I my self being a VB programmer for some time, Ive come to think at time if I should take up JAVA programming? I mean JAVA programs can run on any platform with Java runtime environment. While VB can only run in windows! So what if one of your friend wants that great programs you just made but he has Linux? Well worry no more! Because I just found the software that maybe can wipe away those little problems for sure while letting you keep programming in VB. The software is call VB converter from Diamond Edge Co. Ž Its a really cool software which allows you to completely convert all your VB programs into java programs with just one click! Although this is not a free where you can try it for 30 days in the trial version. 30 days mean not 30 day from after you install it, but 30 you actually started or used VB! With the trial version you can convert only a limited amount of Forms and Modules at a time. In order to run the application you need to have: 1. Windows 95 or higher 2. VB 5.0 or higher 3. Java 2 SDK (which can easily be downloaded for free at: javahttp://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index.html 4. The Windows IIS (Internet Information Server) must be installed. The IIS can be installed in XP by going to ADD/remove programs>Add/remove Windows Component> And check ON the IIS and Install. 5. I agree. Gaming in Linux is not a very good idea. Linux is NOT a gaming OS. If your a really "i need games" person you should either Dual boot or i think Mepis inux has option to emulate windows inside linux or something! Why don't you search and try that! I think it'll ork as good as the real thing! You should try searching in linux.com or on the mepis/knoppixe linux web site!

I agree with the top ContributersYou better have atleats an average of a 1,000 visitors per hour or two to get that much money or to get even cose to that! Anyway i made up a list of things i think will be usefull to you when increasing the number of visitors. IF YOU GOT MONEY TO SPEND! 1. Buy a good domain with a hosting service with alot of tools like forums and members sites with server side checking. 2. Pay Google Or Yahoo to be sure you are listed on the first page or second on a relevent search. 3. Learn a good scripting language and make your site really RADD!IF YOU DONT HAVE MONEY TO BURN THEN: 1. If your using a subdomain get a very short URL like "you.**.com" then less people will actually get that it's a subdomain.2. Get some cool templates to your site. There are realy cool free template site like freetemplates.com and more ( just search for it)3. Learn and use a good scripting language to spice up your web site!4. Give the visitors something to come for (use bait!) do a small contest or quiz and give away some prize (it doesn't always have to be a big prize!!!) 5. Know your vistors; do a questionair your self on the customers through e-mail or through the web site and know what thier attracted to and know what they don't llike! Hope this much helps BYE!!

Dear duymongurl (o something), For your information, Linux is one of the if not the best Os's ever to come! And besides i and alot of friends use Ubuntu linux and we have had no problem with it!! Why do you have to be sooo darn insulting? i mean you get everything in linux for free! You dont have to pay huge bucks to get it like you have to in Windows! Just becuase you don't know how to use linux and just because you had a hard time with it's graphics doesn't mean linux is all bad!!! I mean did you know that there is only 3 to 4 viruses for linux IN THE WORLD!!!! Ain't that good enough for you ! And why did you go and ask for help in the chat rooms! of course they were rude cause they just want to chat! the are not CUSTOMER SERVICE Representatives! Why did'nt you try the help forum in ubuntu.com? They helped me step by step it the last click! So PLEASE be more polite when ritisising Linux Before even knowing it!!! Nice Work finding that out but do you think it's really importan to start IE from CMD? i mean you can always just double-click on an icons! Forgive me if i'm wrong but i mean the Command line era is way gone! Get with it and just Click Away!! I'm really sorry if i've got you all wrong but the way i see it. It's much easier to just click!

I don really agree with the PHP critics! I means ASP is much easier to learn than PHP and you dont need to install the language all over again! Besides the Original messege was for A ASP BOOK ! why do you want to change his/her mind! Any way atleast someone was right! Yesy W3school is the best place! So Go Ahead!

Nice Post on VB! It'll really help with the new VB programmer I REALLY MEAN IT! To told them every thing step by step BUT..I am Telling this with UPMOST respect and THE NICEST WAY I CAN. I my self am a vb programmer for 4 years an don't you think you should teach the lovely people how to like get the text of a text box ex. "MsgBOx("Welcome" & TExt1.Text) rather than teaching them string from the biggining? I mean there are easier ways to get text or values from objects like Text boxes and Labels? Other than that ht etotal post is really COOOOOL keep up the good work!!!

Hey why dont you try a Server side language like ASP or PHP . It can make your page much more advance, interactive and fun. You can also do alot of cool stuff with these languages. So heres some tips to keep in mind before taking up a language. ASP:[/b ] () Easy to learn and short coding to type () Windows viewers don't have to install Asp to view site cause ASP is ....................automatically installed in windos. () Best for Bigginers and has to have a ASP enabled server PHP: () A bit hard to use and learn () More advance coding () Free ware () Has to have special servers. Yes I know to cook, I may be young but i can cook my own dinners and lunch. I voted Yes in your Poll. By the way for those who don't know how to cook very well Heres some tips!1. Don't worry about exact mesuring justadd the amount you think is just right. (it won't be good at first!) but after time you'll get use to it.2. Get some fresh fruits; don't use canned food it may be easy but it alot more less tastier! Fresh food tastes much better.3. Moms know best; It may be a drag but it's true moms do know alot when it come to cooking so if your not sure how to do something just nask her (if you still can't ask, just buy some books!)

Sombody please help me. I tried to get a free web hosting account twice by now and was rejected cause i didn't use the Application Form generator. But when i fill up the form and click "generate application" An error come saying "File not acquired!" PLease if sombody could help me it would be really nice! :D :(

I totaly agree with xboxrulz windows has a long history of copying technologies from linux! Comon even the Glass2K software thats said to be given out with Vista is also a copy from linux!Why cant Microsoft stop Steeling stuf from talented developers and make up their own technologies?

Hey guys/gals (i really don't know!) it's not about the kind of extension your using! just go to Tools>Options>(Your adblocker options) and turn off the blocking or if you don't have a blocker installed just got otTool>Options>Content and from there you can enable or disable the ad blocking!It's that easy. Come to think of it FIRE FOX IS EASY!!!!!
