  1. what dimensions do you want the banner? The "typical" size is 468x60 unless its going to be the header of your website.
  2. Tue, 23 May 2006 - A new domain name was registered - BLAbbO.info. Immediately, I began creating this website. I worked day and night until I was happy with it. There was no way I was going to let my website be known until it was complete. Wed, 24 May 2006 - Now that I was satisfied with the work on my new website, I submitted it to over 80 search engines and 3 directories (including Google, Yahoo!, MSN and DMOZ). Thu, 25 May 2006 - It is now about 5am and I went to check Google. I am not indexed yet. Next, I went to Yahoo! and checked. Nothing there yet. Finally, I checked at MSN. I'm indexed there in less that 24 hours! So far things are looking pretty good. When I took a look at my awstats I noticed (not including my own) I have a total of 21 unique visitors. And, as this website is an article directory, already I have had one person submit an article that I now have published. I must be doing something right as this is a brand new website and already it's getting traffic even though it is less that 48 hours old at the time of this writing. As time progresses, we'll see whether this "experiment" is successful or not. You never know, if it is successful, maybe I'll end up writing an ebook.
  3. What I did was add border=0 as well as mouseover effects. you can check out my progress at BLAbbO.info. As this site is an experiment I will start a thread in the future to let people know how it's going. hopefully, it'll bring in cash...
  4. I've been working on a new website I'm putting together but ran into a problem. After creating a header image for the site and getting that part set up I noticed a problem. The image itself has a link to the home page but, since it links to itself it makes an ugly purple box around it (active link). How do I get rid of this while maintaining the link? Is there a way to make it invisible? You can take a look so you know what I mean by going to BLAbbO. EDIT: Nevermind, you can close or delete this thread, I figured it out.
  5. I do have one of my domains thru registerfly. i used stormpay to pay for it and i've been back there several times and could not find anywhere to pay for a domain thru paypal. It may be because paypal has been causing alot of people problems. you can read more about it on the attached document. It's a must read!
  6. It looks like the .org domains are no longer $1.80 but $7.99. I was going to register another domain but had to cancel it. Turns out I'm not in the right country.
  7. Thanks BH, you've been a lifesaver.I now have another domain registered. Now I have to figure out what to do with it. The domain I registered was nichelist.info so there are many possibilities. Again, thanks for the info. Now I know where to go to register domains from now on.EDITED TO CORRECT TYPOSNOTE: I recommend Xisto - Web Hosting to all you people out there!PS: Argh! being drunk and typing is not easy!
  8. Unfortunately, I do not qualify according to her terms. I've already responded to that thread. If she had a paypal account I'd offer to buy a domain from her LoL. I'm having a hard time finding something through google. everyone wants a credit card or don't accept paypal.EDIT: I found a place but they are $5 for the .info domain. Might as well use it until I get my $$$ from google.EDIT PART 2: Turns out they do accept paypal but they do NOT allow you to pay with the cash you have in your account. You still need a credit card. This is lame!!!!
  9. Does anyone know where a domain name can be purchased using paypal? I am hoping to find something that is $3 or less (TLD does not matter, even .info is fine). I know they are out there but I'd like to find one that accepts paypal as I do not have a credit card. All suggestions are welcome.
  10. I have to agree with PILOTO. That's exactly what I did after graduating high school back in 1984. I immediately went on to college and joined up with the ROTC. Then, in 1986, it was off to the Army where I went to Fort Campbell, KY, TF 1-160 SOAR(A) [160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment- Airborne - 1st Battalion]. The most exciting time was with the deployment to Iraq in October 1990 (I'm not going to mention Mogadishu, that was not what I call excitement). To make a long story short, I stuck around until 1996. Sure, officers get paid better than enlisted but there are some that still see combat deep within enemy territory. Stick with college for a year or two, then decide.
  11. It was only a matter of time. It usually takes Google a little while to index a site. As you may already know, you are indexed in Google. You can also use allinurl:yoursitename or just your sitename with and without the .com part.
  12. Open up your Qur'an and read Al-Anf?l. I twist none of my words. It does not matter which version of the Qur'an you read, it all comes down to the same thing. This surah instructs all muslims to fight and kill in the name of Allah. If you do not do this then you are cursed by Allah. I'm sorry but I did not write this surah nor the Qur'an. So if you are referring to twisted words, then you are saying the words of the Qur'an are twisted. It is real. Believe that it is real. Read it in your own Qur'an and you will see it right there. NOTE: I do not hate muslims nor any other group of people. As far as I'm concerned we are all equal in the eyes of God and have equal rights. I am only stating a fact that anyone can verify by reading the Qur'an, as well as studying the Hadith, Sira, and Ta'rikh.
  13. Actually, the first piece of code above does that. It cloaks your affiliate ID by creating a frame so it's your website's URL that shows up in the address bar and not the long, ugly affiliate URL. Give it a test
  14. Actually, this is something that muslims are taught from their own "sacred" book, the qur'an. Here are a few excerpts from the qur'an: This is merely a very small sample of what the qur'an says. To learn more about it you can visit a website devoted to the truth behind islam using islam's most sacred and accepted texts. It is located HERE. NOTE: I must emphasize that this website only reveals the truth using Islam's OWN texts. So if anyone gets upset, then you have no one to blame but Islam's own teaching, the Qur'an and the other authorities that are recognized by the Islamic religion. As an exercise, walk into any mosque in your town and take a look at the pamphlets that are available. You will find hate material being distributed, courtesy of Saudi Arabia.
  15. Do you hate those long, ugly affiliate links such as hxx ? Do you hate it when someone takes your affiliate link and cut you out, thereby "stealing" the money you could have made? Ever wonder how the so-called "internet guru's" do it? Ever wish you had the $97 they want so you, too, can learn how? You've probably seen such URL's as hxx bigselfproclaimedguru.com/Recommends/ CrapProduct in an email you've recieved and wanted to duplicate it for your own affilate programs. Well, now you can! Here is how you can do it... Create a folder in your root directory named Recommends and then create a directory inside of it, such as CrapProduct or whatever else you are promoting. inside the CrapProduct directory, create a file named index.html. Here is the contents of the index.html file: <html><head> <script>window.status = '';</script> <title>Page Title Here</title> <!-- Replace this with your page title --></head> <frameset border=0 rows="100%,*" frameborder="no" marginleft=0 margintop=0 marginright=0 marginbottom=0><!-- Replace INSERT-HERE with your affiliate link including the http:// --> <frame src="INSERT-HERE" scrolling=auto frameborder="no" border=0 noresize> <frame topmargin="0" marginwidth=0 scrolling=no marginheight=0 frameborder="no" border=0 noresize><body></body> </frameset> </html> And now you can promote your own affiliate program. The link will now be hxx yourdomain.com/Recommends/ CrapProduct. I hope this quick & dirty, very simple tutorial helps in your quest to become Super Affiliate And if you don't want to use a cloaking method as above (which uses a Zero frame) then you can use this instead. <html><head> <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=INSERT-HERE"></head><body></body></html> Hmmm... if I keep giving away all the "secrets" of the Big Dogs people are gonna start thinking I'm one great guy! Oh well, it's not a bad thing. My ultimate goal is to show the "guru's" for what they really are (and maybe make some cash for myself along the way!). NOTE: I had to do a little editing to fix a few typo's.
  16. I think I overlooked something. Add the following to the thankyou.php right after the <body> tag <?$ip = $_POST['ip']; $httpref = $_POST['httpref']; $httpagent = $_POST['httpagent']; $visitor = $_POST['visitor']; $visitormail = $_POST['visitormail']; $notes = $_POST['notes'];$attn = $_POST['attn'];?>and it should fix a few things. EDIT: Here is a better example of the contact form in action at my main site True2Earn.com. Sometimes, simplicity is the best way as this example shows. Plus, I set it to open in a new window and not directly on the page. One of those little "tricks" to keep people on your website
  17. Here's another way of having a feedback form on your website. This is the method I use since it works great and, I guess you can say, professional. What I do is create a page, such as contact.php and a page, such as thankyou.php. I will break it down into the bare essentials for you and you can modify it to match your own site. Oh, it also checks for a valid email address as well as a drop down box for the subject field of the email. contact.php <html><head><title>Feedback Form</title></head><body><h3 align=center>Write to us!</h3><br><br><FORM action=thankyou.php method=post><? $ipi = getenv("REMOTE_ADDR"); $httprefi = getenv ("HTTP_REFERER"); $httpagenti = getenv ("HTTP_USER_AGENT");?> <INPUT type=hidden value="<?php echo $ipi ?>" > <INPUT type=hidden value="<?php echo $httprefi ?>" > <INPUT type=hidden value="<?php echo $httpagenti ?>" > Your Name:<BR><INPUT size=35 name=visitor><BR> Your Email:<BR><INPUT size=35 name=visitormail <BR><BR><BR> Attention:<BR> <SELECT size=1 name=attn> <OPTION value=" General Support " selected>General Support</OPTION> <OPTION value=" Refunds ">Refunds</OPTION> <OPTION value=" Webmaster ">Webmaster</OPTION> </SELECT><BR><BR> Mail Message:<BR><TEXTAREA name=notes rows=4 cols=40></TEXTAREA><BR> <INPUT type=submit value="Send Mail"><BR></FORM></body></html>After the email is typed up and ready to be sent, the user clicks on the Send Mail button and are taken to the thankyou.php page. The script makes sure all fields are filled out. The only place in the script that needs to be edited is clearly marked. <html><head><title>Thank You For Your Feedback!</title></head><body> <h3 align=center> Thank you for your feedback.<br> We value your input.<br> We will get back to you as soon as possible! </h3><br> <? if(!$visitormail == "" && (!strstr($visitormail,"@") || !strstr($visitormail,"."))) { echo "<h2>Use Back Button - Enter a valid e-mail</h2>\n"; $badinput = "<h2>Feedback was NOT submitted</h2>\n"; } if(empty($visitor) || empty($visitormail) || empty($notes )) { echo "<h2>Use Back Button - make sure you fill in all fields</h2>\n"; } echo $badinput; $todayis = date("l, F j, Y, g:i a"); $attn = $attn; $subject = $attn; $notes = stripcslashes($notes); $message = " $todayis [EST] \n Attention: $attn \n Message: $notes \n From: $visitor ($visitormail)\n Additional Info : IP = $ip \n Browser Info: $httpagent \n Referral : $httpref \n"; $from = "From: $visitormail\r\n"; mail("you@yourdomain.com", $subject, $message, $from); //CHANGE THIS TO YOUR EMAIL ?> <P align=center> Date: <?php echo $todayis ?><BR> Thank You : <?php echo $visitor ?> ( <?php echo $visitormail ?> )<BR> Your message has been sent.<BR>We will be in touch shortly.<BR><BR> Attention: <?php echo $attn ?><BR> Message:<BR><?php $notesout = str_replace("\r", "<br/>", $notes); echo $notesout; ?><BR> <?php echo $ip ?> </P></body></html>And there you have a complete emailing systen in php for your website. Feel free to modify it any way you see fit. You can even copy the above code and save it in two files, one named contact.php and one named thankyou.php and change the one line to your email address and it will work "right out of the box." One of the features of the thankyou page is it informs the sender that the email has been sent as well as displaying their name, date, subject of the email, text of the message sent and their IP address. I hope you find this code useful. EDIT: I forgot to add, you can see this script in action at Everything For Free.
  18. I am 100% against democracy. Why? You can read about the differences between a democracy and a republic HERE. It is very informative and eye-opening to those that don't really understand the difference. In a nutshell, the difference between a democracy and a republican form of government is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. Democracy is mob rules. Even Thomas Jefferson was against this form of government. Even the U.S. Constitution guarantees a Republican form of government, not a democracy. The founding father of the United States of America understood that a Republican form of government would protect the individual rights and not the whim of the majority. Their belief was every human had personal sovereignity and Rights that were granted by God. As God is the highest authority, these God-given Rights could not be taken away by governments. But, of course, this is happening now. One question I have is "If a God-given Right cannot be taken away or controlled by government, why do I have to be licensed to exercise some of them? Why is the government refusing to comply with the limits imposed upon it by the Constitution?" The American government has become too oppressive and is slowly taking away the Rights of The People. That is why I am a named Plantiff on the Landmark Case (USDC Case # 04CV01211) We The People, et al v. United States. You will see my name, Bryan K Reinhart, on page 26 of the Complaint. The lawsuit against the government is because the federal government is committing wrongful, unconstitutional acts resulting in injuries, loss and damage to millions of American citizens. You can find out more about the Fight to restore the Rights to the American people at the We The People Foundation.
  19. If you refer to the 2nd link in the original post you will see that there is nothing at the location in question. There is no water tower, hole in the ground, car on a pole, etc. What is also interesting is there is another flying car. You can check it out here. It is also located in the city of Perth.
  20. To do keyword searches you can use the Keyword Selector Tool and to view bids for keywords you can use the Max Bids Tool, both at Overture.
  21. If the PHP file in question is nothing more than an HTML with some PHP embedded in it, then changing the extension would work. Just make sure you change the extension back after editing.
  22. Hey, no problem. I enjoy helping someone if I can. All you really need to do now is to create your own theme to match the rest of your site. Shouldn't be that difficult. It wasn't necessary to credit my account but it is appreciated. Good luck with your ministy and God bless..
  23. All you people make me feel old First computer? That was way back in 1977 when my father bought an Apple ][. Years later, in 1982, we upgraded to an IBM 5150, better known as the IBM PC. In ran at a super fast 4.77MHz, had TWO 5.25" floppy drives (no hard drive), a massive 64k RAM, monochrome monitor and ran MS-DOS 1.1 (and I still have this machine to this day. It still works). I did not upgrade systems until 1991 when I purchased an 80286 running at 12MHZ with 1MB RAM, 40MB hard disk, both 3.5" and 5.25" floppy drives, VGA graphic adapter with Paradise chipset and 256k onboard memory, 8-bit soundblaster card, VGA monitor with maximum resolution of 640x480 256 color, MS-DOS 3.3... it had the works! This machine cost me $1600 and I still have the receipt but not the computer.
  24. I used to use WebCrawler for all my searching until I stumbled across Google way back in 1996. At that time it was Google Beta. I liked how the page loaded quickly on my 56k modem (remember, this was in 1996). When I did a search, it gave results pretty quickly. (And Google used to state how many pages they had indexed. They no longer disply this statistic.) Ever since then I've been using Google for everything. The only time I use other search engines is to see if my webpages have been indexed. I was surprised throughout the years how Google took off so quickly and how they are expanding into many different areas of the web. And it all started as a student project at Stanford University...
  25. By going straight to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and not http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/bible.php I immediately see your porblem. All the bible data needs to be in its own directory and the themes needs its own directory. The structure should be: YourRootDir |_____bible |___bible |___themes Since you have the books in the 1st bible directory you'll need to change the line that says$config["bible_midfix"] = "bible/"; to $config["bible_midfix"] = "/"; but I wouldn't do this. It is vital that you keep the directory structure intact to maintain a working script. Changing anything can cause it to break (as you are experiencing). Once this is done, your script will be working. Make sure you upload the entire bible and themes directory. What I did is changed the second bible directory name to "data" (where all the bible books are) so I can keep things better sorted and changed the line above to say $config["bible_midfix"] = "data/"; //The directory that the bible data is in.Let me know how you are coming along.
