  1. Thanks for the link to freedomain.co.nr; I had used that uni.cc one, but they want me to place an ad on my website, and they want me to make sure my website gets visitors consistently! That's too much of a hassle, so I'm guessing that co.nr doesn't do that too! hehe I will give them a shot, thanks
  2. I really look forward to this OS. I mean, anything that google produces is really produced well. Their search engine is excellent, and they're applications like gmail and gtalk are great too. I think an OS by them will be what people have always wanted! I know I would love to test it out.
  3. I would like to try another os if I can find one, hehe. I have used litestep for a good while. Litestep is just a shell replacement though for a windows installation for example. Rather than using explorer.exe for the shell, it uses litestep.exe. Is there another OS that is similar to windows but faster with the same support for programs and such?
  4. Wow, I hope these guides keep coming! There are a lot of differences for me for C compared to c++ and java. I like the syntax better in c++ and java, so the more guides I can read like this, the better off I am! Thanks a lot for your hard work
  5. Nice find, man. I might try this out on my new website! Thanks for the tip. Maybe it would be good for welcoming a username after the user has logged in..
  6. Hey, I uploaded this script named test.asp; here's the contents: <html><body><%response.write("Hello World!")%></body></html>I put it in the public_html folder just like my other files. Here's the url: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm really new to ASP. I got this from an examples website to teach ASP. Thanks
  7. Is it true that you can't use adsense on a forum? Maybe it was a shoutbox that I heard that with? Please someone inform me that knows about this. The thing I read a while back said that google didn't like it because of all the automatic page refreshes. Hmm
  8. Haha, thanks for the advice about this company everyone. I would have tried it had I not read this whole thread about how it may be a scam since no one's clicks are getting reported. I will stick with adsense!
  9. Oh that's a good idea. Do you know if that's been done already? (A script has already been written -- link please?) Maybe that would work on those websites too where they try to redirect you a lot of times before sending you to the real website, hehe.
  10. Hmm, it does not look like a bad tool. I will keep it in mind incase I need something like this in the future. It looks like it would be great for a database class for a beginner. I remember having to create tables like that for the database I created when I was learning this in school! hehe
  11. Awesome man! thanks for the URL. This is a new idea to me to cache the MySQL queries. I will definitely implement it or give it a shot on my project, because I am using a lot of queries. I want to save as much bandwidth and make it as quick for the user as possible.
  12. Yeah, I agree with the more support for more languages in syntax highlighting and it being easier in that way. I just use a hand full of languages, so I want the interface I work in to be as liteweight looking as possible. Another one I have tried out is TextPad. It has tabs too, but I'm not sure if it is a keeper, hehe See more here: http://www.textpad.com/
  13. Does anyone have some links for ajax on what all I can do with it that would be useful? I know javascript, and I believe I could pickup xml without much of a problem. I'm just now sure of how they would both combine to provide a nice interface on my website. Okay, thanks to anyone who can add to this
  14. I really like Notepad2. I wish Notepad2 had tabs though. Notepad++ has always looked a little bloated to me. The last one I have tried is pspad, but it's hard to leave Notepad2. I just wished it had tabs! If you want to check out Notepad2, see http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html. Also, wikipedia has some more information about the liteweight, nice for programming or typical text file program: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notepad2.
  15. I am wanting to learn ASP. I have always used PHP. Does Xisto - Support ASP? Maybe I will get to practice it here if so. I plan on using php for my website though That is just because I am more familiar with it. I would have to agree with one of the comments that I read in that I think PHP is nicer and easier to read.
