destroy internet since many contries will gain by destroying or at least blocking something. The point I would like to explain here is somewhat connected to the basic theory of economy and it is actually economy problem studying the gain from certain action. So the thing is that government of certain country. I will take here to examples mainly United States and let's say Jordan. Since I assume Jordan has not so much influence from the internet and internet based companies and further on. And it is well known fact that they had some connections to the terrorist activities. (Please not that this is just example and do not discuss any further this as this topic oughts to be connected only to destruction of internet.) So let's say they weight their options out and figure out that they would be able to harm western world more in case of destroying or better to say disabling New York's Stock Trading Market (commonly known as Wall Street.) So Jordan decides to harm western world harm economy and so on and finances terrorist group to organize cells and works from underground to disable the Wall Street. Now we have target (United States of America) and we have financial source (some stash funds of Jordan) and we have people to do job some angry terrorists who would like to harm wester civilization and way of life (terrorist group) and we have also more specific target (Wall Stree). And I forgot to mention reason (harming western way of life). This fulfills all the reasons why would someone like to do this. Now let's continue and work some feasible plan that this group could do. Let's say New York and Wall Street dependencies. New York needs interruptible power supply at least Wall Street needs it. Then they need the same internet connection to the internet. One way to kill these two needs is to attack heavily secured systems. Which is problematic needs a lot more planning and furthermore it may be impossible after 9/11. On the other hand they could attack systems that are not defended however these are of the importance to the working of the other systems. So let's say they would kill several electrical (hhmmm, I have figured that I cannot remember this word in English so I will describe it: you have these electrical connections on the columns (polls) that are used for transferring electrical power from power plants. Hopefully it was clear enough.) The point is they would bomb several of these and hamper power supply. Then they would set several bomb all over the city. That would explode and they would send someone of them to go to certain location where he would certainly be caught and then when someone would question him he would give targets like some important buildings and one of them would be Wall Street. No one would risk that so they would have to close it. However since Wall Street is able to function remotely that is you can access all the information over the internet. They would have to hamper internet servers or something. So hampering power supply is already really good blow. Now there they could cut some cables this is really accessible system and can be done simulationusly. this would further traffic bandwidth rates and harm it. Now then I have one problem how would they kill satellite uplink this would be really hard if you have considered that Wall Street is highly protected. So the point is that it can be done via third grade systems and it would certainly bring havoc in the business world. Furthermore, this can be done on the larger scale with cutting out continents since bandwidth between continents and many countries is still highly dependent on the optical cables. And if one would cut optical cables between continents bandwidth rates would be cutted down really fast. Disabling the processing and passing of the informations. One more please don't discuss terrorist this was just example that it can be done on small scale. And in the end I have provided idea about larger scale.

The point is in this discussion as I have probably already mentioned in some other post of mine more about semantics. Since we are all talking about destruction of the internet, and that is OK. However some of you are talking about destruction of the internet in the sens of viruses produced from hackers companies that produce antiviral software governments and so on. And some of you are talking about hardware like fiber optics microwave dishes and so on. So the point here is to express your opinion in the right way otherwise we will go on and on, and no one would be able to find the right answer someone might write good thing and then someone else comes and says it cannot be destroyed. My point is that everything human has mad human can destroy. And this has proven several times over history and in fact troughout history when people were talking this cannot be destroyed and so on. Eventually human find a way.Now on the topic again.So hardware I will repeat this once more hardware can be destroyed in the sens that you would explode nuclear bomb on certain high that would as repercussion produce EMP pulse or more correct electro magnetic pulse. And this would destroy all electronics equipment in reach that is all electronics equipment with integrated board. I had once opportunity to see simulation in which EMP pulse would destroy all technology in the North America. Also I would use this opportunity to note that anyone interested in similar science fiction post apocalyptic stories should watch Jericho television series from CBS. And onther important thing is to destroy internet backbone. You do not have to destroy real every single fiber optics and server in the world you may destroy just internet backbone and it will prove as enough to prevent internet from working on the international and essentially world bases. Some local and localized networks might work. However they wouldn't have connection to the outter world :lol:Now the other important question is about software and this might prove more difficult. Since it would require much more knowledge and much more preparations. Why? Well simple fact comes from the point that internet is made from computers that function on different perating systems and the one thaa t woud like to destroy internet or make it unworkable should be able to write cross platform virus and this is really hard in the essence probably for the next few years impossible.This is all for now. However I would like to point out that you should be careful that you delete cookies because there are ways to steal them especially if you are opening sites like this. On the other hand if you consider how many users will in fact click on that link and submit form then you can imagine how many people will have their privacy harmed and endangered. OK, there is in fact way to store images however I do not know who would like to use it since it is not that simple to use. Currently the simplest way has been already provided here and it is saving links in the mysql database.However there is also another thing person could do since there are some readers of files and so on integrated in the php you can find one adn use it to read the binary source code of the image and then effectively save binaries in the database however then again when you want to provide your users images then you would have to generate image back. Though this can be really useful if you are making some security integration in your script this could provide you with the ability to generate new images from randomly generated strings. Or somewhere else I cannot remember now the thing is that this can be ussuful however the problem is it is a bit complicated. O yes I have remembered one more use case. When let's say you do not have rights to write files on the server however you have rights to write in the database you would use database and it woudl solve your problems

Hmmm, I think that you haven't spent enough time thinking about it there are so many anarchist groups all over the world and terrorist organizations who would certainly prefer to see internet going down. Opposite to the good sides of the internet like sharing of informations making contacts easier and of course business. Important thing is that such groups prefer to harm people. I and you probably don't see good reasons or we see good reasons but we cannot understand them behind suicide bombers however such guys exist and they will stop at nothing to destroy foreign property (referring to property of foreign countries in theirs). And sometimes even against their own government. So you see terrorism has all the requirements one would have to destroy the internet. On the other hand I have mentioned anarchist movements which would probably like to see internet destroyed since this would be the first step of spreading misinformations and other things that could push the world into anarchy. I hope you all get my point here. And to conclude I would like to say that though many groups would prefer to see internet going down they probably lack organization and finances to organize and spread themselves all over the world to destroy it. However remember if they lack support today it doesn't mean that they would lack support tomorrow.

I am sorry to say that I don't like it there could be some serious improvement. So what would I suggest take let's say JOOMLA and work from there find yourself some nice framework that is template and make it in your best way. You need to have it doe thoroughly since I assume this is information for the company or some production line you need to present your content in nice way I am not say that you bomb your visitors with content however. The point is notto just display pictures with links following you could insert some (I am reffering in case you use joomla) some gallery which would present all your informations in neat and concise way. The point also is to produce contact forms and some other pictures you've already worked with. On the other hand it would be good to have some disclamers and copyrights notifications.One more thing that certainly needs attending is titles of the pages since this makes site more google friendly. OK, I see that all of you are in fact thinking in some other direction and probably opposite to me. So what is the point here we are talking about destruction of internet and nothing else not if it is possible to write virus strong enough to kill all the computers and so on it is certainly possible but anti virus companies are working around clock to produce virus and to produce things that will kill them, the problem here is how to effectively destroy internet. I am not sure if some of you are aware how internet works. I see that people are mentioning internet backbone and DDoS attacks (DDoS stands for distributed denial of service) its an attack where person has many computer slaves or zombie computer if you like it in that way and starts pinging some server it can be turned on against web site or against servers and some are already mention in the wikipedia. There were also attacks on the internet backbone it is group of servers that is handling all the traffic over the internet. There are currently two internet backbones one is largely in the ownership of american that is US united states government and other is financed from the EU european union however this one is not in ownership of any company that is companies grant servers and bandwidth however they don't owe it and it is run by groups of volonteres. One other thing is to break connections between continents since most of the traffic between continets goes trough undersee cables optical cables that connect continent with each other since sattelite networks are not powerful enough at least not yet so we are using underwater see cables to send information from one continet to the other. The recent attack I am not sure how many of you are in fact familiar with this "attack" that happened but connection to India from Europe has been hampered seriously in last months when three optical cables that connect europe to the africa and near east were cut and by that seriously hampering connection of the europe to the indian subconinet and by that harming india's outsourcing industry. This is one way to hamper internet via cutting communication links and one organized action would do quite some damage if all teh cables would be cut. This kind of attack would be probably led with some new technology in place and strong company behind it. On the other hand what I would like to mention as serious and almost certain destruction of internet would be series of EMPs (electro magnetic pulses) these would destroy most of the servers and most of the home computers that you and me are using. Though military internal networks would be intact most of other ususual people like you and me wouldn't have any chance and would not be able to connect to the informations and everything else connected to the internet effectively destroying world economy and producing chaos all over the world. This is the only certain way that would destroy the internet probably for many years and it would destroy it for good. EMP can be produced by exploding nuclear bomb on certain hight. This would not in facct harm people however it would destroy all of electronical components like new cars television sets well most of teh casual things you and I am used to in todays world.

Well I like it however I would suggest that you move that time in the header since google bots and in fact many other bots may consider this as trap and try to cheat them. So this would be like more SEO optimization I like it. Did you used wordpress for it and have you wrote theme by yourself. Well as most guys out here I certainly checking always google any time I have something to search for I go there and search in the google then go to other sites. And on the other hand I am checking youtube. com then I have rss reader on my faculty site for the news. And furthermore I am checking few other sites I worked on.

The important issue here is about robots in fact and this is since humans are not very conformable near a machine we would make them look as humans that is we do and because of that later on we would have problems since people would expect that their have right and everything because the problem is if they look like humans many people would think about it like humans however they wil not they are programed machines that just appear on the outside like humans and we cannot give them right on such basis. Though some of ou might think about this as slavery I still don't know why would we incorporate feelings in the first programs about artificial intelligence. However the other issue here is now the problems how would we deal with the artificial intelligence that would develop such level of consciousness that it would work out that we are its suppressors or its slave masters and so on. If you are talking about robots then you have to think about what kind of robots and what level of consciousness it has.

Honestly I do not trust them at all. ot that I am against Microsoft but this is very suspecious because sooner or later some other anti virus software anti spam or anti adware software would find something similar to this and figure it out already. In case that this is true that Microsoft is giving such informations since there is not link to actual report. Thing that might happen is that Microsoft will be sued by google.
