hi friends,JSP is a technology which combines the power of Java Servlets and html. i.e, the presentation layer and the business logic. In case anyone is unaware, Java servlets are like java program which execute on the server(u can call them programs for server side processing)basically jsp are converted into servlets by the web server or servlet container.Its lets u separate the part of presentation from complex logic of processing. It is very powerful technology which allow you to build scalable applications. Features like custom tags add to its power. The sun's site wud be a good source of information about the same. Cheers.

I have used linux on home pc and it is really good. Earlier version need some unix knowledge to install it. But newer ones like Mandrake, Redhat are easier to install and come with a whole lot of utilites. The cost is the major factor which is almost zero compared to MS Win.Cheers.

yeah, I read it a few days back. It is one book u wud find difficult to put down. Every page and chapter are interesting. Not one time did I found it boring..A must read for everyone.

hi friends,Cloning is a scientific devleopment. As it is for any scientific devlopment has its positives and drawbacks.True that cloning wud save lives, bring back extinct species....but think what disasters it cud bring if it become easy to clone humans. u cud have a hair and not know that u clone has been created from ur hair dna(as far as i understand that wud work). moreover it wud create imbalances in nature due to the intervention in the process. what i wud like to say is that cloning could be used in certain extreme cases but wud not be so sure about human cloning per se. Everything if put to proper use is a boon whereas in wrong hands it is a bane... so b4 anything we need to make sure that it is not used to harm anyone.Cheers.

I have been using invision board for some time now and like it better that phpBB. Even the look and feel is good. The only thing I miss is its integration wrapper with mambo, since my site runs on mambo. I have to open it in separate window.

nope... i have never seen such a message.. maybe some system on ur ISP's network might be sending automated search request to overload google and they might have blocked the subnet just as a precaution....

yeah, one of the best games I played so far...was addicted to it and played all night sometimes..I played scenarious or campaigns in the beginning but later random map only.I have played it over LAN for some time and it was great competing and lot better than against the computer..A few improvements in age of mythology were good... and now am playing that more often... (actually i did not like it first but later felt this was better)..heard that age of empires 3 is going to be released. can wait to play it....saw a few screenshots somewhere....may be their site..

hi,when u create a mysql database, u get 3 connection strings for php, perl and jdbc. use them.I suppose the hostname is localhost.else, install a cms/forum on ur account and go their particular files to find how the connection are made there.use similar method in ur case then..... hope this helped.Cheers.

yeah, I too have seen the documentary. There are a few forwards also in circulation with photographs and the irregularities.The shadows and the flapping flag are certainly good enough to raise doubts. and if u think long enough, the logical thing is that if we have gone there once, why did they not go again. It has been a long time since and the technological progress would ensure that we gather more important data which can be used by the scientists. Its not like that they had collected all the data that time. Moreover what i suppose is that if the landing was real, then there wud definitely have been more missions. btw all said, no9t9 what made the flag flutter when there is no atmosphere.The foot-prints would not have been so deep, since the gravity is 1/6th that on earth. All the facts put forward in the documentary seem to have a reason.Also, it has been long since the documentary was released but I have not heard of any comments/clarification to the doubts raised in the documentary by the space agency in question.

I too tried instaling tikiwiki, nucleus, but got the same error...I have enough space for them...

nowadays compilers are also written in Java or C and compiled. But earlier the compilers were written in assembly language. i.e, critical portions of compiler relating to parsing and converting to binary code would be written in assembly language as a basic functionality and then this would be used to develop the rest. As alperuzi said, the compiler design course in computer science relates to this and is very interesting. You can find material on this course online too. Go thru it, not that u would/would not understand it at the first go... but a little effort would make it worthwhile.

It has a few new features like Enhanced 'for' loop Autoboxing Static Imports Varargs and a few others.... http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/index.html I found the for loop and autoboxing would be quite useful, but am yet to look into other features. hone ur language skills by developing something that you need. The satisfaction that comes out of doing it all yourself is tremendous, that u will feel only once u do it.It can be something as simple as a calculator or calender or more complex like assembler or an interpretor for a small language.You can add gui using C graphics too, if that makes it more cool......but definitely u learn a lot this way....

hi Binod,As far as I know, Html, javascript, vbscript are client-side scripting languages. u cannot access a database on server using these. To use a database u need some server-side scripting language like php,cgi-perl, jsp or servlets. u can use windows version of mysql along with some webserver like apache to test ur site locally. u need to user other servers depending on the scripting language that u choose like tomcat for jsp/servlets.
