  1. Yeah I don't know if that is such a good idea. I mean they have worked solely with Intel until now. All of their knowledge base is in Intel. Obviously they can hire people with AMD knowledge but the two procs works so much differently from ech other. I think theses first computers coming out with the AMd processors are going to suck.If I was going to buy one I'd wait until next summer probably.
  2. See I don't see that a vaild argument. Because the fact that animals don't "appreciate" the planet as some humans might has no relavance to humans staying or leaving the planet. Earth was the animals' planet first before we came and took it over. And without a healthy planet they would die as well like they are started to do in some places right now. There are millions of people already doing such things and look what it has gotten so far. The only wayu to change the world like that is to actually have a mass boycott of something "vital" to society as it is today. A million people won't do it, you're going to need like 20-30 million people. I don't think humans should be eradicated yet anyways. Because our technology, though some of it is horrible, looks to make a better future. So if they were able to get much much farther in their research and applications we might see some really good stuff later on that would help the whole galazy not just ourselves. but I do believe that we should come to understand our world before doing anything so that way we might be able to live here a bit longer than we are going to be able to right now you know.
  3. Yes Life is a just a big compilation of the same things happening over and over again with a different point of view and reason behind them.Really I say we can only learn from what has happened to others and attempt to do something different, be it wrong or right as long as it is different. As long as we are constantly changing in life things can only get better in our own lives. I mean everyone likes to stay the same so they don't have to deal with change and all that but in hindsight change has made me who I am, I don't like change when it is happening but afterwards when i can go look at what actually happened during that changes I realize that it was a good things. So in a sense Life is what you make it but it's more than that because you don't have control over an aweful lot you know, so some things you just have to run with.
  4. See me I've majoring in Computer Science right now so my job will be to be a Computer Programmer. But what I really want to do is get my PhD. in the field and being work as a college professor. And it's not really because I like teaching or anything. ki'm just kind of good at what I do so I know will be able to help some kids in college plus I really like the college campus and environment. I'm not actually one of those popular kids hanging out with a bunch of people and joining a million clubs or anything but that's not all college is about like most people seem to think it is. To me learning stuff is more important I'd rather focus on that and the best place to learn is in the college environment. So being a professor at a college would be ultimate.
  5. Well thanks for the info then. It answered my question. But yes it is an executable which is why I asked about it.
  6. I was wondering about setting up a TeamSpeak host on my account here at Xisto.com For anyone who doesn't know what TeamSpeak is, it is a chat program used in audio conferencing and gaming alike so teams of people can communicate while doing something. (http://www.goteamspeak.com/) My website hosted by Xisto is centered around a guild/clan I belong to in the popular MMORPG, Guild Wars. And teamspeak helps us big time when we go to Guild vs. Guild battles so we can talk and work out strategy. My question is, am I able to install teamspeak on my account or will Xisto hosting have to install the client onto the server in order for me to use the program? The requirements for running the TeamSpeak client and server are here http://www.goteamspeak.com/?page=requirements along with the bandwidth information. If it's possible for me to use the program I imagine the bandwidth I use for the TeamSpeak program would be taken off my account bandwidth for the month just like it would be for a normal webpage. So basically I'm asking am I able to install this? And if so can I use it?
  7. When you guys post which one is better don't you think it be a bit better if you all actually why a company is better than just saying "Because their processors are better" or "Because Intel/AMD sucks"Actually put some thought into why you use what yopu use otherwise your just an idiot blindly saying one is better than other and not knowing anything about what you use other than the clock speed.
  8. See I've found that Nvidia tends to over do it with their Video Cards. Not that that is a bad thing or anything but right now F.E.A.R. is the only game maxed out that I have seen slow down a 7600GT for a second. Everything else runs smoothly without problems maxed out. So why would you need a 7800GTX? That's overkill especially for SLI. You could save money and still have the same performance. As for ATI their cards are still as popular but aren't as advertised because most times their cards don't compare with the raw power of an Nvidia Card but actually when it comes to Half Life ATI destroys Nvidia without hands. Mostly because ATI cards process particle effects like a million times better than Nvidia cards do. Personally I like ATI but I have used more Nvidia cards.
  9. See you have a good idea but those kinds of schools are reserved for Graduate and Doctoral level studies. If you really want to do that kind of stuff go to college and then go to Graduate school to get a masters degree and then to a doctoral program to get your doctorate degree. I mean high school now in America lets you choose your classes, college most definitly lets you choose your classes.
  10. See we've been using the same kinf of format though for a long time now, VGA. Like many other things in the computer industry the technology we've been using is new but the technology itself is very outdated. I mean we've been using the same setup for windows since 1995 and it's 2006 now. We've gotten better in the Motherboard side because we move from ISA slots to PCI-Express slots, but it still all just slots on a motherboard. Computer Design hasn't changed at all it's just gotten more complex because all we've been doing is upgrading the old instead making something new. That's when I hope to be around when we come up with a new type of visual device for computers.
  11. How ever outdated it might be 200-400 buck is an awesome price for a 2gig processor with 768MB RAM and Office 2003. The RAM and Office are actually quite expensive buying both of those would have cost you almost 300 dollars US. So you did get a good start on upgrading your computer.
  12. See I've always thought that one big reason to help them fall was that they were smart enough to make indoor plumbing but they didn't know that lead causes problems with humans. Now after so long of a time using lead piping for all of your water needs (i.e Public Bath Houses) you will start to get lead poisoning and/or birth defects like crazy.
  13. Are you sure we're actually moving away right now? Because even a slight change in distance from the sun would make a DRASTIC change in the whole world's climate, for the colder I might add. I mean we are so lucky we're even able to live here on earth. We are sitting at the only distance from the sun Humans can live normally like we do now. If we get too much closer we all melt if we get a little farther away we all freeze to death.I mean the very fact that we can live like we do is amazing.
  14. In my experience unless you have a freon-like system where there is a place in the watercooling system where the water is actually chilled to some degree all you end up doing is throwing room-temperature water around your computer. Yes it may help some but still the whole point watercooling is make things cold not room temperature you know.So why not get a couple of 120MM fans and do better.
  15. I've had a similar experience before I guess. But what I think it's from is that when listening to a sermon you actually understand what the message is supposed to be behind it all you know. To me I listen to some sermons and I really see that somethings are good and some things need changed. It's that whole feeling of understanding.
