Geeeeee!That's cool. I just would like to tell you that once I was enraged and took my Motorola cell phone and smashed it against the floor. It flew before my eyes into several pieces, jajajaja. I left it there and after chilling out, I took all the pieces and to my surprise I could put them all together and stills works as when I bought it, after three years. Some cell phones get broken by just beinf droped from short heights. So, I'm sure Motorola is good. Or I'm lucky.

Mmmm... some times I hate XP but it's not that bad. I just stoped entering into every "interesting" site I could, stoped using iExplorer, I'm now careful woth everything I download and install, bought a PC with a better processor and got lots of RAM!! =P

First of all, I have seen mobile phones that have features like those here in M?xico, so you could look for something like that. Just as a comment, a friend bought a nice phone in the US and back in Mexico it crashed. He could do nothing but buy a new one, because there was no store that could take his phone's warranty. Any way, if you would like to buy it outside M?xico, be sure that the phone is not blocked in any way, so it could just work with a GSM SIM card from Telcel. Or, look out to make a good friend of a technician at Telcel, jeje, to get him or her get your phone to work. Any thing is possible.Good luck.

As some have already said, any new technology brings good things and bad things. As a scientific advance, it's a good thing. I just would insist to invest and work hard on ways to see how the future would be after releasing any new thing out there. I'm sure nobody thought at the beggining that cars would be a treat to our enviroment. Or if someone did, what a shame!! Related to this, I remember that money is a powerful thing that can change the course of history, no matter who gets injured some times. To me, it is a matter of education and moral values, but I'm not talking about religion.

Well, that's true, but those iDEN phones used for radio, here, are intended to be used by people at work, because they provide much faster communication, just by pushing a button, and other features, like sending voide messages in a file to an email account, just bypressing the same button. However, there are "normal" people who use those phones just as cell phones, and as everything, if those gadgets cell phones have will be a treat to iDEN phones, I believe that Motorola or whatever manufacturer makes them, will include cool things later. Well, for anything, notepad is a very good option, yet, you have to dominate everything: HTML, web standards, etc., otherwise, you could loose time. Even for assembly languaje But for previews, testing and working on several documents, Dreamweaver is a good choice. To me.

I just can't recall. I had an Atari, wich was really good, worked fine for everything, only it had an accident. Anyway, my second one was an Acer, Intel 386, 16KB of RAM, I believe... Je. Still works really fine and is fast enough, ran Win 1.something. I'm sure that the power regulator did the trick about endurance, I have an HP Pavilion, kinda old, but also works fine, and them both are plugged to a regulator.

If they say the minimum is 512MB, then for making it work properly, you must have 1GB =P 2GB for heavy applications.When XP was released it was supposed to run fine with 128MB, but only without any other application, jajaja, for a good performance you need at least 512MB.

Well, after a brief research, I've found the answer to my question, je. The technology cellular phones use is similar to the one used by radios. But when I say radios, I mean Digital Radios, made by Motorola, yet best known as IDEN Phones. The signal modulates o carries digital data, including voice and text or images. Just as cell phones do nowadays. But, there are differences, so you could say those are different technologies. The one used by Nextel in my country has been developed by Motorola, and it's called iDEN: Integrated Digital Enhaced Network. With that you need a radio, not a cell phone. But it could be confusing because at the end, the radio can be used as a cell phone itself, but it's like qhen you get a cell phone with digital camera, it's not the main porpouse. So, radios are used for work or business, because it's possible to make whoever uses a radio listen to you inmediately. Like a radio, but digital. A really good thing about it is that you could get in touch with some one that has the same service in another country, or state. That avoids the problems of signal strenght, of course it has limitations, it would only work where there is coverage. Also, among a lot of features, one of those radios can be used also like a wireless modem. You can connect a laptop or palm and get connected to the Internet. You could check your email, receive messages, send voice messages to an email account (using the radio button, that's kinda cool), etc. Many have GPS features and a way to be located using special Internet services. As I said, those radios could be used for making phone calls, like a cell phone. With that it is possible to get the modem work. All other services use digital packages. In general, the main four services are: direct connection (radio), Phone network access, modem and messages. I'm using an AMD Athlon XP, wich has been working perfectly for more than three years. Yet, I have found while asking other people that Intel endures more, but they're really more expensive. As some say about AMD, they are gaining on popularity and so far, are a serious competitor.

I have seen their specs, and they seem to be really good, but I was wondering, are they good for working too??? I would like to buy one of those, but I would run also stuff like AutoCad, Adobe and Macromedia stuff, and don't wanna find that there's a catch. Just by the specs, they seem to be able to launch anything!!! of course, their cost is almos the double a regular lap would be. What do you think???

So far, while using Windows XP, its own firewall has served well enough. While I used win2k, I used Zone Alarm without any trouble, as far as I know It wasn't really "heavy" and I like the way it could be configured.

It seems that the T40/41/42s will "last longer", meaning they won't be obsolete soon, thinking of all that wi-fi stuff. About serial, USB is a serial port, and there are even hardware adapters. Yet, maybe your brother should consider asking for a used laptop with all those things he needs, and with Win98 Installed, I'm pretty sure any would be cheap.

Just as anything else, I don't think I would buy a phone made by Apple, but I'm sure I would like to see them, there are some cool things about their designs. =)

As many people, I'm a cell phone user, but regular. I know there's a different system that uses different cell phones that work just like 2 way radios. What's the main difference? Do they use the same cells for transmitting or is a differente technology? I understand they are better suitable for business, so I guess they're more expensive. Are they? I would consider getting some of those radios, maybe for my family, what do you think? Do they have good reception? good audio? I just would like to know of somebody else's opinion. Just like a comment... waste of technology would be using a $2,500 USD computer for playing super mario bros. Without saying that you have to wait... what? 30seconds? 1 minute to start? If your PC is fast enough. I love Atari, my very first console but when I got to NES I was really more than pleased. If I could get a whole new NES console, I'd be happy There are few games like Zelda, Zelda II, Ninja Gaiden , etc. in new systems. I'm not saying they are bad, it's just that I witnessed some of the beginning of the consoles evolution with NES, Sega Genesis, Atari, and it's good to me to give them credit. Guess I felt in love back then I would like to share the experience with younger people, and for sure with my children, if I ever have children
