  1. Well, that won't be cheaper than what I'm getting. I'm getting pretty much every channel on Time Warner (formerly Comcast) for about $39 per month. But then again, I'm just lucky to live in an area where cable is abnormally cheap.
  2. I just downloaded it about 5 minutes ago, so I haven't had much time to use it, but from what I can tell immediately, it looks a bit better, and seems to move a bit faster. It also loaded a lot faster too. All of my extensions seem to work, and it hasn't crashed yet!. Oh, I just realized that it had a spell check. That's pretty useful...
  3. Here's a good one: http://www.newegg.com/Common/MessagePage.aspx?MsgCode=-1&ID=52 It's 160GB, and it seems to be pretty cheap.
  4. Seriously? If you aren't joking, then thank you! This would be impossible with all of the work that I have to do. I don't know what I can give you in return if you really do this. What do you want (other than money ;?
  5. Umm... For those of you that are saying that CRT are lower quality than LCD, you are mistaken. Cheap LCDs are much worse than a cheap CRT. YOu are right when you are saying that they are outdated technology though. If you have enough money, get a good LCD definately, but never, I repeat, NEVER get a cheap LCD if you want quality.
  6. Well, I'll tell you what I did wrong when I was in your situation. So, this is basiclly a list of what NOT to do.1. Don't take things too fast, or else you might scare her off.2. Don't make any sexual jokes or act crazy.3. Unless she's into it, don't say your bi if you aren't, or even if you are.4. Don't tell her until your ready, and if you do tell her, tell her straight out.5. Don't ask her to go out with her if you didn't do your homework. She might already have a boyfriend. That's all the advice I can think of right now... Hopefully I've helped...
  7. For the best client, I'd have to say Trillian, since it combines everything into one. Think about it. Instead of 4-5 annoying resource consuming programs, you could only have one! It looks cool too
  8. There is such thing as "free" domains. Yes, I mean .com, .net, .org, ect. I once got a free .info domain. I didn't pay ANYTHING. I don't know how these are free, but they are, so, whoever says they aren't free, you're wrong. Do some more reaserch before you post.
  9. Hmm... I'm not really sure about how currency is converted from American dollars around there, but if you'd let me, I could give you some results from an American based site. They ship globally, so it should be a problem.
  10. I'm planning on reviving my old site: CorruptedAnime by Christmas. Sadly, most of my staff is gone, and the layout that I had done for the site when I was originally trying to revive it, is gone. Also, I don't have a copy of photoshop anymore, and I don't have enough money to buy another copy. I'm also very busy in school now (I finally have a social life, along with 4 AP courses ;; so it's hard for me to get any work done on my site. The layout is basicly the hardest part. I can do pretty much everything else, such as content ect, since I have that already done somewhere on my backup harddrive. So, if you can find the kindness in your heart, please design and code a layout for me. I will make sure to give you credit, but I cannot pay you with actual money. I can give you a spot on my staff as the GFX man, and you won't have to do anything, but that's pretty much it. If you do decide to create a layout for me, look at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (the "professional" style) and use that as a basis for what you are making. Incase you can't do something like that, just do something small and compact. I don't need anything big and bulky, just something that's easy to browse, and not to big and bandwidth consuming. Something smaller and artistic would be prefered. But, if you can, just look at the site that I mentioned before, and base your work off of that. I'd prefer a dark-themed website at the moment, and it has to be anime based. I guess if you want to choose one anime to base the banner off, you could use Death Note, since that's what all the people are going crazy over right now. If you want to do a multi-anime theme, I'd prefer that you use something from Naruto, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, and early Dragonball. Sorry if it seems like I'm asking for too much, but if you read over this, you'll realize that it's just a simple request, and it shouldn't be to hard. Please fufill this request. I really need your help.
  11. It depends on what they do after I pay them. If they start to charge people, they should be able to do a lot more with their services. For 5 dollars a month, I expect to see a revamped search engine, Gmail with even MORE storage (>10GB), and of course file storage.
  12. Wait. Is this the beta, or the full, final release? I'm not gonna download it if it's a beta, because the last beta that I tried from Microsoft was horrible.
  13. I think we should all know by now that google isn't the spy. They've protected us for so long now. Everytime some company tries to get search data from them, they say no.And about the Google Earth issue: How are they gonna do anything with zip codes? If they didn't already know that we live in a certain area by us just visiting the site and giving them our IP, what would be the use of getting our zip codes? That wouldn't help anything.
  14. I prefer the iPod, basicly because it is the easiest MP3 player to use, and it has the best and most accesible user-interface. I'm not a mac person, so my decision isn't biased. I've tried many different MP3 players, and the iPod is the best by far. No other MP3 player is as easy to use as the iPod.
  15. I've used it before, but I didn't have much time to try it out. For the time that I used it though, it seemed pretty good. Before cutenews, I had used FusionPHP, which I HATED with a passion. Cutenews was soooooooo~ much better! Even though I only had about a week to use it (I don't want to talk about the "incident"), I still think it beats any other news script by far.
  16. I think you need Realplayer or some sort of alternative. If you search Real's site really well, you should be able to find a version for Linux. I don't know of any alternatives for Realplayer on Linux, only on Windows.
  17. I'd pretty much do the same thing as the previous poster, or I might just re-invent the internet. It would have to exist sooner or later with people like Bill Gates around.
  18. Well, if you have to buy from them, and you want something cheap, I'd suggest getting this one: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It's 160GB, and it's external, and it's by a reputable company.
  19. Back in the day, I used to use Mandrake, but that was along time ago, and it was buggy and horrible back then. I wouldn't reccomend because of past expieriences. I've also used FreeBSD, and I definately wouldn't recomend that unless you know what you're doing. If you are a newbie to Linux or UNIX, and you have know idea what you're doing, do NOT use FreeBSD. When I was younger, I tried it out, and ended up destroying my computer, and my previous site. Now I'm much more expierienced, but I'm too scared to reinstall any Linux distros, because of my past expieriences.Anyways, just don't use FreeBSD. Anything else is okay.
  20. I'd suggest just buying a USB or firewire external HD. That's the best route to go when you have that much data to store. I can't give you any specific ones to buy, but I'd say anything by Maxtor, Hitachi, or western digital should be safer, since they are the leading HD manufactures.
  21. I'd have to say Adobe Premier or Avid. I've used both, and they both seem about even to me. Just try some sort of demo of both of them (I'm sure they exist) and buy which ever one you like best.
  22. Hmm... I wasn't aware of this. I don't quite understand why it would be illegal to have a tracker with legal files, but whatever. I've already solved my problem. I got a tracker running on another site, so I don't have to worry about it.
  23. Ok. First I just need to ask, is there such thing as a bittorent tracker that you can install on a remote server such as Xisto's, or is there any sites that have pre-configured ones?If those don't exist, are there any suggestions you could give me for setting up one on my home server?
  24. I'll check those two out. I've tried Zonealarm along time ago, but the other one is new to me, so I'll have to look into it.
  25. Ok. Here's the problem. My supscription on Norton is about to run out (that's a good thing) and I need a replacement. For antivirus, i've already chosen AVG, but I don't have a firewall yet. Does anyone know any good FREE firewalls? Please give me some proof behind your decision, if you have any. I really need to know what the BEST one is, because I don't want a buggy, RAM + CPU eating firewall.
