Free Mmorpg's Let us know of your favorite MMORPG.
FirefoxRocks replied to barnes's topic in Computer Gaming
Favourite MMORPG's: 1. X-Kings 2. Travian 3. Neopets (not really RPG but it is great). 4. AdventureQuest Those are my recommended ones. I'll try out some of the mentioned ones as well. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Neopets referral link removed. Only non-material gaining links are allowed. Erm...ok. I don't know what non-material gaining is but if it helps me follow rules, then ok. I am now playing RuneScape, which I think that it rocks. Well, back to the game! -
I agree.Warez - illegal software or a program used to crack into software in order to gain functions, more time use, or any other advantage without legally paying for the full version of the softwareI made that definition up.First of all, Warez sites are completely illegal. They help developers lose money. - One site got caught...fines for the 2 owners were a vast trillion dollars.Secondly, Warez sites contain ANNOYING popups, spyware/adware and viruses. I have tried to download a crack for those popular tycoon games (I admit it). Shaw Secure caught the Trojan/Worm when I initiated installation.McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox shows MOST Warez sites as red unsafe sites. I totally agree with that. However, BitTorrent is used to distribute Warez also. I didn't even know that until I knew what I had downloaded was Warez. OMG!SuprNova.org was closed down due to HUGE Warez distribution.Killing Warez sites is only the first step.

I need to find some "Make Money Online" sites that pay through PayPal and/or eGold. The site cannot request ADDRESS (state/province and country okay) or PHONE NUMBER.Is there any sites that will pay only through these services without demographical info given?Thanks.P.S. I live in Canada, they should be Canadian-compatible.

Revolving Istats Human Information Technologies
FirefoxRocks replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Science and Technology
In a game? o.O.Anyways, the revolving iStats is supposed to make communication easier, also the flexibility of the human being much more active, etc. I guess it will fail like the Microsoft .NET Passport did. -
Help With Creating Account Invalid Username/Password
FirefoxRocks replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Web Hosting Support
Can I actually trust you to handle my password and information? -
Will GMail ever run out of Server space? I mean:The Google Pages ervice only provides 10 MB of space.Isn't that a little weird? We don't need that much space for Email. But we do need a lot of space for websites. The point is: Google knows that we will not need so much email space. It is exaggerating the numbers. However, if Google actually has this much space, why wouldn't it be balanced between GMail and GPages?Consider if EVERYONE used that much Email space. Would Google be offering more space then?Or is Google actually buying millions of servers everyday?

Revolving Istats Human Information Technologies
FirefoxRocks replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Science and Technology
It was just a theory anyways. The system cannot be modified in any way except by the own user. People would not be able to hack into the system in any manner. Well, I did consider that. The device would have an option of Show Information or Hide Information. However, if crimes are commited then that information cannot be hidden. Now what do you think? -
IN the future, all humans will have a revolving virtual iPod shape screen above thier heads. This can show any stats possible, such as Health, Relationships, Current Status, Consequences, etc.For example:Voice: "select menu" "Health" "physical" "body temperature"The screen would then display the human temperature.A lot more information can be inputted.Wireless voice networks will be transmitted to other iStats. (talking)This will create many benefits. For example:"Current task" (deciding about smoking) "Task options" (1. Smoke. 2. Don't smoke) "Consequences" (list of consequences) "Task options" "2"It will be voice activated and will have quadrupal confirmation of long term effect actions.Don't you think this would be awesome?

Ways to boost internet connection speed: P2P software - The so called "addon" accelerators don't work very well. Instead, disable sharing or uploading. Downloading from HTTP or FTP servers: Have multiple connections. Use a Download Manager such as GetRight. Browsing the Internet: Use Mozilla Firefox. Type about:config in the address bar. Change the following values: browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction = 3 dom.popup_maximum = Any number less than 5. 3 is recommended. network.http.max-connections = (Dial-Up/DSL internet: 48; Cable/T1 Internet: 96) network.http.max-connections-per-server = (Slow: 16/Fast 32) network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 8 network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server= 8 network.http.pipelining = True network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 8 nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0 That should speed it up a lot.

Google Reader Beta Googles RSS Reader
FirefoxRocks replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Search Engines
We should probably move this into the Google Services section. Anyone have the power to do this? I know this isn't the appropriate place for it. Notice from serverph: for future reference, use the REPORT button next time for concerns like this. -
Hotmail might be REPLACED and overwritten, but not disappeared I think.Windows Live Mail is currently available through request. I have sent in a few requests and have not gotten a response.Windows Live Messenger is a lot worse than MSN Messenger 7.5. It has many unnecessary features as well as hiding the number of online contacts.Trillian is okay. It has enough features for my messenger.Yahoo! Mail BETA is awesome, it acts like Mozilla Thunderbird. Yes, it is trying to compete with GMail. But the main advantage is GMail is available through Cell Phone or invitation only basis.ShinyFeet email is not that popular. Its storage space is little.Anyways, hope I receive the invite soon.

Ever heard of this? https://www.google.com/reader/about/ It is Google's RSS reader. It is still in BETA testing (as everything in Google is) and it seems to work quite well. I'll try adding several more feeds. Anyone heard of it?

I prefer Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2. Opera 8.53 is for an alternative browser and java applets (to speed up loading). I use IE 6 to update my computer and play Online Games. SeaMonkey 1.0.1 (Mozilla 1.7.12) is used for designing websites (sometimes).I also use Avant Browser 10.4.xx, Maxthon 1.5.1, Netscape 8.2, Windows Internet Explorer 7 BETA 2 and Opera 9 BETA.I use them ALL to test my website.

I want to try Linux. For those people who have it, what do you recommend? WHat distribution? Is it a graphical interface or something like MS-DOS? I want something that is graphical. How many GB is required for Linux? I have an older hard disk with 5 GB, only 3 GB available for partitioning.Floppy Linux versions will not boot correctly. The computer does NOT have Internet access, CD-R reading and only 64 MB of memory. What is recommended?

Okay. I have decided to close the website temporarily. Please give me suggestions of how to make "cool" layouts. And also tell me how to improve navigation. I want some tips on that. Keep these points in mind: - accessibility - valid XHTML and CSS - good design - not too cluttered - speed - Gecko/Trident/IE compatible - page width (the content is the point of the page, not the design) - NO FRAMES or TABLES for layouts! Please suggest some ideas, as I wish to implement some into my website. Thanks for the comments.
-
Okay, thank you for all opinions.I have predicted that the navigation is a bit "off", it says "First-time web developers might cause users to navigate confusingly through the site".How do you suggest I change the navigation and layout? The domain name issue: I will consider that later. Some links that don't work exist on the games page.It is valid XHTML 1.1, please revalidate. It has been all the time.Thank you for all opinions.

Internet Radio How To Make It ?
FirefoxRocks replied to farsiscript's topic in Websites and Web Designing
About Internet Radio: If you are willing to broadcast Internet Radio, get a radio license and broadcast in your local area too if there is a lot of population. Anyways, I like listening to Internet Radio. I recommend http://ww4.q104fm.ca/ and clicking on Listen Live Now!
