  1. I went out looking at the various systems earlier on, and I have realised the over-abundance of notebooks being sold in contrast to desktops. With notebooks improving with each batch, and them being considerably lighter, do you think that they will eventually replace desktops? And now there are even notebooks which are considered desktop replacements. I saw a Vaio notebook, it was about 17 inches wide and looks exactly like a notebook. But of course it was very high-end and could be compared to a normal desktop. The price though was really scary; S$6000+, and you can get an average notebook for less than S$2000. I really think that Desktops will become obsolete in time to come, with notebooks replacing them. What do you think?
  2. CSS really makes things more 'lightweight' like what was said in the earlier posts. Another good thing about CSS is that you can make it someway object oriented, what you do in this object could be reflected throughout the whole webpage.
  3. Why don't you pay the money for a paid forum software for VBulletin, it has been around for so long and it is very established. On top of that, there are so many modules for you to install onto it and the look and feel is really great, by far the most original out of all the forum software I have taken a look at. Its only $70 for a subscription or something like that. A forum I am posting at is also using VBulletin and it is really amazing. TRY IT!
  4. I do not have a good experience with bluetooth devices for some reason. When I was doing some testing with my J2ME application, I used a bluetooth dongle and always it has problem pairing up with my notebook and many times, it does not even respond. I switched to IRDA since then, too many problems for me.
  5. Hi I am fairly new to this forum, I am here because the hosting package, but at the same time I have found something which has caught my eye and that is programming. I have a question to ask all of you, have anyone tried programming on a Symbian OS? I tried it before and I found it very difficult to understand the documentation. Any pointers for me to take note of? Or maybe you could share your experience here?
