I checked your website, the Whois query reveals that your site nameserver is pointed correctly to Xisto.com which is okay, but I wonder if Xisto.com has configured or added your site in the server. I want to know when did you get your site hosting account. Right now, your site when I tried to open respond nothing. So, if you have change your nameserver few hours ago it may take some more time for nameserver to propagate over the world wide web. Just wait and you will be able to see your site being reflected in www as being hosted in Xisto.

Trap17.com 2 Year Anniversary Party Begins
Dragonfly replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
Trap Seventeen has done a marvelous job of offering quality free site hosting in the past two years. I too have completed my first year way back in April and am running towards my second year. I too have paid hosting account at Xisto - Web Hosting and I must say Xisto is equally good or even better as other paid hosting sites. The server is fast responding for database driven sites and downtime is very minimal, almost no downtime for texttile files and html files except for those database. On the second anniversary, my wish is that NO LOST OF CREDIT on that day! Second wish is graphic competition, preferably the Second Anniversary Banner for trap seventen. Thank you. -
Very impressive work Saint Michael. But for one like me the worry for such beautiful sites that requires lots of graphics embedded in it is that they take time to load. I mean site loading time is taking much time, it may not be a problem for you if your internet connection is fast enough but for many users in many countries it is still a worry. Of course, I understand that if graphics are not there then the site cannot be decorated. A very good layout though.

You Tube Question Can i update the views on my site?
Dragonfly replied to BooZker's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Among the list YouTube will score above the rest for now. Google videos are also a good option but the window (default) size is too big that most of the videos are not that clear while YouTube ones are comparatively clear. In youtube you can do many things. You can save your favorites, upload your own videos and monitor the comments, you can subscribes to your favorite authors, who tend to upload good and quality videos. You can flag the videos which seems appropriate only for adult or mature audience. You can also bookmark your favorite videos. Register it and try out. But one should be always careful to go into such site like youtube where all kinds of people come and post whatever video they want, from violent videos to worse possible images. -
Denied By Google Adsense In Past Getting Approved second time
Dragonfly replied to garbage's topic in Search Engines
If you have fully developed your site by now I suggest you should apply again. I also did the same mistake in applying google adsense before I actually finish my site with its authentic content and they had denied it saying that they don't accept sites with .... whatever they had mentioned in the acceptable policy and your site doesn't seem to fall on this category and whatsover. I applied again after two months with more contents and more unique contents in it. And they approved it. Construct your site with a proper content, you will have google adsense running rightaway. They accept even blogspot personal blogs. So, they should accept it even if it's your own personal blog site. -
I don't think Google is trying to become microsoft in anyway. Google support open sources softwares as we can see it promoting firefox browsers and other software which it releases freely. And I don't think Google will take over the domain where microsoft is already well established nor Microsoft can encroach to Google domain where google is a leader once again. I personally think that Google will continue to dominate where it is already a leader and will try to assert its leadership for a long long time to come. While Microsoft too will try its best to protect its domain.

Future Of Internet In 2016 And Beyond
Dragonfly replied to amir691's topic in Websites and Web Designing
That's an interesting prediction. But that may be true for many western countries but in Africa and some Asian countries by 2016 many will still live without even seeing a desktop not to speak of the laptops that are a common sight in cities. Believe me you cannot imagine people living below $1 per day in so many countries. Yes, I agree but for many people it will be like you've just mentioned. Just another example will be a refrigerator ordering milk when it got finished. It's in the testing stage in Far East countries. -
Very useful contribution. Google adsense is very important for all types of webmasters from webmasters in big companies to the webmasters in small companies or even just a single person. In drupal there is option when an admin logged in to his site the google ads are not visible anymore. That's the best option I've known so far. Earlier I used to disable javascript in my PC if I'm afraid that my family members may click google adsense by mistake but later on I just told them not to <- snipped -> so I don't need to disable. But some friends and visitors may still do it. So, I will use this one from now on..Thanks a lot for the contribution.}

Looking For Php Script : Image Thumbnail Like Imageshack.
Dragonfly replied to barnes's topic in Programming
The best way to search such script will be hotscripts dot com. Whenever I need any scripts written in PHP I just browse hotscripts dot com and I usually find what I want from them. Just search diligently under PHP programme category. I hope you will get one. Another source will be just search in google with the right keyword. Google is very useful. It will be there for sure, but it may not be free. Best of luck. -
This topic has been useful to me. Till today I have been getting more than 20 emails per day in the main email account and around 5 in sub-domain email account which I need to set as it gives an authentic email ID as the owner of the domain and sub-domain. It is a pride to have email@our_own_domain.com and this is possible due to the generosity of Xisto. I don't get any much spam emails in my paid hosting account, which surprises me though. After reading post by post now I am deciding which way is the best to keep my webspace free of emails.

June 6th 2006 - The Devils Number Possibly the end of the world?
Dragonfly replied to Kubi's topic in General Discussion
June 6, 2006 is really not significant even from religious point of view. It is not 666. It is rather 662006. Look carefully it has nothing to do with 666. Whether it was 2000 or any other number that people are busy with and worry about it has really no religious significant. A believer must be ready all the time to meet his end times or say the end of his time. -
The one you have got is not that much interesting. What I used to get were mostly from Nigeria stating that he/she is a good believer of God and he trust God that this email was sent to me despite of not knowing me. How clever and they can actually cheat other good believers like this. But such things will never happen. One time I just replied and they started asking my address and contact details. At that time I gave up.I never report such emails. I consider them as good as 'You have just won 1 million dollar!' visit this link. I push them to the spam inbox....

You site has a good content but is poorly designed. On the top image menu the last two menu 'email me' and 'get firefox' menu images are not displaying in firefox browser. May be you need to check link to the image url. I suggest that you firstly you fix the width of the webpage. And I think the portal banner should be made smaller. It is too big that for small screen it almost occupies half of the page. And why use bravenet guestbook. There are many other better guestbook. Bravenet is full of advertisements here and there and those are specially annoying ones.

Can Someone Help With Seo Of My Blog its not indexed by google at all.
Dragonfly replied to mayank's topic in Search Engines
If your site has been up and running online for more than a month Google has probably crawled once. And that proof is there since Google has indexed the front, index or homepage. It is always helpful to use meta description and meta keywords, they help the robots identify the content. If you are implementing this step, just wait another 2 to 3 weeks. It should be indexed all over again with this new step you have taken. While visiting your website what really bothers me is the color of your active links and links. The color you are using is blue but too blur. Why don't you use a more visible color? May be dark blue will do. It is not so much comfortable with eyes, in fact i don't feel like seeing your website. My eyes are about to get tired looking at the links. The same is with search engines. -
E-bay Phishing E-mail Still Out There Watch your privacy
Dragonfly replied to Absolute's topic in Security issues & Exploits
These days there are those emails that are masquerading themselves with reputed names like eBay, Paypal and others. Last week I too got such email in my Paypal account main email ID and you know they asked me to verify my account information all over again. And when I followed the link and open the new site it asked me even my credit card password. I had filled up everything and was about to send the information, all I need to fill up was the last one and it was the field to fill up my credit card password which even paypal don't ask. It looks suspicious here. And I immediately re-check my email and the link they had asked me to follow, in fact the link visible will be given paypal but the real link in the code is another site, starting with oxd something dot com. And when I check the url I was visiting it was not Paypal site. But design and everything was made to look like Paypal. I immediately visited Paypal site and log into my account where all the details of my personal information were actually there. And I searched the site and found the email to which complaint must be sent, it was spoof@paypal.com and I forwarded the email I received from them. I got reply from Paypal as well. They thanked me for reporting such email. Also while searching the google I found that one guy has lost about US $500 by filling up such form including his credit card password. And he was complaining that Paypal is BAD, they stole his money. But the fact is that there are many people trying to sneak into our personal information using those reputed companies. So, when you get such email check the real link in the code. You could right-click the link and see the properties. The real link may be different. And if you find that the real link and text link are different report immediately to the concern company, in your case eBay. And never enter your credit card password or email password anywhere. -
Just to add few notes on warranty. Recently I bought one Desktop PC. It was not branded one but parts I bought were all branded ones. Intel motherboard, Samsung TFT monitor and hard disk, LG DVD Combo writer, hehehe.. all are branded not to speak about RAM and others, they too are branded. I assembled them and it works perfectly. And all the parts are 3 years warranty. I think this is cool.

This is to bring an important notice to all the hosted members who use Xisto email services here. Especially those who are having sub-domain from Xisto. I do have the same account. I added-on one domain and I used to check my email from that domain only. But I've never bothered to check my email in the sub-domain.trap17.com. It has been a year and there are around a staggering 4567 emails in the inbox which occupy about 75 MB webspace. Since the email is associated with there is no limit to the email inbox storage capacity. The problem is anything@your-sub-domain.trap17.com will reach this primary email inbox. And in a year it could amass like this. I was prompted to look all ways possible as I was running out of disk space and was desperate how to overcome the problem. So, I started checking the disk space usage and found that no folders are using much space and couldn't figure out the problem. But when I check the main email it took me 30 minutes to delete all the spam emails. If you have the same problem the following is the tip: Tip on deleting emails from your inbox: Before deleting one by one firstly you may increase the number of display at one page by going to OPTIONS whithin the email > Display information > Number of post to display > it will be 15 by default but you could change upto 300. But if you do INBOX-TRASH too will exceed the disk space alloted and you won't be able to delete all. What you must do is after you delete twice or thrice from the inbox also PURGE the INBOX-TRASH in the left menu. This way you will be able to delete all the messages. After deleting those emails from the main email ID my account has almost 50% free webspace out of 150MB alloted space. I hope this is useful at least for some members.

You have good contents to envy but the way you have arranged or placed the contents are not the best, there is room to improve. I wouldn't mind you retain the color combination since it suits well with the name of the site. It is a wonderful idea that you choose those two colors and mix it. It is a plus point I should say. After we scroll down the tables and are done with those the content below look very messy. I think you can still put them inside some table or box to give a better look. And instead of keeping the width to 100% it may be better to keep in 800x600 pixels so that for those with high monitor resolution they won't have to look east and west.

Thanks Hadi for this valuable post. I have not seen icongold dot com site before and for the first time when I visit the site just now it is impressive. Their icons are cute and beautiful, neatly designed ones and are all very attractive. But the risk involved behind the installation and other things are the factor that one should have taken care before buying them. I agree that good icons are very important for a website but not at much cost even by crashing one's system. The price of the packages are not too costly but if I have to buy I think I would go for foood dot net icons. Theirs are much more professional and even looking better.

I totally agree with this idea but isn't it understood? Most of the webmasters would know this much, atleast. Last time I visited a friend of mine and when he was logging on to his hotmail ID he was typing his password for a long time and I asked him what was he doing. He told me that he was typing his password consisting of alphabets and numbers that made up to 70 characters. It was one of the longest password I've ever heard of. And you know what he said, his email ID has the safest password.

There is nothing to replace gas and oil even in the future, what we could think of is whether we could preserve oil more and how to use productively and of course gas production could be increased too. In some countries like India CNG - Compressed Natural Gas is used as fuel instead of any other vehicular oil like petrol and diesel; the air becomes very clean and pollution level too drops down drastically. I would always recommend more of such thing to be produced than the method you are talking right now. There is no alternative huge enough to replace oil but supplement can be found like we have seen in compress natural gas.

If it doesn't work still I suggest you to install it manually. You cannot do wrong if you install manually. In fact, installing any software from fantastico may not be the latest version all the time. Of course, I understand that PHP-nuke latest version is not free but among the free versions the one in the fantastico may not be the latest either. Therefore, it is better to install manually. Also, when things go wrong you understand which part have missed out the normal installation.Tell us again your progress. All the best!

Thank you Admin, for updating us with this information. Sometimes, it seems that some users or even customers seem to abuse the privilege they get. And if one website effects many websites in the same server it is really sad. I hope it doesn't repeat in the days to come. My site is running nicely since I'm not in the server where that unfortunate thing had happened. Besides, it is also good to hear that things were brought back to normal within few minutes.

Me Myself And I My latest song - Feedback much appreciated
Dragonfly replied to stevenufc291088's topic in Art & Creativity
Now, you must present this to some artist who will tune nicely and sing it for you. You have a great potential to become a good composer or you have already become one, is it? :)This one carries the message it wanted to carry off very strongly. Though some people may say it's a little bit immature lyrics but it is definitely okay for youngsters. And I believe you can compose many more songs equally good which will attract all types of audiences and ages. Talent cannot be bought nor can be learned (most of the times). So, keep writing and keep up the good work (though it's for you, you can convey many things through your lyrics even to help others). -
Yes, this seems to be true as well. In my case, when one firefox browser installation was done by one visitor it it was around $0.70 which is less than $1, since they have indicated and mentioned that it is upto $1, it is quite fair. And also if US and Canada publishers get more than other countries it may still be fair because money value is somewhat different there. Remember, Yahoo doesn't even accept publishers outside US at least for now.
